Singletrack Bikes or Route Cycle thieves

I received the following grovelling email from Singletrack Bikes’ CS Manager, Gabe Bell;

Dear Brian,

I’m reaching out personally to sincerely apologise for the recent lack of communication and delays regarding your order with us.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, our operations were disrupted, and we failed to fulfill or respond to over 300 outstanding orders — including yours. This is far from the standard we aim to uphold, and I take full responsibility for the inconvenience and frustration this may have caused.
To make things right, you now have the option to either:
Receive a Full Refund – No questions asked.
Have Your Order Fulfilled Immediately – If you still want the item(s), we will prioritise shipping them to you as quickly as possible.
Please reply to this email with your preference and include your order number, so we can process your request promptly.
Once again, I am truly sorry for the lack of communication and the delay. We’re actively working to improve our systems and ensure this never happens again. Your patience and understanding mean a lot, and we’d love the opportunity to earn back your trust.

Suffice to say that the refund promised wasn’t delivered. It’s almost like he was trying to rub salt in the wounds??!

Singletrack Bikes or Route Cycles? Neither exist!

Further to my last review of Singletrack Bikes, I received an email from a Gabe Bell who purports to be the CS Manager at Route Cycles. He said he was reaching out personally to sincerely apologise,,, blah blah blah... and offered to make things right by offering me a choice of either a full refund or to have my order fulfilled immediately. I chose the refund option and I provided him with my order reference number. That was on 1st October. Its now 13th October and I have neither received a refund nor a response to my email. Its all just a complete sham! Also, checking Companies House for Route Cycles and it doesn't exist. Con artist at work!

Awful airline and disrespectful gate worker.

Yesterday, I flew from Palma in Mallorca to Newcastle. The flight was marked as being late. As it was, around 50 minutes late. One of their gate staff was very loudly shouting instructions informing customers that those who haven’t paid for “fast track” must take the right hand lane for passport and boarding pass check. He was extremely loud and he seemly had no respect or regard that the people that had not paid for fast track, were still paying customers. Then shortly afterwards at transfer bus entry, he was shouting at people who were heading towards the bus’ front entrance, exclaiming that door was for fast transfer only! Clearly this was done in an attempt to demonstrate to fast trackers that it was worth the extra cost to fast track. It would have helped if there was a signage to indicate which doors were for the fast trackers. The whole experience was an absolute shambles and in future I will avoid Easy Jet like the plague!
To enable you to investigate this further, my seat number was 6F. Flight EJU7255. The staff member in question would not let me see his ID card, but I noticed it had 30 printed on it in large numbers. He worked at the desk at boarding pass check, then at the bus entrance when boarding

Exceptional customer service!

I bought a Dura Ace crank and chain ring set in HOB's sale. A month after purchasing it at an exceptionally good price, I realised that this component wasn't exactly what I needed and so I boxed it back up and returned it. The day after they received it, HOB issued a full refund; no questions asked and no hassle. Brilliant service! Thank you very much indeed!

Shame on Jet2! Poorly judged star rating.

My wife and I have used Jet2 on several occasions for holidays in Rome and Barcelona and also for just flights. We have generally had good experience and as such, we always look to their website when searching for our next holiday.
Unfortunately, we have just returned from a Tenerife holiday where we stayed at the supposedly 4 star GF Isabel Hotel. I have already left a review of this hotel and because we had such a disappointing experience, I felt it necessary to review Jet2’s performance too.
We simply cannot believe that this hotel could be classified as 4 star! If this is how Jet2 classify 4* rating, then what must it be like staying in their 2 or 3 star hotels??!
Rooms were tired, beds were worn out, roof leaked when it rained, kitchenette was poorly equipped and ant infested. The bed sheets were grey and old. The pillows smelled musty. The bathroom towels were small, old, thin and rough to the feel. I just cannot understand why Jet2 consider this a 4 star hotel?? How will I be able to trust Jet2’s ratings next time I select a hotel? Seriously disappointing!
