Terrible Materials sell, and poor customer service

I buy a a poket door fd30 around 480£ the frame come crack- so they said need contacting the provider of the frame, and maybe can have replace, i said i cannot replace and I can fix by my self because im joinery. After this response no one come back to me for guve me deal or part refund. Never again this shop.

When ordering details of what is and isn’t supplied is buried in the description why not put in red next to the picture eg hinge only no back plate
Only to have delivered and not supplied held while job up

Thank you for your feedback David. We sell hinges without the mounting plates as there are many different types and sizes of mounting plates available for each hinge which would suit different installation scenarios. There is no mention anywhere on the product page that the hinge is supplied with a plate, also the product photo shows the hinge only - without the plate. On top of that, part of product description says that hinge comes without a plate, which needs to be ordered separately and they are all listed at the bottom in related products. I wouldn't say the information is 'buried' as it wouldn't benefit us in any way or form to 'burry' information about products we sell. Unfortunately we can't add any writing info on the picture as this is not accepted by search engines and the picture itself doesn't show the plate so we can't really see a reason for doing so. It's always strongly recommended to read product descriptions and look at the pictures when buying something online to avoid disappointment and make sure that the product you purchase is exactly what you require. We try to put as many information as possible on the product page to make sure it's there for customers to read to they can make formal choices.

Fantastically Helpful Tech Experts

I needed to replace a broken hinge on my kitchen unit and had some difficulty identifying the correct parts.

Nobby and Lukas at Buller Ltd were incredibly helpful through email and online chat, patiently explaining to me about the different parts, and how to identify the correct versions of the parts that I needed.

The website allows you to order…

The website allows you to order material and pay for it even though it’s not in stock. Then they tell you some days later there is insufficient stock to fulfil your order. The company does not operate a stock management system linked to their own website. In this day and age, really? If i had known this at the time i would have gone elsewhere, if you don’t want to be disappointed you know what to do.

I'm sorry about the inconvenience that happened with the purchase you made via our website. Firstly I would like to say that we had a stock of the item you purchased just not the full amount which my colleague has explained via email. You made the order on Monday after our working hours so we've made you aware that we have insufficient stock on Tuesday as soon as one of my colleagues came into work around 7am. We let our customers know as soon as possible if there's an issue with the order. We do have an operating stock system Unfortunately it doesn't take into consideration that if you purchase 4 x of one product and there are only 2 in stock it will not tell you that the product is out of stock. We are working on a new system that should be more specific. We do recommend calling in to find out if something is in stock and if it's needed urgently.

Excellent service

Very polite, helpful and efficient staff. Promptly answered the telephone and dealt with my query very quickly. Also, the standard of service was over and above my expectations. Purchase order placed and looking forward to the delivery.

Being able to speak to a person when answers are not available online is such a valuable (and much appreciated) service. I will definitely retain this company for any future needs and have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

I ordered 10 Blum Tandem Plus Blumotion…

I ordered 10 Blum Tandem Plus Blumotion with Couplings, 550H, of the rails I ordered three came without the piston used for the soft close, they weren't in the box. However the box was marked as damaged by Fedex so it looks like the pistons had been lost in transit. I raised with Buller the next day with pictures, they assured me it didn't leave the site that way, without delay they sent two pairs of rails to resolve the problem. I have more rails to buy as I am fitting three wardrobes with pull out shoe shelves. I will use Buller again. Thanks to Mila for helping throughout and providing excellent customer service.

AVOID dodgy company with dodgy products

Awful customer service with products that are not fit for the purposes advertised.

I purchased a sliding door mechanism less than a year ago, it has failed twice and cost me a lot. First time the fittings provided failed. To save the door my specialist installer had to flip the door and use other fitting but it failed again. In contacting their customer services to point out that all instructions had been followed and used as advertised their approach was to to willfully obtuse. They blamed the replacement fittings, ignoring the fact that the ones provided had already failed, then said it should have been installed differently because it was MDF, even though their website clearly says it is for MDF doors and no instructions were provided for different installation for different materials. Buller simply play dumb and contradict themselves to avoid accountability.

