Getting out of Nootra is a world of pain (so best not get in)

This is a tiresome company which caused me loads of bother. It is one of those firms which misleads you into buying a subscription when all you wanted to buy was one item to try it. Then when you try to cancel the subscription (that you never wanted in the first place) it is impossible. There is no effective customer service, they don’t answer emails, they say they will send you a link so you can “manage your subscription” which they then don’t …. It was a world of pain to stop paying for this stuff.

The entire experience was great from…

The entire experience was great from end to end. The furniture is super and well made - described accurately with multiple photographs and videos. The customer service is first rate - they answered the phone quickly and answered my questions immediately and with confidence. The delivery was prompt and incredibly efficient.

Please take really good care with Tropic Soul

I just wanted to alert all trustpilot users to a website called tropicsoul. I bought two (somewhat overpriced but hey ho) tops for Pilates. The tops did not arrive. The customer service links do not work - the emails bounced back, and the (mobile) phone number for customer support just takes you to a voice message. I have tried to contact them over a dozen times to no effect. They have a lovely looking website and the company address is in Mayfair but upon checking their companies house information I discovered that the company is newly incorporated. Please do take very great care.

There is an issue over checkout

There is an issue over checkout. It automatically adds £30-£40 to the bill. The AI says this is a problem with the cart. Just posting to advise people to check their carts carefully

Are the reviews for individual tours using skewed samples?

The reason for posting this review is that I am not sure how honest the trustpilot ratings are for their individual tours. I recently completed two tours with the company - one was brilliant and 5-stars in every way, the second was fine but only fine and somewhere between a 3 and 4 star experience. After each tour the company sent me a feedback request which I completed. After the 5-star tour feedback request was completed, the company sent me a link to the trustpilot review for the individual tour. After the 3/4-star tour, the company did not send me a link to the trustpilot review for the individual tour. Which leads me to conclude that the trustpilot reviews for the individual tours are skewed by only including rave reviews and filtering out less than rave reviews.

Recent upgrade wastes time

I genuinely like the Trainline App - it was easy to use and the split-save facility is good. I’m disappointed with recent upgrades to the app which willy-nilly insist on taking me to purchase-screens for multiple tickets or season tickets when I only want one ticket. Infuriating and time-wasting

Ocado is super so far

I’m delighted to shop at Ocado, it’s a total upgrade for me. There are 3 things that are really great about it. Firstly the range is great. If you want a good quality bone broth there’s several (rather than none at Sainsbury’s) Secondly I haven’t had aged or rotting vegetables Thirdly I like the fact they’re prompt and text when they’re on the way.

Lots of organic choice as well!

Terrible really

Terrible really. It’s just embarrassing. I feel more than a little sorry for the owners.

I bought 4 packs of their aged wrinkly tasteless tomatoes. On the vine, of course. Good job I served them the day after I bought them, they’d have been inedible a day later.

I also bought 4 packs of their sausages as I was hosting a coronation brunch. Their sausages are a disgrace. Flavourless, injected with a ton of water. I had to switch them into a fresh roasting pan given they’d leaked so much artificially injected water they were in danger of being boiled rather than roasted.

The chicken bone broth is also a disgrace. I’m not sure what the proportion of bone to broth was (as they intentionally don’t state it), but it must have been very low. I’m going to avoid this brand going forward

The device doesn’t work

The device arrived, I charged it up (takes 4-5 hours) and it doesn’t switch on. It would be great if the team could actually test the products to make sure they are working before shipping them. Now I have to faff around sending it back, waiting for them to acknowledge they’ve received it, and then refunding me. Utterly painful.

(Later edit) I’ve returned the device, which wasn’t too much hassle. I am not persuaded by the company’s explanation below that it’s not possible to test the devices before sending them out because of hygiene reasons. All you need to do is check that the electrical circuits work.

(Final edit) I’m delighted to report that the company has refunded my costs and provided me with a voucher. I do think that this company’s customer service is first rate.

