Amstrad AS Ignored the evidence…

Amstrad AS Ignored the evidence provided of the online parking payment and proceeded to the small claims court only to discontinue the claim at the last minute.
The charge plus fees their collection firm, BW Legal ask for seem to be below £300 allowing them to pay the lowest court fees of £35.
If a percentage of victims pay under the threat of a CCJ they win.
Online parking advice: Take a screenshot of your online ticket. It helped me. If you have proof you've paid and tried to settle the matter let them take you to court. They will either drop out or you'll have a telephone appointment with a court mediator. Good luck!

Absolutely disgraceful company

Absolutely disgraceful company ! Very rude , uncaring phone operators . I have Motor Neurone Disease and parked in The Strand car park in Newlyn . My carer paid for two hours parking and we assumed that with most decent parking companies that Blue Badge holders get at least 30mins extra time . Anyway I went over time, received a PCN . Whilst I was away from home due to ill health and on my return found the letter and the lesser payment time had run out . Armtrac were very unpleasant and basically said they don't care about anybody circumstances !!! Why oh why are people using these unscrupulous parking companies . They are only interested in money !

Disgusting Company

Absolutely disgusting firm to deal with. Paid for my ticket but machine never asked me for my car registration number or gave me a ticket. It did ask if I wanted a receipt so I got that and put it in my car windscreen. I received a fixed penalty notice. I appealed and sent in the receipt but was told I have to still pay the penalty of £60.00. Plus the original £4.50 paid thats a very expensive couple of hours spent at Port Isaac. I rang up to give feedback and the rude staff member put the phone down on me.

Wish I could rate NO STARS

Wish I could rate NO STARS - disgusting, shady company with no morales, very very rude staff & even when it’s their error they continue to harass & bully people. They disgust me - the cost to park works out to be 0.02 pence per minute so how they can justify such huge fines is beyond me - the landowner must be a very sad and pathetic man with nothing but his little power crazed ego to keep him happy - threatening, harassing and BW Legal are crooks to - valid ticket displayed, appealed to Armtrac - vile woman on phone so rude - and then harassing letters - Cornwall deserves better than low life’s like this - I’m very glad people are boycotting these places and word is spreading - the courts need to see how much they are doing to harm people and their mental health with their bullying

Like everyone else says

Like everyone else says - they're scammers and crooks. My partner pulled over in a car park for 2 minutes, 2 weeks later (past the initial £60 payment date) they sent a fine for £100 and have a picture of my car with a 2 minute time stamp arriving and leaving. I phoned and explained, woman was so incredibly rude and hostile, even though I was being very polite about the ridiculous situation. Ended up paying £267 as they sent it to "BW Legal". Most expensive 2 minutes of our lives.

We had parked by our holiday property…

We had parked by our holiday property in Marazion which we had for a week, when we got home a few weeks later we had a parking fine of £100! We had an exemption ticket to put in our car for parking and one day had forgotten to put it on the car! There were only 3 cars other cars there all week, it was a cul-de-sac and in February so certainly not busy. They had put a notice on our car at the time but the following morning we didn't see it there, I'm guessing it must have blown off. I wrote to tell them this and that we had been staying there but didn't make any difference. They must have seen our car there on the other days before with the displayed exemption ticket. This must be bad for tourism as we won't be going back there again. I'm amazed they can get away with this, I see we're not the only ones either!!

I had a parking ticket while supporting…

I had a parking ticket while supporting a young Austistic person In St Ives Cornwall. I did pay but only for 1hour when we had been there for 3 hours as they said, I made an appeal. And never heard from them .only months later from my old address I get a letter that says I need to pay 160£ . Now I call them explaining the situation seen if they can help but they all about money. And said nothing they can do. That's my 2 days pay after tax I have to pay them. 😪 hope this company get regulated. Yes I'm at fault but if you have ever dealt with people needing mental health support you will know its challenging and some times you can miss out on time when you where trying to handle an incident. Lady on phone was so rude is just I need to pay the money its done its my fault I should pay. Yeah I will pay. Thanks.

