Top quality service

Top quality service from start to finish - very impressed with this company and in particular the young man who came to give me a quote and then installed a new oil tank completely on his own two days later, on a Sunday! He was so hardworking, polite, and friendly , and he deserves to do well in his working life. Thank you for a job well done with no hassle! Will certainly recommend your company.

Nice surprise gift

Gift was received really well and a lovely surprise. Only thing my daughter mentioned was that the scones were plain - she likes fruited scones, but she and her partner did enjoy everything, including the biscuits.

Ongoing unsolved problem+ rising premiums

I have had an ongoing
problem with my toilet blocking since June. They have been out and cleared it about four times. First two times manhole was filled with sand and grit! Told it was rats and to get council to lay bait. Council don't do this. They said contact Severn Trent who eventually came out and then sent team to do camera survey. No evidence of rats found and pipework good. 6 weeks went by, during which bathroom renovated so toilet not used. This week toilet blocked again. Called Homeserve early morning, told I'd get call back within four hours. No call received. Rang again, told they'd request call back again .Asked to speak to manager. Told someone would call back. Two hours later still no call so rang Severn Trent who came and flushed it through but said they should not be doing it as manhole is not 'shared' with any other property and I should get insurers to do it! Homeserve eventually rang at about 430pm to say they'd come yesterday(Saturday,2 days later)!! and in meantime they would have left me for nearly 3 days without a toilet! Not good enough! Normally they have responded well to calls but now blaming Covid 19 for lack of service yet Severn Trent still working ok. Also I've heard premiums to current customers are rocketing yet they are advertising that NEW customers can get cover for £1 per month! I shall be calling them tomorrow to demand they solve this problem with repeated blockages once and for all as it doesn't make any sense to me. Now really worried that my premium is going to go up. A friend has had one call out this year and has been told her premium is going up by £10 per month to £26 a month from renewal. I thought it was now illegal for insurers to offer new customers lower premiums than old customers!

In regards to the premiums, we do offer introductory prices to give new Customers the opportunity to use the cover and experience the service we offer. This is especially useful for Customers who have never had this type of cover insurance before to see if it can help them avoid unexpected repair bills. We inform you that the premium will increase at renewal, before you take the policy out. We then also send renewal documents 4 weeks before the renewal date, to inform you that the promotional price is coming to an end, and how much the renewal price will be.
