I have a family of 5, so really appreciate the low deposit offers.
The fact that everything can be done online, means you can book a cruise when it's convenient.
I booked a cruise for my family of 5 for August 2027 for just £5. I have 6 other cruises booked. So don't really want to pay for this until 2027. I also secured a rather rare family of 5 cabin, 2 years in advance.
Many websites don't allow you to book for more than 4 people. However, Seascanner allow you to put 5 people and then show what is available, from inside to suite.
The search facility is very simple and comprehensive. I even use it if I'm booking with a different travel agent.
Choose your cruise dates and length of cruise. It's that simple. Then you can filter out the parts of the world you're not interested in.
There are a couple of things needing some work.
If you are a Silver or above member of the msc voyager club. You automatically Qualify For a 5% + 5% discount on any cruise booked over 12 months in advance.
However, the Seascanner system is unable to recognise this.
It takes your membership number, which brings up your details. Even your membership level. But does not calculate your discount correctly, despite having all the information to do so.
Therefore after issuing you with an incorrect receipt and invoice, you have to apply for it to be corrected.
I'm not sure what happens to customers who either don't do the math or don't know their entitlements.
A new invoice/receipt is then sent a few days later.
It also appears that the Seascanner staff are not aware of this either. Despite me being a Diamond member, staff seemed to think they can give me information as if I'm a newbee.
‘The onboard credit bonus for Voyager members usually gets applied closer to departure however I have asked MSC to confirm that this is correct, again I will update you once I have a reply.’
Is what I was told.
In fact it is usually applied immediately or couple of days after booking. It's already applied to all my other bookings.
Also, the website chooses the drinks package for you. It maybe possible to choose a cheaper or non alcoholic drinks package for the all inclusive.

I had an issue trying to book a cruise through Seascanner which I couldn't resolve so contacted their customer support (Mitch). He was able to fully explain and resolve the issue immediately. Following successfully booking the cruise I had a couple of requests to make and went back to the same agent-Mitch. He again dealt with my enquiry quickly, politely and efficiently. I'm most impressed with the service afforded by Mitch and because of how I was dealt with today will happily return to seascanner to research and book future cruises. Thank you Mitch.

We’ve used Seascanner a few times now for various cruise with different liners. We originally had one booked with MSC for April 2027 that was booked about 6 months ago.
Due to some personal issues those dates were not really suitable for us anymore and looked at changing for one later in the year 2027. We realised that our eldest would be starting university and so after speaking to him we spoke to Seascanner about cancelling his place and moving the rest of our party to the new date.
Erin went above and beyond for us. Working out the best and cheapest way for us to do all the amendments. With the new date being 90 days after the original it meant MSC wouldn’t let us do a date move free of charge.
She kept us updated as she worked with MSC cancellations team aswell as keeping an eye on the current prices to make sure the price didn’t go up too much.
It was a couple of weeks before MSC authorised it all but Erin was amazing during the whole procedure, including emailing and ringing us after the office closure hours.

Very easy to book
Very easy to book, except when picking a cabin.
Cabin selection difficult as you have to pick a class then see what cabins in that class are avaliable on what decks. It would be easier if you could see all available cabins on a deck along with the price for those cabins.

Fantastic service

Exceeded expectation
I had concerns about this company as I’d not used them before and some reviews are mixed so wasn’t sure. So far Seascanner have been excellent with information about our forthcoming cruise with Cunard. Details of flights, transfers including cruise details on Cunard personaliser arrived day after 48hrs after booking. September for November cruise this year and responses to emails have been addressed within 24hrs. So would definitely consider using without hesitation in future on current experience
