After our gas boiler broke down irreparably, we looked into heat pump hot water systems but with so many installers and brands and the various government rebates to chase, it’s very difficult to know... See more

A lot of good information to make the decision on solar and battery systems easier
SolarQuotes really helped me feel confident in choosing a reputable solar and battery installer. The resources on their website also helped me understand the process and what I need.
Fast response time from the contractors courteous and very obliging with meeting times, they were all knowledgeable and explained the pros and cons of options available , two stood out as more professional in their delivery of the best options we should consider. At the end of the day there was little between them.
Quick contact and professional installers approached me. Made the process very easy.
I received contact from 3 installers the next business day. Two of the three were relentless in their calls, over 5 per day EACH, from different numbers and the voicemails left were from different sales staff. This occurred over 4+ days, and working full time, it was not possible to take the calls at specific times but when they ring two, three times in a row from random and different numbers, it felt like SPAM calls. If I had not consented to my information being shared, I would have submitted a Telemarketing Compliance complaint via the ACMA.
This was too much.
Then, being told from one of the calls, that “good news and I am happy to say that your area has been selected for a free battery check,” dodgy sales speech that put me off any of your “preferred" suppliers totally.
They sounded like a scam call centre, reading from a script or even an AI Chat bot. None had none of my information that I had pre-filled on the website and I can only describe their sales method as bullish and after I said I am no longer interested, I immediately had 3 calls from their landline number pool and then a mobile phone within 5 minutes. Only after I repeated to another person (again, multiple sales people, no consistency) that their sales pitch made me uninterested in even talking with them and not to call, they stopped.
I sent Solarquotes an email with this information, to only be asked a few days later to leave a review, so if I could, it would be 0-stars.

Thanks Finn & SolarQuotes; you've put us in touch with an excellent installer who has quoted promptly and is all set to do the IStore heat pump installation.

One company's quote was nearly half of the other quotes. The salesman was trying very hard to convince me to cancel the quote I had already accepted
Experience was straight forward, easy to communicate with, and suggested providers were very professional.

To date we are in the completed sales part of the quotation which was provided from QLD regarding our VIC property. They only have one installer in Victoria and are now awaiting an install date. Nothing more to measure as yet.

SolarQuotes have a lot of useful information on their site, but I found their rating system for "top performers" to be a little misleading. II found it better better to look past this and read the details of the reviews, particularly those with a less than perfect score.
I do wonder how they choose 3 companies to quote given the hundreds of installers listed?

All very professional and were able to understand our situation and needs

I found SolarQuotes informative and gave me a good overall view of solar and battery information. I had a better understanding of working out what we wanted and needed and questions to ask. I used the brand charts as a guide and researched each suggested brand from each solar company who gave us quotes. It has been a positive experience and one that I am already recommending to friends to explore.
