I found Alex Bush of the Storrington branch to be most helpful and genuine. I think he was as excited about my fresh start as I was! On the same day he discussed the applications with the landlord, I... See more

We had set back when our buyers pulled out through illness but we got there in the end well done.

I used the Selsey branch and living in Cheshire everything I did was from there so with the wonderful help from Kevin and his team there it made what could have been a difficult process into a smooth property sale. As I was a trustee of the property and knew very little about it the staff helped so much with the looking after of the property until the eventual sale. I cannot recommend them enough. thank you

Henry Adams have managed our property for 5 years. They are excellent in sorting out maintenance problems immediately and sending regular full detailed inspection photos and reports of our property . Alex Bush has been excellent in advising us and finding a new tenant. He gets back to emails immediately and we have really appreciated his advice and guidance.

Really disappointing experience with Henry Adam trying to sell our property. On three occasions, we've not heard back, despite direct emails and follow up emails. Told it due to a system error. Needless to say we wouldn't recommend this agent for a consistent communication, which is critical if selling your property.

The most awful experience and on par with my experience at Cubitt and west. Henry Adams Horsham dealt with the sale of my flat. Complicated as was a lease hold. Their communication was shocking, Will Papworth sold the property very quickly, but it rapidly went downhill after that. Promised phonecalls back which never happened, constant chasing, buyer using an awful solicitor which after multiple months Henry Adams admitted they had realised this was the case. Property completed 16tj a June and still to this day, no one in the Horsham branch has made contact with
Me. I got sent a bill 2 minutes after it exchanged, the bill arrived in my inbox before Ali called me to tell me it had exchanged. I requested to talk to Nick Hapgood when I was concerned, he never bothered to answer my emails or call me back.

DO NOT GO NEAR this firm. (Horsham estate agents) They are fraudsters. They forced a quick sale for my parents in October, and encouraged them to use Talbot Law solicitors and it was all illegal. The property brochure advertised a finished and luxury ‘smart’ barn. There was no mains water to this luxury complex, the sewage was blocked and still no legal drainage, there was no outdoor lights, no internet connection, no outdoor water and a horrendously big list of issues inside the property. There is still no mains water and a temporary tank was set up, now after months of using it to be told it’s not safe to drink. This was all bad enough and they knew about these endless problems but knowingly sold next door with all the same and more issues without telling the new owners. The property owner has gone AWOL and there’s a £35k bill to have mains water connected. HENRY ADAMS and specifically Gemma in the Horsham estate agents knew this.
The original glossy brochure Henry Adams had produced stated a finished luxury Barn. I’ve gone to the trouble of rewording what should be in their brochure …
**Revised Property Description:**
This Grade II listed barn retains its historic charm and architectural significance, offering a unique opportunity for restoration or bespoke development. While the conversion showcases elements of traditional craftsmanship, prospective buyers should be aware that the property currently lacks essential modern infrastructure. There is no mains water supply, no internet connectivity, and no viable access for telecom providers. The site also has no outdoor water taps, no functioning drainage system, and suffers from blocked sewage. Guttering is faulty, and further issues may be present. Buyers are advised to conduct thorough due diligence to assess the scope of remedial work required. As incompetent estate agents we have no idea what we’re selling and quite frankly couldn’t care less as long as we’ve got your money. We like to think our selling service is like booking a five star luxury spa retreat and ending up in paddling pool on the M1 hard shoulder.
Being a more mature person I am not technically minded so the thought of having to complete forms online was completely daunting for me but with the help of Jessica I found renting a property through Henry Adams so easy, Jessica helped me through every step from viewing, filling out forms on the internet and just being there to support me and answer all my questions. I am now looking forward to moving into my new home.
Thank you Jessica

