Fantastic company, used them for 12 years!

I bought my Canon 5D MKII 12 years ago from HDEW with various EF lenses. Amazing camera and lenses and still going strong, I had the usual port failure after many years of ownership (nothing to do with HDEW).

I've just purchased a R6 MKII from HDEW and I can 100% recommend this company and do not see any reason to pay more with other retail outlets.

Yes you don't get the manufacturer warranty being imported but HDEW are on hand to assist with their warranty scheme which judging by their service I have no concerns.

I will continue to use HDEW and make savings on my equipment where possible. 👍🏻

Misleading and poor customer service

What looked like a good deal quickly became overpriced once the shipping cost was added at checkout. I asked for clarification, but it took several days to get a response. In the end, I decided not to order, and I’m glad I didn’t.

I gave two stars because they did eventually reply, but the experience was poor overall. I went to Design911 instead, the difference in customer service was night and day.

Hit and miss customer service

The customer service is hit and miss. My first order arrived with a larger logo than expected, which I did not want, and they have not responded to my email. I paid again and received a second plate, but this one arrived damaged. Sometimes they reply, other times they do not. I have ordered many plates from Proplates and when they get it right, the quality is generally good.

Update: Proplates have now contacted me and sent a replacement number plate. I did not particularly write this review to get a response but I'm pleased things are resolved.

Arrived on time in the UK but had a slight issue with assembly

Chair arrived on time in the UK, no damage, quality is excellent. I've not assembled the chair as it's a gift for my birthday in June. Can't wait for it to try it out in my studio!

Update: On assembly, one of the screws was very difficult to turn, which resulted in the thread becoming damaged. I was able to assemble the chair regardless, but I chose not to inform Minale, as resolving the issue would likely involve more hassle than it’s worth due to the chair being imported into the UK.

I’ve had a difficult time sourcing a…

I’ve had a difficult time sourcing a part outside of warranty, but James at Design 911 has been helpful throughout the process. In my opinion, a company is not defined by how they perform when everything goes smoothly, but by how they handle challenges.

I highly recommend Design 911 and will continue to purchase parts from them for my Porsche.

Great products, item damaged in the post but issue resolved.

Great products, love the quality and design.
I ordered a candle set. Unfortunately I had two items damaged in the post. Their customer service is excellent and they are sending a replacement and repacking the candles.

5 blind nightmare! Manual blind solved the problem..

Two damaged electric blinds, finally the third was ok then the most complicated setup to sync the remote and to top if off two faulty motors! Five months of waiting, all in all a total nightmare!

I requested a manual blind in the end and that went smoothly, although it's very stiff to retract. I will say the customer service was good and they did their best to resolve the situation.

I just couldn't give an more than 2 star given the stress and time wasted on this product.

Detected Trojans but hack could be still present.

Hi,

Your software picked up multiple Trojans on my iMac which was great, however although I don't know for certain, there was strong evidence that suggested my data breech was still present. Unfortunately, I had to wipe my iMac to be sure.

This is the second time they have damaged my roller blind. Granted the item could be packaged better but I'm so annoyed!

Avoid using this this company for delivering delicate items!

Overall my claim was dealt with to a satisfactory standard

Communication between my broker and KGM was bad and wasted a lot of time. Once I spoke to KGM direct overall they dealt with my claim to a satisfactory standard. I had to chase a lot of emails and struggled to get a responce at times but in the end everything was resolved.

Initially we agreed a price prior to…

Initially we agreed a price prior to inspection which would be done while I wait and paid for on said day. When I arrived they could not do this and requested I leave the car with them and they would let me know if there where any issues before payment. Unbeknown to me the car developed an air con fault which I made them aware of. To be fair to Alexander’s we agreed a price without the air con issue, needless to say they used this to try haggle the price which I refused and the agreed price was eventually paid.

Responce:
We agreed you inspect my car while I wait which was no problem. On my arrival you informed me you could not do this the same day as you stated and offered me a lift (otherwise I'd be stuck at Alexanders) which I did not decline. Overall, I was pleased with your service despite the minor issue above.

Reasonably, we discussed the air con fault with you and after this discussion we agreed a price for your car.
