Filled out necessary info and had Tania follow up with the way things were to proceed.
In short the entire process and transaction was as Tania described.
4 offers were received within a few days with the 4th being the final which I accepted.
Payment followed within 2 days with Tania following up to confirm receipt of payment.
Diamond Lighthouse acted in a most professional manner and I will use them again if and when the opportunity arises.

Selling a diamond is a little bit of a bummer because the retail price of diamonds is so inflated that reselling them is depressing as a consumer. It's hard to see the diamond industries clever supply and demand tactics reflected in your own wallet.

Overlooking that single aspect, doing business with Diamond Lighthouse was a breeze! The process was very simple and straightforward. The only hiccup I encountered was I never received the video of my diamond being appraised, which would have been comforting to watch.

I received 5 or so offers and took the last one. I suspect the offers aren't really from other agencies, but merely a negotiation tactic to get you excited to sell your diamond. Nevertheless, the less than 25% of what I paid retail for the ring didn't shock me and I accepted the offer. Additionally, I was told that a melting fee was "waived" when it was later revealed that the buyer was simply going to purchase the ring as is and not just the diamond. I thought that was a bit dishonest, but I suppose that's to be expected as well.

Moral of the story: selling a diamond sucks, but doing it through Diamond Lighthouse is a pretty easy process. Good luck!

I traveled to NYC because I was very skeptical to send my wedding ring and wedding band by mail to a company that I had found online. I figured that by going in person I could make a better call to see if I could truly trust them with my valuables. They explained the process to me thoroughly and not only did I feel assured that my diamond was in safe hands- I left confident that they would get me the most money for my ring. Within a couple of days I had a great offer which surpassed my expectations! If I were to do it again though, I would save the money on the trip and have mailed it directly to them. The staff is not only extremely friendly but they know how to do their job well. I couldn't have had a more positive experience with Diamond Lighthouse from start to finish.

I'm not going to lie, the fact that I had to blindly trust a company and ship my diamond to them, was very frightening. Melissa reassured me every step of the way. I was relieved when it was delivered. The process of evaluating my diamond, was just as indicated on their website. They really do take all the steps necessary, to put your mind at ease and to assure that there is no shady practices taking place.
In the end, I didn't sell my diamond and the return process was just as efficient as the beginning process.
I would, without a doubt, use Diamond Lighthouse again and would highly recommend them to anyone with the need to sell their jewelry.
