Frustrated loyalty !!
I've been an EE mobile phone customer for over 10 years but as my current contract was due to end in the next month or so, decided to review alternatives. Predictably, given recent press, I did find more cost effective deals that suited me. However, as I had been a loyal customer of EE and they had given me "loyalty discount" before, I decided to discuss the matter with them. To that end, on 16th June, I called them but failed to get someone to talk to, just recorded messages and links sent to me via text. As a consequence, I went on my EE app to see my contract details and understand what I needed to do. Within 30 mins "Libby" called from their "loyalty dept." - as I was driving, she arranged to call the following day at 12 noon to further discuss. I waited from 11.40 to 12.30 but received no call!! Their number did call twice at approx 3pm and I answered both calls within 5 secs only to be greeted by a recorded message "an agent has tried to call and will call again later". I tried returning the call but, again, was routed by links via text that were not helpful.
I waited until 24th June before, having had no contact from EE, went back to the app. Within 10 mins. I received a call from "Sasha" from their loyalty dept. who offered me a couple of alternatives - as I am a pensioner in my 70's and would like to avoid any moving hassle, I agreed to consider so Sasha agreed to call the following day to finalise. I STILL AWAIT ANY CALL FROM EE.
