Contacted this company as my property has their system installed. My enquiry was simple, just needed a little help. Not interested in the slightest, just keep saying we only help installers. Explained my installer had went bust and only needed some advice, from the technical support team. Once again stated they WOULD NOT HELP, not that they couldn't help. Now that's a great customer service to be proud of. Got a call from the one person within this company that was willing to help me. After a bit of time and information from him I now have a fully functional system, thank you Noor.

We have a Texecom security system and it is absolute rubbish. The facility to search for vehicles or people just does not work. You have to sit there staring at the screen for hours trying to see if there's been any activity.
Impossible to navigate the system when you try to playback the video footage.
COMPLETE CRUD. D0 NOT BUY THIS SYSTEM.

Reached out to Texecom as a homeowner let down by the company who set this up with a regular contract paid by monthly D/D.
It seems you can only contact Texecom if you're an installer, but not the customer paying a stupid amount of money to have this installed in your own home.
Installers are free hold you to ransom and prevent you from choosing another company by locking you into them alone. Given the cost of these, it's extraordinary that they get away with this with your own property that you paid for.
Texecom won't help and while their website has a list of distributors in your area, there's no mention of the security companies who use Texecom. Result is you have to phone around every company to find one an lo' and behold, I haven't found a single one yet, but I have been told by a few companies that Texecom isn't a popular choice amongst home security installers. I wonder why.
My only option now is to get a company to break into this, remove it and install a different set up from another company. I'm effectively buying a new security system all over again, but I have to say it'll be worth it to see the back of this.
Update 21/08/2025
Have now had Texecom set up removed from my home. Both Texecom and the company who installed this told me another company can reset it in order to take over. I believe Texecom might well believe that to be the case but the company who installed ensured it is entirely locked so as to prevent anyone resetting it. So it's now gone. Won't use them ever again, can't recommend. Why does Texecom allow this?

Apologies to start with re the length of this review but its a must read if your thinking of purchasing anything from Texecom or any equipment from them.
In 2023 through a separate company I had a Texecom alarm fitted. It was an alarm where you can have remote access through the app.
Earlier this month I changed broadband suppliers and the remote access disconnected. As such I contacted the supplier/fitter but found that they had gone bust. As such I contacted Texecom for advice and they sent me a text with approved engineers in my area. I contacted one of them who came out and stated that he could not do anything nor could anyone else without the relevant code which the original fitter had. He advised me to re contact Texecom which I did. Texecom told me to....yes you guessed it contact an engineer in my area and re sent the text message with approved engineers. I told them we had done all this and re explained what the engineer had stated. Their reply...' nothing we can do contact an engineer'.
Customer service and problem solving score 0.
Texecom a good system until you have an issue.

Terrible company, no aftercare, no downloadable manuals no instructions how to replace batteries in control panel. This thing had been beeping continuously for 48 hours with multiple error messages. Nothing online or on youtube etc showing how to replace the batteries without setting the whole alarm off. I'm about to fill up the bath & chuck all the sensors / panel / alarm box in it.

Service is garbage. Needs rebooting remotely regularly. Waste of money.

I think that if you sell products, you shouldnt hide behind the statement 'contact your installation company'
I am not able to contact my installer, simply because they seem to have gone out of business.
I can no longer use my alarm, because it needs an installer id - which i dont have - because the installation company is not trading.
I am a technical person, and well able to configure this alarm, if given the information required.
I would not install another Texecom product, without an assurance of after sales service from the company. It's not good enough.

