Very stressful to deal with BG
First of all , I can not believe all the good reviews on here are all genuine! I suspect they were writen by the staff not the customers mostly ! I ve been a british gas customer for years and all has been good until a year ago . I have had so many misunderstandings with them over bills , direct debit etc . I have not been able to solve an issue in one phone call , I' ve had to make a few and still hit a break wall! Currently Im trying to pay the money I owe them , they gave me details to set up a standing order which I did , then recently I recieved a text saying a missed payment so I contacted the bank , the money had left my account to British Gas Trading LTD . I copied the statement emailed it as I was asked to do, then rang them and they said they cant find the email , they checked and the account number THEY gave me was wrong , it
It was a legit BG account but not the right one according to them , so I had to go to the bank and rectify it then phoned them back and they said , that one was not the right one either , they will check all and get back to me which they have not!! Im going to ring them again shortly . I really can not fathom why THEY are making this payment plan so hard for me to set up!! I think I will pay it by automated service so they will definietly get it ! I dont trust their standing orders and direct debits any more ! And before all this I had a direct debit with them that accoroding to them got cancelled without my knowledge !! Hopefully by automated payment service , I wont need to deal with their operators which some have been good to be fair but mostly I feel like they can not or will not get things done right ! I have other standing orders with other companies and they are running smoothly so why is it so hard with BG ?! I can not understand why they are meant to be the best in the uk , I dread to think what the other gas and electricity suppliers must be like if BG are the best !! I find dealing with British Gas very stressful recently. They have gone downhill! I struggle to cominucate easily with some of their staff to be honest! They are difinently not 5 stars ! No way !!
