I've complained a fraud casino to ABNAMRO, they said they cannot do anything. But i'm almost sure they are hand in hand with the fake casino from England, what has no jurisdiction in the Nederland. I'm foreigner, so they will for sure take the refound money for themselves. Everything is a big scam methods with the fake casinos, big fraud and no institution are fighting against

I have been with ABN Amro for more than 20 years. All was good for the first few years, but then they decided in 2016 I should no longer have a personal banker. They didn't even tell me either. He just disappeared! Things really went downhill after that. I no longer felt valued as a customer. Their monthly account charge for customers living outside the EU is outrageous and is five times higher than another EU based bank I have an account with. I'll stick with them for the time being, but only because changing is a pain. If I could turn back the clock, I would not go to ABN Amro.

ABN Amro - the insurance fraudsters. I cannot even begin to describe how unacceptable their handling of claims is.
A 3rd party reported we got into an accident with them half a year ago, which the bank never verified with us. They never collected our information, or if the incident actually happened. They determined, without any input from our side, that the accident was our fault, and that we are losing our deductable and have to pay nearly 900 euro not to lose it.
We within 1 working day contacted the bank insurance branch and contested the claim. Regardless of that, a week has passed and our insurance accident-free record was was removed, and insurance premium massively increased.
The fact the bank paid out a claim without consultation of any kind with us, and told us, our customer, to basically take a hike, is beyond unacceptable. They will lose all our insruance business (house and car) and our accounts.
We cannot be sure some random person form the street won't walk in and empty our accounts claiming with zero proof that they are us. Because this is literally what was done here.

I cancelled my ABN AMRO gold credit card.
For years I was using it and was at that time a gold card would be handy with regard to renting a car. Well, due to an emergency I had to book a flight to Toulouse and I also booked a car. As I was close to card limit (which I understand) the card was first rejected by the car rental… I called ICS help desk and was told I was close to the limit which was why my card was rejected. I was also told if I fill my credit card account I would be able to get the car. So I
added extra money to my account. Unfortunately, I still didn’t get the car as my card kept being rejected… Very frustrating so I had to take an Über to my final destination where I was needed…
Very frustrating and disappointed by card services. The only time I needed the card most I was let down by them. I cancelled my card and subscription…

I was (and still am, but not anymore as soon as I unblock this situation) a long term client of ABN AMRO. I recently moved to Belgium and my phone got stolen. To regain access to my account I need to change my address and this is taking forever.
I haven't had access to my account (and therefore all my money) for 18 days. I repeat, I am in a country that is foreign to me, just started a new job, with my phone stolen, without access to my own bank account, for almost 3 weeks.
The change of address can only be done via ordinary paper mail and despite having received the mail (I used two tracking systems, first I sent the letters from Belgium and also a friend of mine sent it directly from the Netherlands) they are still not processing them.
This is extremely stressful, and nobody is helping. I even offered to come to the Netherlands and show up in person at the ABN AMRO branch, but this apparently would not solve my situation, because the change of address can be done only via paper mail. Absurd, it is 21st century.
Never again ABN AMRO. Really disappointing and incompetent, it did not live up to the standards of Dutch efficiency that I am used to.

Unfortunately I had a very bad experience with ABN Amro. I opened an invoice with them and it said that if you become a new customer you get 100 euros with a code and an overstap service. I did everything as it said and my overstap service was completed and I received an email on April 9th 2025 saying that everything was fine and that I would get the 100 euros directly after the first debit, so that would be on May 10th 2025, nothing happened, now 3 months have passed. I had contact with them via chat and phone. The employees promised in the chat that they would sort it out and that I would get an email but nothing, just empty promises. I have already contacted them 5 times about this matter but nothing. I always pay everything on time and have never been in the red, but ABN Amro is very bad unfortunately. I am looking for a better bank and then I will deregister myself and my whole family from ABN Amro. I advise you not to open an invoice.

Terrible service / they say they Will send my bankpass in 5 workingdays / don’t know what the deflinition is with 5 working days - its now 14 days later and nothing happened! No service at all ! 1 star is too much

My partner and I wanted to open a joint account. We received a link to go further in the procedure and the link did not work. We called the customer service. My partner has been on the phone for 40 minutes and the lady still has not resolved the problem. We kept going in circles about "do you have an ABN account already? Who made the request to open? Oh this is for a new joint account? What is your date of birth?" Etc. Now she said she does not have time to resolve this problem and she asked us to make an appointment in 2 weeks time by Teams. In the website they said 10 minutes done, which is not at all the case for our request. So no thank you, we will not come to your appointment. We are very disappointed with this service and we will go to another bank.

ABN took a full month to respond to my recent insurance claim - asking me questions in piecemeal - before eventually rejecting me for tenuous reasons. Then, when I went to cancel my insurance due to a house move, it wasn’t possible on the app and the convoluted website experience required upwards of 10 clicks to finally get to the right page. And don’t bother calling - they’re only open for 3 hours per day!

Nothing good about their customer service and their banking in general. If you need assistance, they typically won't help you. Their business hours limit physical help if you have a fulltime job. Additionally, they had sent me a bad debit card and then request that I pay for the replacement, despite it being their fault the card sent did not work. The worst bank I have worked with so far.
