Can’t get any response to phone calls emails or letters to arrange to get the work done
Their registered company address has changed several times. Now in Haverford West in Wales

Cawoods installed my solar panels 12 years ago, so when we wanted to install storage batteries we we t back to them. The batteries were i stalled in August with the pro.ise that if we had any questions or problems with the system they would always be there for us. The system is working fine but we've had a couple of queries and tried to telephone and email the company over the last 4 weeks and had no response. Out of office reply to email and leave message on answerphone. Looking at Company House data it appears there has been corporate activity with directors and registered office changing at beginning of September. I suspect that they may have stopped trading. Be very aware.

Paid £90 in advance for an engineer to inspect and hopefully repair a faulty EV charger. A date and time was agreed and confirmed in an email however nobody showed up. Their phone goes immediately to answer phone and despite leaving countless messages I still have had no response.
Cawoods - Avoid
Cawoods were contracted to supply and fit an EV charger. I paid the initial payment of £520 to secure an installation date. The day (8 September)came and went and despite trying to contact them they have not been answering their phones. Today, I drove to the address provided on their website and was told by the receptionist in the building (serviced offices) that Cawoods have not been a tenant since pre-COVID. I was given another address of Unit 5 Spitfire Park, but there was no sign of them there either. Avoid this company or risk losing your hard earned money.
Didn't provide report after inspection
I requested an EICR report, paid up front as required and made an appointment over the phone. I confirmed this back to them on an e mail.
The time came for the electrician to call - no one arrived. I rang the office who told me that they had no record of the Monday appointment. This was the second time this had happened to me. The office staff hadn't recorded the appointment. Made a second appointment several days later, Friday. Still no show and I made it VERY clear that I wasn't happy. The Inspection was arranged for Sunday morning and this happened. The electrician was very pleasant and professional as are all Cawoods electricians. His inspection was completed using a hand held computer. He told me that he had to download it and fully complete it. This would take about a week as he was going on a course that week. This was fine with me.
When I came back from holiday on the 25th July there was no report and no contact from Cawoods.
Rang the office who told me that they were not able to give me my report as there was a problem with ' the 'portal'. Nothing else. Nothing has changed. I have paid for a report that I don't have. I have asked for my money back. No reply. When I asked for written confirmation of the problem I was told that they had already told me everything there was to tell. Nothing arrived.
I need this report for the local Building Inspector and I have wasted both time and money.
Cawoods have taken my money whilst not providing the service I paid for.

Nice to have a real person on the phone. The lass in the office was fantastic with all the information I needed. I booked in for the work I required and I was given next day availability. Great.

I am so thankful for the lovely electrician that fitted my light back on the ceiling after a power issue, snipped the cables that were sticking out of the ceiling, did a great professional job (since my landlord wouldn't)! Thank you so much. I got my appointment on the same day within a few hours, he called me and arrived on time, very friendly, kind and professional. Would definitely call Cawoods again if I had another electrical issue :)

Good reliable service! Couldn’t fault them at all worked fast came when told me they were coming. Did an amazing job and it looks fantastic would definitely recommend and use again
Unreliable and don't turn up when they say
Unreliable and don't turn up when they say. They don't turn up when they say they will, then when they do, it's for a couple of hours and then they vanish. The two day job was delayed for a month.
Ironically they invoiced and chased for payment the next day!
Terrible customer service
No communication. They told me last week they'd fit our new panel yesterday, so we made family arrangements to accommodate. They neither turned up or called. I called, asked for an update / update call, and received nothing. I then called again, as has my wife this morning. Still in the dark.
We've paid £460 upfront, four weeks ago, and nothing.
I was also told I'll not get a discount because it's not their fault, it's their supplier.

Failure of extractor fan
I had a 4" bathroom extractor fan installed in Sept '23. It began to run noisy so it was often turned off. In Feb '25 it failed. It looks as though Cawoods has been buying cheap, tacky fans. Now they have quoted £163 for a replacement and had the cheek to demand half that cost before even providing an date for the work. Disappointing - they used to be good.
Not a proper electrical contractor
Terrible company. Take monies upfront and extra fees part way through. Started 1st fix but wont return ro complwte the 2nd fix and now cant get any response to get the job completed. AVOID!
Very professional company
Very professional company. Helpful, polite and good value. They called back when they said they would, and engineers kept us informed of when he was arriving. Would recommend
Fantastic job done by CAWoods
Fantastic job done by CAWoods, big shout out to the installers as they were very professional. My install was not standard as there was a long run required for the cabling from the main electric box to where I wanted the charger. This meant them having to run the cable up my wall into the loft space and then around the loft to the opposite side of the house. Very neat and tidy job, can't wait to get my first EV

A fault with our Zappi EV charger this morning. Rang Caywoods and they were out and problem solved before lunch same day. Everyone was also so nice. Can't expect better service than that.