After 12 months as a tenant with Henry Adams I have to saddly change my review to one star. I will never come back as a client. Henry Adams will do everything they need to take money from your desposit. They will ignore your arguments and strictly follow their procedures. They will create fake problems like broken oven handle when the oven has not been used for 12 months. After I sent them check in and check out photos they just cleared that point from their summary without any word that they were wrong. Henry Adams and their property managers do not care about your needs. They just want your money. I replaced dirty, limescaled and old shower handle and they wanted me to pay for another one on check out! When I sent them check in / out photos they just cleared that point from the list again! No single word, no understanding, no sorry. I understand that they are just a link between The Landlord and the tenant but they forgot I was also their client and I should be treated with respect and I could not feel comfortable and satisfied when they try their best to take my money from deposit and after my explanations and propably when they realised that I am not an idiot they cur their list to minimum taking £170 for proffessional cleaning. After dealing with them I was so upset that I gave up however in my opinion the property has been cleaned and if anybody wanted to take close zoom in photos of light switch with dust on top everybody could do that. I was very dissapointed how the problems were resolved by Matthew - property manager during the tenancy. Problems with washing machine, paint coming out from the wall etc. No care just strict and simply information. I was waiting 2 months for the problem with paint was resolved. I even do not want to mention that on check in they did not come to the property with me and they did not give me one key so I ended up standing outside and waiting for them to bring the key. There was no information given about the code to open thw bin area so I had to send email. There was no parking permit given so I had to come back to their office. Henry Adams Chichester - never again.

We’re tenants, Henry Adams acted swift and promptly to get us moved in and settled as quick as possible.
Moving is never gonna be an easy experience but they sure made it a lot easier than I thought it would be.

Horrible letting agent company (Horsham),
1) They dispute tenants' deposits without any evidence. 31% or 752GBP deposits are disputed by showing just a few invoices of cleaning, some even without date and address, and no photos as evidence to show why cleaning is necessary.
2) The dispute of deposits is not based on comparing the check-in and check-out reports. They assume the tenant's responsibility to return the house in brand-new condition, which totally doesn't make sense.
3) Wrong mathematics for returning the overpaid, we, as the tenant, emailed to request the breakdown, but have received no response.

I have recently used henry Adams for a purchase through Horsham branch. My agent was William Papworth who was excellent, always very helpful and accommodating. I also dealty with other mebers of staff in the Horsham branch who were just as helpful. I would definately recommend this estate agent. I can't thank them enough

Really disappointing interaction with Henry Adams when we were looking for a holiday rental for 2 weeks in July 2025. We consciously wanted to try alternatives to AirBnB, so contacted Henry Adams. Despite many properties 'appearing' to be available, in reality they were not. Combine this with some slow responsiveness from Henry Adams and it took us 3 weeks for Henry Adams to tell us they couldn't help us. Went back and booked with AirBnB
We wanted to sell our house with Henry Adams Horsham. They promised us heaven on earth and delivered nothing.
Most noticeable for me was their very bad communication they would never ring us back same day and we had to chase them for information. A very disappointing experience with a totally unorganised estate agents.

I found the staff straight forward and honest.
I didn't feel pressured and I built a genuine rapport with the agents.

WARNING!! Do NOT use this company!!
This letting agency is incompetent in every way possible; from being unwilling and unable to properly care and maintain not only your property but other neighboring properties such as: causing and not fixing potentially dangerous issues like water and/or fire damage from leaky structures causing warped doors that can't open or shut properly for which when properly reported they take absolutely zero responsibility for, even though you are paying THOUSANDS of pounds in property maintenance fees; leaving you still with the financial stress and burden of fixing the problems yourself and then having to take legal actions against them later.

Oliver showed us five properties and a second viewing a week later. We found him professional, personable and engaged rather than pushy. The materials for all of the properties we viewed were visual and accurate.
A good experience that we weren’t looking forward to.
STORRINGTON BRANCH:
The process I’ve have with the Storrington branch has been nothing short of fantastic. Even though they are a small team, they have been so helpful with anything and everything. Particularly Alex who made our move really calm and easy.
Henry Adams (Chichester Branch) let out my house for me. They are always responsive and helpful. Best letting agent I have used.
Renting a farm cottage through the Storrington branch of Henry Adams and just wanted to say thank you to Alex, James, Stacey and team for their professionalism and support during this entire process, which, from start to moving in, only took 4 weeks.
They’ve allowed me to feel totally at ease embarking upon this adventure and have gone out of their way to allow viewings as well as to answer questions, which have all allowed an informed decision to be made.
I moved in three weeks ago and love it.
Highly recommended.
