Can someone at Coconut try this app on an android device, like others have said this has gone on for well over a year, and I have complained several times, if someone took the time and effort to call me we might be able to rectify this. A lot of us are paying for a service that can be properly used. It really pi**es me off that they can't sort this. I really hope that some of us get a refund for the months that we havent been able to use this app correctly.

Absolutely terrible. I have an Android phone and as someone else said, when you try and scroll down the list of transactions to maybe add a receipt or just check through them, it keeps jumping back to the beginning until you are screaming with frustration. I have reported this issue for over a year, and it just keeps getting worse. They keep saying the same thing, and today it was ..we have just discovered what is going wrong in the android app. Well this is over a year and they keep saying they will fix it. As it is it is unusable and I have wasted days trying to get somewhere.
Maybe it's just Android but that's a lot of people and I have an expensive phone.
I have totally had enough.

I’ve played around with lots of different accountancy software and none of them match the ease and simplicity of Coconut. I’m a freelancer and find it hard to keep track of several different accounts. I love how you can connect all accounts - even personal ones - and assign transactions quickly.
It even tells you how much you need to put aside for HMRC, as well as create invoices.

Everything is easy. from tracking expenses, categorising them, sending invoices, tracking tax.

On gov.uk website this is advertised as free. However it is a free trial only 30 days, or 2 yrs but you have to have a certain bank account. (No thanks). Very misleading, it should say free trial only, so you dont waste your time.
The response to email was quick.
Also chase bank does not list on their list of banks.
Considering all self employed must use an approved software in the next few years, they could get a lot more with a low price and volume sales.
I will now wait till nearer the time for the best value from the approved list, I stead of starting now. £99 for a year is a lot, when it is being forced on us by the UK government.

GetCoconut actually delivers what they say. I have tried other big name accounts package but even though they say they are designed for sole traders, they don't work out the tax correctly for sole traders who have a separate main income (eg pension). Coconut combined with GoSimple Tax actually copes with it really well.
The package is easy to understand and like all the other big names lets you store your receipts with the transactions.
The stand out part about Get-coconut for me is the support that you get. They have the frequent questions and articles like the others, but if that doesn't help, you can email them, and unlike others they do get back to you. More importantly, they keep at it until they can sort it out.
Added to that it costs a lot less than the big name packages.

It is an easy app to use !
And customers service very helpful

The app doesn’t remember repeated income or regular bills. It’s very time consuming every month changing transactions from personal to business.

The platform is really straightforward to use & it’s helpful in providing a guide on what’s needed for tax purposes as you move through the year.

Excellent app for self employed individuals

As a sole trader, I was recommended Coconut by a friend who is a tax accountant - a pretty good start! I'm enormously impressed. During my month's free trial I spent a bit of time getting to know the app, by the end of which I'd worked through 10 months of financial data, connected transactions to the dozens of receipts I'd saved digitally and identified a handful of business-related payments from my personal account. This has already saved me many hours of work (and stress) at the end of the tax year. Now I just add receipts as I go along, meaning the whole process of preparing information for my tax return is going to be so much easier! I did have a few questions and have been impressed by the prompt, friendly - and above all human - responses from the customer service team. I will be recommending Coconut to all the sole traders I know.