For goodness sake, do something!

As furious and exasperated as everyone else. Paid £100 to these immoral rogues for 45min in storm conditions in March in Porth where other car parks are free at this time of year.
Surely what they do is tountamount to illegal and yet it continues. I have encountered other charlatan car parks in Cornwall. It is not exactly conducive to the tourism you are hoping to attract.

As per previous reviews

As per previous reviews ; CROOKS , send reminders even though original never sent ; so instead of £60 then want £100 . Also agree IAS appeals company are in their pockets. I hope the owner John Steven Gautrey can sleep at night. BBC Rogue traders will be knocking on your door very soon. .

Absolute scamming cowboys

Absolute scammers. They never allow an appeal even when their own photographs evidence they are at fault, and instead of being affiliated to a transparent reputable independent body such as POPLA to appeal they direct you to appeal to a biased agency affiliated to parking companies who only allow 17% of appeals compared to over 50% of the reputable body.

Mental Health issues pending

Unhappy, angry depressed employees who feel dejected work at this company who have a diminishing responsibility to their reactions. The lack empathy tact and detach themselves what it is to be a kind caring human being who seeks to help others. It must be exhausting being that miserable everyday. I would seek medical advice for your mental health if I were you as it will catch up.

Firstly the rating should be minus 5…

Firstly the rating should be minus 5 stars, they fine you when their machine isn’t working then call you a liar as the machine was used at the time I was trying to pay, so clearly it was me using a machine that wouldn’t register the money !!! You then go through the process of appealing which they don’t bother to reply to ( I’ve also checked spam ) when you query the fact that you haven’t received a response to your appeal they insist one was sent out and say you are a liar, absolutely disgusting, vile people, personally I will be warning everyone I know to stick to council car parks, it’s about time something was done about their appalling behaviour and vile attitude on the phone !!!

Wholly unsuitable company to manage parking

If it were possible they would deserve minus 5 stars. The whole system they use is deliberately designed to make it next to impossible to achieve a successful & genuine appeal against a totally unfair PCN notice. Bought ticket to park at Sennet Cove near the Capstan Gallery.Displayed using sticker to attach to windscreen. Returned to car well within time allocated. PCN under wiper. Ticket had become detached in bright sunshine and was lying upside down on dashboard. PCN - “ticket not correctly displayed”. YES IT WAS - it had obviously fallen off. Am I so stupid that I would pay for a ticket, detach the sticker then put it upside down so it couldn’t be read? Appealed - complete waste of time. Letter from Armtrac stating that if I appealed I would wave right to ‘discount’. Extremely difficult to contact company. Receptionist rude, uncooperative, basically the company are generating profit for themselves. I would encourage all who suffer an unjustly proportionate fine by writing to Council stating how Armtrac behave/ literally put people off visiting Cornwall.

Paid for ticket via Ringo

Paid for ticket via Ringo, but the car recently had a new number plate which wasn't registered via Ringo as the app had not had the information from DVLA yet. Despite me paying for a ticket for exactly the same vehicle. they still issued a ticket. I've had many an issue form them before such as parking in my own parking space at my flat displaying my parking permit. I would taker it to court but they are such a bunch of C**ts it's not worth wasting any more energy on them. Maybe we should all club to together and start up our own ethical parking company and put them out of business??

Honestly the dirtiest parking company…

Honestly the dirtiest parking company going. I spoke to the most awful customer services rep on the phone and despite me being very professional and friendly she was incredibly rude, dismissive and wouldn't let me get a word in edgeways and was extremely unhelpful. They don't get back to your appeal before 28 days and will most likely reject your appeal so you have to pay the full £100 charge. AVOID parking in these car parks at all costs.

Edit: I just paid the fine after not hearing back from them and they got back to my appeal instantly saying the parking has now been paid and can no longer be appealed. They obviously wait for you to cave before responding. Just disgusting.
