Verbally abused by staff member

The most disheartening experience from such a vile woman who works for such a company I do not know how and from what I can read below in the other reviews/comments, this is not the 1st, second or 6th time this particular lady has been complained about. Either the company does not do checks or telephone monitoring reviews on their members of staff or this lady is a closer connection to the owner/manager.

The woman was so extremely unprofessional to the point she caused me not only upset but a chronic anxiety attack after being spoken too so poorly. I quote “you must not be that clever because you clearly didn’t do anything right” was one of her comments, and that wasn’t the half of it. I was belittled, she continued to hang the phone up on me. I was shouted at down the phone. I was also threatened that she would not be answering the phone to me anymore after the verbal abuse from her and then to have her answer the phone and put it straight back down and then block me from calling. This behaviour is utterly disgusting.

This soon did not and has not become a concern about the ticket anymore, but more on how I was being treated by a member of staff by a registered company.

I then continued to ask for a complaints procedure, she told me you cannot complain and you will not complain?? I was also told good luck with that.

Her comments and the way that I was dealt with was completely verbal abuse which was completely unnecessary towards any human being and strictly not allowed in any place of work.

I have yet had to chase up again regarding my appeal which I have not received and again was dealt with in a very blunt manner however on this occasion I think she is aware of who I am and tried her hardest to bite her tongue but the vibe and the sarcastic comments yet again have not helped her at all. I was then told that they were far too busy to send me the email and I would have to wait until they are ready. I asked her would this be done at the end of the day? She could not give me an answer I said I would try calling again tomorrow. Again, unprofessional.

Fortunately this has been reported to Trading Standards and a reference and documentation is in place and a formal written complaint will be written to the address provided alongside CAB.

I hope this is taken into consideration as it will need to be and let’s hope a member of staff like herself will not be allocated to work at these premises anymore and surely they will find someone a lot more better and understanding with the public. Regardless of their circumstances and their situations, nobody should be spoken to so appallingly like she did here.

Another scumbag of a company!!

Another scumbag of a company and I look forward to them being hauled over hot coals eventually. Lowlifes at the finest, currently under rhe protection of the legal system but that protection is guaranteed to run out eventually and hopefully an empty jail cell or two will hold the people involved! Obviously I agree with paying for parking but you guys are thieves, even when proof is submitted you just want to get more from people.

Absolute scumbags

Absolute scumbags. Like someone else here, I received an 'overdue' notice on a parking fine, however I never received the first notice. I spoke to a lady on the phone looking for some goodwill to reduce the fine back to the original £60 that would have been an option if paid within 14 days (I would have been happy to pay this as I did overstay at a car park) and she said 'no, that's the fine, we have proof of posting the first notice with the Royal Mail'. Apparently me not receiving the letter is 'not their problem'. I'm not proud of myself, but I raised my voice, to which she told me she 'had my address' and hung up. That sounds like a threat to me. Absolutely livid and nothing I can do.

DO NOT USE had to pay £100 for paying…

DO NOT USE had to pay £100 for paying on the day but them saying I’d paid for the wrong car park using the code in the car park . Scam rob dogs appealed but they did nothing to help wouldn’t surprise me if they worked together. My boyfriend had the same problem a week later. I wouldn’t mind if I hadn’t paid but I did will never ever use this company again and car park would prefer to park in a different location.

Out for one thing! ££££££

I’ve just paid my fine of £100 after going through an adjudicator IAS and they said they can see my mistake and payment but are bound by the letter of the law to force me to pay. I paid on the day but added my wrong registration with my statements showing £6 charge on two occasions which was my evidence. I asked them to check there account for my payment under my name which they refused and went to adjudication knowing I couldn’t win because of there signs even though they know I paid. For me, it’s dishonest and as they know I paid. On there website to appeal it says entered wrong registration which I appealed with but they didn’t accept. I admitted I put the incorrect registration hold my hands up but I knew I paid, so they knew they could get more money out of me. Companies like these bring society down with dishonest practices promoting multi million gains. Please avoid Sennen beach and any armtacservices parking at all cost.

Vile company and staff

Vile company and staff. Cornwall Tourism should be ashamed of themselves allowing these cowboy parking firms to exist, ripping people off and taking their money. Visited St Ives Stennack Car Park, like we do every year, contributing like many others to the local economy. There were 4 vehicles in our family, having arrived slightly ahead of the others, we entered the busy car park and waited 20 minutes to make sure the other 3 vehicles could get spaces, due to a booked family trip in the harbour. On arrival of the others we all purchased day tickets, not realising they had upgraded the parking to ANPR. Subsequently fined £100 for the 20 minutes waiting for the others, reduced to £60 and appeal not surprisingly rejected. I appealed on the basis we all purchased day tickets and asked for a little compassion and understanding, offered to buy and extra hour and explained I was not trying to deceive or get free parking. The extremely aggressive rude women on the phone when I initially spoke to them, hang up on me, shouting and accusing me of raising my voice!! Had to phone back and explain that it’s actually quite rude to shout over someone when they are trying to have an adult conversation and justify what happened. Absolute crooks and do you know what, I won’t be going back to St Ives again out of principle. The local authority need to get rid of these vermin companies.