Completely dodgy. Total disregard or consumer rights laws. AVOID this company.

I’d like to start to refer to your first point stating that the mechanism has failed twice – unfortunately that’s not exactly true, the mechanism still works and is fully intact the issue Is that the door has come out of the screws on the brackets.
Referring to your second point “first time the fitting provided failed” after requesting information whether this was ever reported to us, the question was ignored twice meaning that we didn’t even have a chance to help you identify the issue and solve it before getting the fitter in for the second time.
We have never ignored the fact that the previous fittings failed, we asked if it was reported so that we could go back to the email/live chat to find out why it has happened. With this kit being tested with 16mm MDF we found it quite unnatural for it not to work.
We do not intend to get out of responsibility when the issue actually is caused by us and we try and help our customers. From the first email you’ve sent us you wanted to return the item and we simply said that we will not accept a return for a fitted item.
As we have mentioned via email we are not disregarding consumer rights, as your item wasn’t faulty there was nothing for us to replace. The fittings used by the fitter were incorrect and if reported originally when the first issue happened showing the fittings we provided we would have been happy to fully replace or accept a return for the item.

Great service and product, quick delivery

I ordered some wardrobe rails at a good price, which were already really hard to find. Service over the phone was really helpful, then quickly helped me with something I forgot on my order and items were delivered quickly too.

Excellent customer service

Ordered some items and one piece had a part missing. Emailed buller and had a response almost immediately and had an offer for the part to he dropped off as I needed urgently. I wasn't able to have it dropped off so they sent it and received it the next morning in time for a job

Great customer service

I ordered a pullout larder several years ago, which is sturdy and of great quality. I needed some spare parts (because I noticed a small mistake I had made during assembly) and to my pleasant surprise it was very easy to get those parts from Buller. Great customer service 👍.

Appalling 'service'

Appalling 'service'. The drop down box on their order page pulled my address through incorrectly despite me putting the correct postcode in. Buller's courier left the item unattended on the doorstep at this address and forged a delivery signature. Despite supplying a delivery photo that clearly shows the item has been left unattended Oskar at Buller has point blank refused to offer any help or support whatsoever. There are lots of places you can order these items from - please avoid Buller because if something goes wrong their terrible staff simply do not care and that's not the mark of a good business.

*Update* Oskar has replied, which is more than he's bothered to do to me. I've clearly noted that the address was a mistake. However, you have not fulfilled the order because it was left unattended by your courier.

You state: "when the item is dispatched, you also receive an email that states the address, and finally you would receive information from the couriers themselves with where they are sending the parcel". None of these things happened.

You state: "We sent you a POD photo of the parcel by a front door". A parcel left unattended on a street in London - that's not a correct delivery process is it. I wonder what might possibly go wrong there Oskar?

Had the delivery process been followed this address issue would have been caught and the item could have been returned. Instead the item has been left unattended at the wrong address and you can't even be bothered to try to help.

Thank you for your comments. Please note that we don’t have control over the delivery addresses customers enter when placing an online order, nor do we have means of checking if the address the customer provides is the correct one.
I’m afraid there isn’t much we can do if the parcel is already delivered to the incorrect address provided by the customer in online checkout, as we have no means of contacting anyone at that address to arrange a collection or re-delivery.
Referring to your comments – yes, the order has been fulfilled and delivered– it was delivered to the address provided. There is no evidence that the parcel was left unattended – most of the photos look similar when drivers leave the parcel on the doorstep, ring the bell, step back, take the photo and wait for someone to answer the door.
All email notifications have been sent to the email address provided – they are being sent automatically as a part of the despatch process so it is impossible to be missed – the only reason for not receiving them is providing an incorrect email address or for the messages to be filtered to junk mail.
Reassuming – the order fulfilment process and delivery were flawless and none of this would have happened if we were provided with the correct delivery address. Please be assured that we always go the extra mile to help our customers. We also always take responsibility for our actions or mistakes – but we expect the same from our customers.
I can’t see anything we could have done differently handling this case –there is nothing else we could do if a customer can’t admit to his own error blaming everyone around.
