Received several quotes from your referals:
Battery installers generaly have been very good and provided a range of options. I live in a marine enviroment opposite bay in Melb. Not all installers clearly confirmed Warrenty limitations. I read thru all brands to find all but Tesla have a 1 klm exclusion zone Sigenergy stated OK if garaged but I wouldnt wont to test the Warrenty out on that basis, i'm only 100m off beach. On extreme weather days salt in the air will blow into garage, I couldnt risk it. Hence left with Tesla I will proceed with "Urban Renewables" but cost is higher.
Heat pumps less info in quotes generally HP offered were often on your overview list. What i did querry was the scarfacial anaode life and change over. (remeber old Vulcan HW tanks always failed year after warrenty) No one offered to advise me that they will require checking every 5 years and possible replacement by plumber. Except for the Aquatec which has a DC charge to prevent mag anode scarficing itself, still needs checking. Solar Quotes should be adding this to your check list for customers to be aware as its an ongoing maintenance item. Havent locked in on HP as yet but will soon.

Hi Marc,

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback!
We’re glad to hear that the battery installers we recommended offered a good range of options and that Urban Renewables stood out as a solid choice especially with the unique considerations of a coastal environment like yours. You're absolutely right: marine exposure is an important consideration and Tesla's flexibility in that area does make them a strong option.
Regarding the sacrificial anodes in heat pump hot water systems. We agree this is an important piece of information and your suggestion to include it in our customer checklists is a great one. In saying that we mention the Sacificial Anode in our Heat Pump Guide here: Heat Pumps Overview.
Thanks again for your thoughtful review!
