AVOID Worst courier company in the UK
Worst courier company in the UK. Avoid them at all costs! My neighbours and I have experienced long-standing poor experience with Evri which have resulted in multiple thefts that we have all attempted to report in the form of negative feedback and complaints multiple times directly with Evri.
My long-standing issues with Evri I experienced even as recent as last Friday, is that the drivers never ring my door bell, even when I am working from home all day and easily could accept hand-to-hand delivery. Instead the driver leaves parcels outside my building, in an unsafe place, from which parcels have repeatedly been stolen. As this problem has occurred before, there is even a large sign installed that instructs drivers to not leave parcels. Yet Evri drivers repeatedly ignore this sign, although they always conveniently ensure they crop the sign out of their photo showing proof of delivery!
As I said this happened to me again as recently as last week when I was working from home. On this occasion I was lucky that my neighbour spotted this action and alerted me, and therefore I was able to quickly rescue the parcel before it could be stolen. Unfortunately other neighbours have not been as fortunate, and in the past few months thefts have sadly occurred almost daily. My neighbour also tried to politely speak with the Evri driver that day to ask him to not leave parcels there, and to use people’s doorbells. Unfortunately his response was appalling and entirely unprofessional. He stated that he is ‘allowed’ to leave packages anywhere he wants and that he doesn’t have time to ring people’s doorbells. He also said that it is not his problem if parcels are stolen.
Friends and family all over the country have similar experiences. You only need to Google Evri to see that my experience is common practice for them. For your sake, do not believe these positive reviews.
So I strongly urge customers and businesses alike to consider whether you wish to be associated with a company whose employees behave in this manner and who are not interested in acting on feedback.
In contrast I typically have not experienced such unprofessional behaviour from Royal Mail, UPS or DPD, who will respectfully ring my door bell and typically ensure parcels are safely handed over.