Really at a loss to understand why there are negative reviews on here
The systems are reliable if installed professionally ( too many diyers out there) and serviced each year so batteries where needed are replaced by decent brands
It’s and expensive system so if you want a trained specialist to help or service you shouldn’t moan at the cost- they are worth every penny
We needed to upgrade our Elite alarm system to the new version of the App (C2) but was unable as log in issue to the new App which was not there fault as I was not doing it correctly!!
A call to them resulted in an absolutely brilliant guy helping us to do this which was a no mean feat as I am an old non techie!!
The only thing I would suggest is that emails to the CEO get monitored and replied to as mine wasn’t
Great support and many thanks to the guy that helped me- he deserves a promotion and pay rise

Awful product. I write this at 2.34am, because I’m currently awake listening to the sound of my alarm blaring at full blast (this is the 3rd separate occasion that this has happened) that cannot be shut off and I can’t get an engineer to come out and fix at this time. Between manufacture faults in the alarm panels wiring, random chirps and chimes, random tamper faults and it being very difficult to use I cannot recommend that you stay as far away as possible from this brand as possible.

Had the system installed, all worked great. Started having problems with random sensors setting off the alarm contacted the engineer who reset them without much issue. However, the random alarms and now the inability to access the app has become so frustrating we are switching t9 a different alarm. To be honest feel we have waste your money, especially paying our installer an annual service fee.

I would advise private householders looking fir a security system to avoid Texecom. Unless you want to pay high call out charge to engineers to fix simple issues. I changed my broadband provider which produced ac system alert Coms 1 fault on my control panel. I worked out what to do but just needed a bit of help and rang Texcom's technical helpline. There is a reiterated message saying the service is only available to professional installers advising one to contact such. I have a Honeywell central heating system who have been extremely helpful, never directing me to the engineer who installed it.Shame on you Texecom. I now have to pay a large sum I cannot afford for a call out in relation to what must be a common problem. They do have a couple of very limited videos on You Tube and elsewhere insufficient info except for the professionally initiated.

On the advice of an experienced installer, I had a complete Texecom alarm system installed two years ago. This was supposed to be a much more professional system than my old DIY alarm system (Woonveilig). The opposite is true. The entire look and feel of all the components and the user experience are straight out of the 80s. It cannot be integrated with any other smart system in your home in any way. The app is so confusing that you can never find out who armed or disarmed the alarm and when, or which sensor triggered it. Automations don’t work. There are frequent error messages, and I often have to contact the installer just to keep the system running. I miss my old system, which cost a third of the price.

Have used Texecom for years - most of our systems use smartcom which customers love the app and we love remote diagnostics

We use Texecom alarms in our house in the Uk (London). Our experience with it over the last 2 years has been that it’s a terrible product - we are new home owners and were relatively clueless about house alarms so went with Texecom cause our neighbours use it too, and because it was advertised as being ‘pet friendly’
Our experience has been that the system is extremely buggy. Constant problems (false alarms, panel not working, alarm not working, connection not working, sensors not working etc). The sensors need to be ‘serviced’ annually which means someone needs to come round to replace the £5 batteries for £300 every year. You also have zero autonomy to do anything with the system yourself. Any issue you have to go through the provider which causes huge delays.
A one star product and definitely a regret of ours that we did not research house alarms more carefully before getting this installed in the house.

We’ve been installing Texecom products for many years and have always found their products to be exceptional. We have great support and updates from the absolute legend Dan Hewitt whenever we require it and he’s always checking to see how our team are doing and if there’s anything at all that we may require. I have installed Texecom for 20 years and yes there have been issues in the past but they was very quick to resolve the issue and alot of these was down to 3rd party companies. Apart from being easy to use there keypads are the best looking around compared to others and all our clients are very happy with the installation. I can always rely on Mark to for advise and guidance for product knowledge. Keep up the good work.

We have been installing texecom for 5 years as a business and i personally have for 10 years.
There is no question that texecom has the most aesthetically pleasing products available on the market which for us is the most important as although it is a security system, you will have a device in most rooms of your house/business, so it is imperative that it looks great.
Also, they are easy to deal with, especially our account manager Dan.
It is the only alarm brand we use and it is great to support a British company.

To be honest the alarm product I was sold 3 years ago has never worked. Every 4 or 5 months one of the sensors fails and the company clearly haven't any idea why. So now I would like my money back.
So now I've had the most useless reply "sympathising" with me. The fact is for 3 years YOUR product has failed. Sort it out with Moore Secure and give me my money back. If not I am going to the small claims court
