Complaint resolved amicably

Renting the car online the impression is VIP Cars are renting you the vehicle. But really they are more of a price comparison site.

I opted for their insurance upgrade which promised to cover any mishaps but the actual hire company GoldCar said I would still be liable for up to 3500 Euros if the car came back with more than a 2cm dent. So be aware that the online insurance is not going to give you total peace on mind.

2. I ordered a Peugeot 3008 but they provided a Seat Alteca. It's a similar size but engine feels underpowered and a cheaper car I would say.

After complaining to VIP Cars via this site I felt listened too and was content with the resolution offered.

Nice staff but I spent several weeks…

Nice staff but I spent several weeks wasting time with Moneybox. After getting a good indicative quote on a mortgage I then uploaded all my ID documents, proof of earnings etc on to their portal only for them to tell me that actually they could get me any mortgage offers. It took ages to get to the point of not being offered any mortgages at all (I think, to be fair, because they knew they could not be competitive). I then went direct to Natwest who offered me the market-leading rate online and I had the mortgage sorted start to finish with them in three weeks. Based on my experience I would definitely not recommend Moneybox mortgage brokers. But maybe they work for others???

Hisense dishwasher - unreliable

Hisense dishwasher has broken twice in the space of two years.
Hisense HS620D10WUK Standard Dishwasher in White - cost £410.
So far has broken down twice luckily within the manufacturer's warranty. Both times the circuit board has needed replacing. Currently been waiting three weeks for the second repair.
Hisense customer service is OK in the sense you can get through to them and they pass it on the repair company - WeRepair Ltd. But WeRepair sent an engineer out without a part the first time, then with the wrong part a second time.
So all in all would not recommend a HiSense Dishwasher - you would expect the machine to last more than two years without breaking.

Communications are good, sales team are on it. I felt hard done by that my initial claim was not paid in full and as a gesture of goodwill they paid it in full so I can't complain.

Amazing value and service

Amazing value and service. I am not sure what is up with the other reviews on here as they get great reviews on Checkatrade and that chimes with my experience.

4.5m by 2m sliding doors fitted with integral blinds for just over £4k was a very competitive price. We are beyond delighted with the result, anthracite grey (natch) they look the business.

I did extensive research and they were only a bit more expensive than various randoms on the internet, but they are a local company to me (in Burgess Hill). Recommended by my builder who has used them for various projects.

Fantastic customer service and warranty repair

Bought a Delonghi Magnifica coffee machine just over a year ago. It started making a terrible noise and stopped working. Phoned up Delonghi and they sent a courier around the next day and returned it fixed and cleaned within a week for free as part of the two-year-warranty. Absolutely first-class service.

Tripled my premium at auto-renewal stage

Had home buildings insurance. Never made a claim. Then they tried to auto-renew me up from £180 to £500 per year premium. I phoned them up and said it was something to do with postcode. So I said cheerio and promptly found a quote at broadly the same price as before on MoneySupermarket. Even Esure came back on Moneysupermarket with a £230 quote. It seems like classic sneaky hope you don't notice premium inflation. It makes me angry because I know my elderly parents have lost thousands to companies like this don't have the energy to fight/shop around/they are trusting. So watch out! I would have given them one star, but their call handler sounded like a nice guy and there were no quibbles about cancelling.

Good communications - pleased with the shed

OK edited this one. Original comms was not great, but then BuyShedsDirect phoned me after a week and explained there was a short delay and shed would arrive on 11th working day (so just after the 5-10 days advertised).
It arrived as promised and I'm very pleased with it. Price at £550 for 8' x 6' Forest Beckwood 25yr Guarantee Shiplap Pressure Treated Windowless Double Door Apex Wooden Shed was competitive. And it looks sturdy, certainly more than good enough to store stuff in. It's very easy to put together (a LOT easier than a log cabin-type construction) because the side panels and floor are pre-made and just need to be screwed together.

Excellent value

Excellent value, quality gazebo delivered on time. My only slight criticism is that the instructions could be a bit clearer! So completing it required quite a lot of clambering about on the roof with my 20 stone weight bearing down on the structure. I think that was the only way to do it, but not that clear from instructions. But I managed to complete the build in about three days on my own working off and on and I am super pleased with the result. Another great project from Dunster House.

My parents bought a Sigma home

My parents bought a Sigma home. Completion was around six months late. When they moved in house was unfinished. They have tackled all the snags but has been down to my elderly parents to spot snags and get them done, often after a lot of feet dragging from Sigma and back and forth. Based on my experience I would avoid buying a home off plan if you can. Maybe Sigma no worse than anyone else but it was very stressful. Positives are location, design and general layout of development which is nice. Workmanship on finish was sadly lacking. Kitchen cheap with moulding on doors already failing. Same experience for most in the development.

Very impressed with quality of product and looks great. Good value too. Only criticism is instructions were hard to follow as largely generic. But I got there in the end and managed to build solo in four very full days! Rhine Log Cabin
