Trading platform and customer service both excellent

Very impressed with my experience of the CultX platform. Cult also kindly arranged visits to some exceptional wineries in California for my wife and I as well as proving a full on-site tasting evening prior to supplying the wine for our wedding.

Review of Alpy Transfers

False advertising regarding refunds (check AlpyBus reviews)

Firstly, be aware of the reviews under AlpyBus. I suspect the rebrand to AlpyTransfers was to try and distance themselves from their reputation.

We have raised a dispute with this company because the product page for AlpyPlus ticket states "Full refund if your plans change" however the small print in the Terms & Conditions states that refunds are never applicable for shared transfers, only vouchers.

The company have said they are not receiving our emails and are unwilling to give any information about who we can contact.

Be extremely cautious.

Misleading Refund Protection

The page for AlpyPlus clearly states “full refund if your plans change”.

The company are refusing the refund and offering a voucher for 50%, referencing small print hidden in their Ts&Cs despite the very prominent claim of full refund (implies cash).

Serious Warning - Avoid Ordering

Ordered £1,200 of tiles. Delivery day offered for 2 days after ordering. Immediately after ordering, we were told the majority of the tiles were not in stock despite being able to select delivery in 2 days time (website said they were in stock).

Over the following two weeks they repeatedly lied about when we could expect delivery, knowing we would cancel if they have an honest delivery date. At one point we were told by a customer service agent that they would come in a few days whilst the founder himself later confirmed they weren’t even in the UK.

I ended up having to collect the tiles myself from a pallet delivery depot, 18 days after ordering. And we had to order the size we didn’t want, because they were unable to locate the ones we originally ordered.

The founder eventually offered a half hearted apology and significant refund for the trouble. Obviously after that email we never heard from them again and received no refund.

I am reporting this company to Trading Standards and strongly recommend you do not purchase tiles from them.

Unwilling to issue immediate refund

6 weeks after cancelling and still have not received a refund. It seems they are using funds from cancelled trips for cash flow. Do not use.

This year, the waiting time has been extended slightly due to the processing volume due to the amount of bookings cancelled as a result of Covid restrictions. WARNING: Transfer may not arrive

We booked a transfer from Geneva airport to Tignes. That journey is around 3 hours and we booked it for 10pm. The driver never arrived. The transfer company that Bookaway had used for this booking said that they received a cancellation email from Bookaway. There was no suggestion from us that we wanted to cancel the booking so this was a significant fault on the part of Bookaway.

We were left at Geneva airport for over 2 hours while we had to find an alternative transfer (with no help from Bookaway) and arrived at our hotel at 3am.

Their current offer of compensation is a 10% refund. Ten percent. Offensive.

Avoid using Bookaway.

UPDATE: The 10% refund amounts to £9.50. Nine pounds and fifty pence to be left stranded at an airport for two hours. The compensation offer is as poor as the service.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience that this may have caused you.
Due to a miscommunication with the operator there was a delay in the pickup time, the driver was not there on time to pick you up but they did arrive two hours later, and because of this delay we have refunded 20% of your departure trip (which is 10% of the amount you've paid for the round trip).
We tried to reach out to the main passenger to understand what happened and if we misunderstood the situation, so that we can resolve this matter properly, we'll be waiting for your reply.

Review of The CDA Group Ltd.

Appliance broke in less than one year

Compressor broke within a year. We first reported this two weeks ago, as we are under warranty, and are yet to have a replacement part sent.

Update: an engineer came to replace the part. The same evening, the freezer stopped working, not sure it ever started again. Called CDA yesterday who said they would need to wait for the engineers report and would get back to me “ASAP”. Didn’t hear from them yesterday. Haven’t heard from them today.

Further update: When the replacement freezer arrived 10 days ago, it was damaged so had to be taken away. Never heard from CDA again. Best part of three months have now passed without a working freezer.

WARNING: Delivery takes several weeks

As all other reviews suggest, the website makes unreasonable claims about delivery times. I ordered on 10th Feb and my tracking shows:

14th Feb: Parcel Created
15th Feb: In Spain
16th Feb: In Spain
17th Feb: In Netherlands

It is now 8 days after placing the order and as far as I can see it is in the Netherlands.

The reply will suggest delivery factors are outside of their control, but as this seemingly happens to everyone, that is difficult to believe.

If they refuse to refund you within the usual timeframe of 5-7 days I recommend doing a charge back through your card provider.