I am very sorry that the device is not working. We will, of course, have a replacement device sent to you, the return of the device you have will be free.

I can see you've sent a follow up question about the return and we will get back to you first thing about this.

Unfortunately, for hygiene reasons we are not able to test devices before we send them out. The vast majority of devices we sell are sealed so it would involve breaking a seal. Also, you have been unfortunate with your product received but it’s a fraction of a fraction which might not work ok arrival.

Dissatisfaction guaranteed

Sainsbury’s delivery team repeatedly either (a) forget to pack an item or (b) pack items with short lives - I’ve had three weeks in a row of brown rotting apples. Their customer service call unit repeatedly cut people off (as other customers have noted) so it’s not worth the battle of calling.

This week was particularly awful. They failed to deliver two crates of stuff, over £100 worth of goods. The driver looked blank and didn’t help. The call centre cut me off FOUR times after I had been waiting in the phone queues for a total of TWO hours. I had to make a trip to the store so I could call the online help team from the store so that they wouldn’t cut me off so that I could get the refund. After wasting hours of my time they offered me a £10 voucher. I’ve decided to switch to Waitrose.

I would like to use this forum to politely request that the Sainsbury’s call centre (a) stop deliberately cutting people off (b) stop lying to people by promising them they will call back if they get cut off and then not calling them back. It’s disrespectful and dishonest.

No delivery date and no click and collect confirmation

I really want HMV to survive as a brand, so when I needed to buy some vinyl as a present, I turned to HMV.

The vinyl range is astonishingly poor, and there is no delivery date if you order online. Which is totally weird, every business doing home delivery will tell you when products will be delivered - apart it seems from HMV.

Being nervous that the vinyl wouldn’t arrive in time for the birthday, I elected for click and collect. Still no collection date on the order, but I figured it was more likely to arrive on time than if I chose home delivery. I got no collect email so eventually I phoned the shop and they confirmed my order had arrived.

So all this is totally shambolic right? But surely Vinyl is a big route for HMV plus nailing home delivery is a must. Totally want the brand to survive but pretty sure it won’t. And that’s a real shame.

Outstanding

I was blown away by the level of customer service. Our table looks amazing but there was an issue with fitting the glass runner. Quatropi could not be faulted. They sent someone around to help fit it, and when the glass runner broke, they sent someone back to fix it. They were absolutely brilliant and I highly recommend them. Amazing to find this level of customer support and service. Outstanding.

The products are good but the customer service is poor - my estimated delivery date was 3 November. I emailed on 6 November to ask where they were. No response until 9 November by which time the electrician had been and gone.

Escalation of prices from online quote

I ultimately cancelled with Anyvan because of their escalating prices. The online quote was very reasonable - but then the escalation started.

I edited to include around another 3m of boxes (taking the total to 21m of space), and saw the price double which felt unreasonable. Then they phoned and demanded an additional £180 for the upright piano, which was disclosed on the original online quote. I felt misled and cancelled and found a local firm instead.

I thought the team were first rate

I thought the team were first rate. I've done two orders now - one for some clematis. The clematis arrived in good (not great) condition and planted and rooted well. I also ordered some dianthus - ten plants - and the plants arrived in great condition. The ordering is easy and they do what they promise to do on time and efficiently. Can't say better than that and I like this firm's ethos.

They are not up-front and honest.

If I had known that this programme involved 2 hours of cooking a day, I never would have started it, because I would have known I didn’t have time.

Another thing I really objected to is that the small print signs you up to a monthly direct debit - which of course I didn’t want. I only discovered this once the payment had been processed. Not the appropriate way to do business.

They were brilliant TBH. I’d sent my Cartier off to be serviced at Cartier 3 times at considerable cost and not once did they get it running properly. Now my lovely Cartier works perfectly and I’ve given it to my daughter. Thanks so much!!!