Port Issac misery

Edited to say that my email to Visit Cornwall was responded to. They say they are lobbying against these practices. It would be good for others to message them with their experiences. I parked in Port Issac like many of these reviewers. Paid for parking but no ticket was dispensed. Spoke to a number of people in the same position near the parking meter. We all agreed it must be ok as we’d entered our number plates into the machine. Should be fine. Returned to find a parking fine and multiple intrusive photos of my car had been taken. Felt quite freaked out tbh as I was a female alone. Really scared about getting the fine as I can’t afford £100. I’ve just been made redundant. Sat in the car park and made my appeal online. Sent a screen shot of my payment from my bank account. Two weeks later heard nothing so called. Just spoken to the rudest most aggressive woman I think I’ve ever spoken to. I was asking for information and help regarding my reasonable appeal. She was intent on telling me how stupid I’d been to get a fine tell me repeatedly there was nothing she could do to help. I am left shocked and shaken and having read all these reviews can see I won’t have my appeal upheld despite paying. I’m going to pay the £60 cos I can’t risk the £100. I’m going to complain further to Cornwall Council and the Tourist Board. And make sure they’ve seen these reports. It’s clearly a legalised scam. It’s threatening and should be stopped.

Currently parked in a private apartment block, that requires 2 codes to enter, and a remote to access by car. And have been given a ticket to park in the underground carpark in Newquay. Found a pcn on the window of the car, gave them a call and then was advised that infant I have 2 charges for my allocated spot in the private carpark bit nothing proven!! Criminal

Being honest I was like 10 mins give or…

Being honest I was like 10 mins give or take over my time permitted on my parking ticket. I could give a million excuses which would seem plausible having two little ones under 5 and one with disabilities but I knew the time we had to be back and unfortunately we didn’t make it back to the carpark in time. I knew straight away… Gutted but we had a fantastic day in St Ives and you can’t really put a price on that! No issues. Letter received, no point in me contesting it and getting worked up. Easy enough to pay online, job done. I’m out of pocket but they’re a company and it’s what they’re there for. Rules are rules

Don't pay if you want to appeal PCN

Parked in the overspill car park at Port Issac and purchased a ticket from the machine within the main car park. Unfortunately for me I was on an end spot where the hardcore runs up to the grass which has no definitive marking. My left wheels were on the grass mixed hardcore which the attendant appears to deem as parking on the grass!!!! I entered my appeal but got nothing back other than an acknowledment. They obviously were going to wait at least 14 Days so that I would have to pay the larger amount. To avoid this I paid the lesser amount at 14 days rather than waiting for the outcome of the appeal and potentially having to pay the larger amount. Finally I recieved the following from the appeal. 'The appeal has been reviewed. The PCN has beed paid and liability accepted deeming the matter closed. There is no longer the opportunity to appeal.'
What a bunch of crooks. I love Cornwall but this has really annoyed me and just want to warn anyone visiting to be aware of car parking operated by this bunch. They appear to use the slightest reason to slap on a ticket. The appeals process seems completely flawed and the early/lesser amount payment option is basically not going to happen if you dare to appeal. My vehicle was ticketed within minutes of arriving in the car park but to review my appeal takes weeks!!

FRAUDSTERS

FRAUDSTERS!
Parked up and paid. Left well within time. Received a fine in the post.
Appealed it as still had the ticket. Appeal was rejected on the grounds we only entered two letters for our reg! The two letters aren’t even in my reg!!
Spoke to the owner of the land. In this case Porth Campsite. They defended Armtrac so in my opinion have little or no ethics just like Armtrac.
Appealing with the IAS seems to be a waste of time as they are no better than Armtrac from what I have read.
So the only thing to do in my opinion are:
Don’t park in their car parks or give your business to any company who employs them! And if you do have to use their car parks keep tickets and take photos of signs etc. Finally, if you are unfortunate enough to get a fine, do some research before paying it as it seems the best thing to do is ignore it completely!

The worst company I have ever had to…

The worst company I have ever had to deal with. Not helpful and the women who answers the phone is so rude/obnoxious/unhelpful/revolting in her manor. How theses people sleep at night knowing their machines are wrong and they are still issuing tickets is beyond me.
this company is awful and I recommend you record all your phone calls just like I did

What a horrible company to have to work for

Firstly - they don't deserve any stars. Rude, unhelpful and disgusting service. How is this company allowed to do this to people who have paid for tickets. Taking no responsibility whatsoever for their own service or machines. I feel sorry for the people that just pay because they don't know how to deal with it or worry about a greater cost. I shall be escalating to the top: John Gautrey, COO, KBT Cornwall Ltd, Town Centre Security plc, Merrian Centre, Leeds, LS2 8LY
