Bought what was meant to be a $1 icon…
Bought what was meant to be a $1 icon from Vecticon.co, and later discovered they had been charging my card every month without my consent. Over time, it added up to hundreds of dollars I never agreed to.
When I asked for a refund, they refused. Only after I made it clear that I’d be reporting them to my bank, their payment processor, and consumer protection agencies did they send a partial refund. They still owe me the rest.
I’ve since found many others saying the same thing, small $1 or $2 purchases turning into recurring charges that people didn’t know about.
If this happened to you, don’t waste time arguing.
You can go straight to your bank and dispute the charges as unauthorised, send evidence of the original $1 purchase, and report them to the payment gateway (like Stripe or PayPal) so they can be looked over.
I’m putting together a public guide explaining how to:
Get your money back through your card provider
Report companies like this to payment processors
Escalate to law enforcement if needed
No one should have to fight this hard to undo a charge they never approved.
It’s definitely a scam
It’s definitely a scam, they charge 1€ for one service and then suddenly change from your card
Had no idea they had been taking out…
Had no idea they had been taking out money from me every month since the last 9 months!!! wow unbelievable now taking up with my bank. Pure SCAM
Yep, it's a scam!
As everyone else has explained, this is a scam. They let you think you are paying for one-time use and then charge you an exorbitant amount for ever without ever notifying you. Turns out I've been paying for at least 9 months and am now disputing via my bank. That's at hundreds of dollars/euros/pounds (pounds in my case).
IT IS A SCAM
IT IS A SCAM. DON'T USE. THEY HAD TAKEN £234 OUT OF MY ACCOUNT. PLEASE DO NOT USE.
Scammed after using it once they…
Scammed after using it once they charged me 30 euros a month for 3 months before i noticed it by accident!
Like others
Like others, I've been scammed every month out of $25 after using the platform ONCE. I noticed TODAY there was a $25 debit on my account.
They're SCAMMERS!!
VETICON.CO ARE SCAMMERS - AVOID!!!
This website is a scam - AVOID at all costs. I do not remember using this site for anything!! I am absolutely rubbish at checking my bank account & I have only just noticed a pending payment for £26 for “VETICON.CO” - I never noticed before but I searched my bank and they’ve been taking £26 since last June, so they’ve stolen £260 from me!!! I can’t believe it. I have no idea how this happened… I’m thinking maybe I did pay the £1 as previous reviews suggest to use their editor which they claim is a one off fee, I don’t remember though, I’m really confused. Either way I DEFINITELY did not consent for them to take £26 per month from me!!!! Absolute scammers!!!!! I’ve reported it to my bank and had to get a new card issued… I’m hoping they’ll be able to give me my money back!!!!! Disgusting. Vile people, this company should be shut down & forced to stop trading!!!!!
I have realized this company has been…
I have realized this company has been taking money out my account since January! 29 euro per months! . I ha never ever used this! REFUND ME NOW! IS A SCAM!
They have refund me a month! At least they are much more trustable than others. Thanks.
SCAM Please avoid!
I have discovered this company has been taking money out my account since December. A total of nearly £80 has been taken. I am absolutely disgusted by this. Do not trust or use this company.
I didn't even subscribe to this
I didn't even subscribe to this. I realised after 3 months I'd been charged £26 per month. Absolute joke!
Stay away from this
Stay away from this! Pay $1 and then they keep charging you for $30 after 2 days, for several months. No notification, nothing. You just get charged!
A scam
A scam. I was billed £26 pcm for three months without realising I had signed up. I'm glad I noticed! It's not the easiest thing to unsubscribe from. Their website is virtually invisible in google searches. Go to https: //www. vecticon. co/login and log in (request a code if you don't know your password). Once you are logged in you can cancel your subscription.
Scam!!!
Scam!!!!
I just payed 1 time for 1 dollar now they are taking money without premission from my credit card!!!
Do not enter your card details!!!!
I used this website to edit one photo at a cost of £1ish back in October. Just noticed today they have been taking £26 out my account every month since!! I did not sign up or authorise this, absolute scammers! I checked the email they sent me back in October, and in tiny writing states will charge monthly, but it was nowhere to be seen when using. So this is what they try and use if you query.
My card has now been cancelled by my bank when I queried the charges, says it all - they must be known as a high risk company.
Avoid!!
SCAMMERS: Please DO NOT USE or give them your bank details
I feel sick that these scammers have taken 3 payments out of my account - a total of £76. I regretfully used their service once for a image edit and paid what i thought was a one-off fee. I'm quite savvy and check that i'm not signing up to subscriptions etc and know what to look out for. They still scammed me. PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM OR GIVE THEM YOUR BANK DETAILS. you will regret it like me.
I fell for the same scam as the person…
I fell for the same scam as the person below me. Signed up for the free trial, no email about the trial ending at all, have just found out that I have been paying £26.99 for the last 12 months. Told them that I have mental health problems and that I am dyslexic, and there response was basically, tough shite
The company is a huge scam
The company is a huge scam, you pay for a $1, you might generate one image and forget about it - but they have your credit card and there entire terms of service is worded to "charge you indefinitely without refunds after they bill you once" I ended up cancelling my credit card. Avoid this at all costs.
It's a fraud
It's a fraud. They put you on paid subscription without clear notice. They do not allow refund and decline all requests Please avoid any actions with their product.
Report them to your card issuer
This is a subscription scam.
If you use the trial, you will never hear from them again, but you will quietly be charged £26 pcm.
If you complain, they will say you could have logged in and read their terms and downloaded receipts.
This doesn't comply with EU consumer protection laws, including pre-contract transparency and clear subscription terms which they must follow as a Maltese company.
Dispute the payments with your bank. If only 1% of transactions are disputed they will be flagged by the Visa and Mastercard risk programs.
I'm sure they'll just move on to the next scam but it would at least shut this one down!
