Cannot recommend this business highly…

Cannot recommend this business highly enough. My second purchase from Amayama for my Toyota MR2 and really impressed by the service and pricing. Please note that they are not a stockist so there may be a delay of few days before they can confirm that they are able to source your parts. You do not pay a penny until they confirm they can supply and a final postage price is confirmed. If you are happy with the final price then only at this point do you pay. In my experience they always tend to overestimate the delivery timescales so don't let this put you off, my parts have always arrived after about a week from dispatch. Parts have always been genuine and are a fraction of what you would pay in the UK. Thank you team Amayama

Our favourite pasties

Our favourite pasties. We first came into contact with them in a shop in Falmouth and have been fans ever since. As vegetarians we appreciate the choice of both a Cheese and Vegan pasty, still can't decide which is my favourite. We have ordered them for delivery back home on a couple of occasions and have been pleased with both the service and the taste (glad they use DPD, the best delivery service, offering a one hour delivery slot). Delicious 😋

Crisp Mystery Box

Purchased a Medium sized "Crisp Mystery Box" as a gift. Both I and the recipient were delighted with the contents. Thought it was excellent value and contained a good mix of unusual crisps from around the world. Also happy with the service, items arriving quickly with no issues faced. Would definitely use this business again.

Trustworthy Business

Used this business a few times in Tenerife and never had any issues. My main concern with any rental car is that I'm going to get stung for unfair charges but never had any issues despite some minor dings along the way (none of which occured whilst driving). In the Canaries it is inevitable that sooner later you are going to return to your car to find a nasty dent in your door or crack in your bumper as parking spaces are so small so please be aware that some cheaper car rental places will charge you for this even though it's not your fault. You also read horror stories of some businesses charging customers due to mechanical breakdowns etc as if it was their fault the clutch has gone! Happy to say that I've not had any issues with Cicar on this score. If you are going to rent in the Canaries PLEASE check out Tripadvisor first as otherwise it could be a very expensive holiday.

Awful Experience-Corby

I bought a battery from Halfords Corby. It was fitted to a classic car which doesn't get much use, so it was 6 weeks before the problem became apparent. The car wouldn't start, I tried to charge it on a known working charger but within a few minutes I was getting the message "bad" and an exclamation mark (!) which the instructions indicated meant that it was a faulty battery. I took into consideration that it was not impossible that my known working charger had become faulty so I took it to my Father to try it on his. He confirmed that he could also not charge it on his (he is a mechanic). I took it back to Halfords Corby where I bought it, they tested it with their tester and said that their wasn't anything wrong with it. But said that they could not properly test it until it was fully charged and their return policy states that they cannot offer refunds until it has been returned fully charged and their tester confirms a fault. I repeated that I could not charge it so that this would not be possible. They said that they are sorry (with the store manager in presence and confirming his agreement) but this is their policy and unless it is returned fully charged their is nothing that they can do to help me. I reiterated that I could not recharge it but the best I could offer is to bring in the charger that I am using to prove that it would not charge. They seemed very miffed with this solution. (I offered the solution that they attempt to charge it onsite with their charger but they said that if they did this I could claim that their charger had damaged it :;)
I returned a few hours later with my charger, I mentioned that it takes a few minutes before the "bad" and "!" Displays on the charger. After a few seconds I was again told that it appears to be charging and that their is no issue. I again pointed out that it takes a few minutes before the fault message is displayed. After virtually begging them to leave it plugged a couple of minutes longer the "bad" warning came up as expected. After some consultation with the manager I was told that on this occasion they would offer me a replacement but that in all likelihood it was my car that had broken the battery. (I explained that in a court of law they could not prove that it had or I could not prove that it had not) this seemed to rile them even more. At this point I was so grateful that they had agreed to swap my battery I thanked them profusely, their reaction was like they had done me a favour and was met with a shrug.
It was not until I had got home and calmed down that I felt that I had been short changed by this whole experience. I purchased a battery with a 5 year warranty and within a few weeks the battery failed. To be to given every excuse under the sun including that my charger was faulty, my father's charger was faulty and my car was faulty before a very reluctant exchange took place was disappointing. I will never purchase another item from Halfords again.

Delighted with the Service and pricing.

Bought replacement electric aerial through Amayama Trading Co for my Toyota MR2, the price of £138.98 including delivery seemed too good to be true given the cheapest I could source it for in the UK was £315, So I was a little bit skeptical and nervous as I had not heard of this company before and there is always added risk buying overseas, but all was well! It took a week or so for them to source the part but arrived quickly after dispatch and was a genuine Toyota part as advertised, I didn't have to pay upfront until they could confirm they could obtain the part and kept me informed of progress throughout.
Will definitely be using this company again to source all my hard to find parts.

Terrible service Evri time

Terrible service Evri time. I think another rebranding and renaming will be coming pretty soon as they have already trashed this one. Absolute farcical service almost guaranteed. I always avoid delivery by this company due to past experiences but the company I ordered from promised DPD but delivered with Evri. Evri sent me an email to ask if I wanted to divert my parcel to an Inpost locker. I thought this might mean unlike in the past I may actually receive my parcel without the usual dramas, more fool me. They are currently attempting to deliver for the fifth consequative day as the locker is supposedly full. I think the chances of getting my parcel are as per usual pretty low and are just waiting out their opportunity to return to sender to claim the delivery fee for absolutely nothing. Plus ca change plus c'est la meme chose.

Very impressed by level of service and…

Very impressed by level of service and team work by the Corby Kitchen team. Our lead was Jackie who was helpful friendly and knowledgeable throughout. Also impressed with the level of teamwork, if Jackie was unavailable one of the other team members would always take the issue on rather than having to wait for Jackie to return to work. A slight imperfection in a kitchen door was dealt with quickly and a replacement delivered with minimum fuss. Also I was quickly refunded for a couple of unused items that were left over after installation.
Extremely happy with my experience with Wickes Kitchens Corby Branch.

We didn't actually get the product we…

We didn't actually get the product we wanted but the customer service side was excellent. We ordered size 7 riding boots, when delivered the size 7 box contained size 6 boots. The service agent could not have been more helpful and friendly and arranged free return and sent out a new pair of boots, this time the size 7 box contained size 5 boots :). We decided to admit defeat and the refund was sorted promptly.
Despite a disappointing experience I would order from Ride Away again as at least you know if you do have a problem they will sort it promptly.

Used Randox multiple times for Travel…

Used Randox multiple times for Travel Covid tests. The tests have always arrived quickly and the process is made really easy.
Happy to say that Randox refunded us the full £170 we spent on PCR tests and pre departure tests when the government changed their policy. Rebekah O'N took ownership of the refund and made the refund process easy despite them being extremely busy with refunds as a result of the unexpected government policy change. Will definitely be using Randox again in a few weeks for our next trip.

In addition to my previous review I would like to further congratulate Select Cornwall in the slick way it processed my refund due to Covid. I was immediately contacted after the government announced my rescheduled trip would not be possible due to the ongoing lockdown about my options including a refund. Unfortunately I was unable to reschedule this time and my refund was processed the next day minus a small card fee (as agreed before booking). A much better performance than the 4 stressful months I had to wait for a refund from one of the major businesses in this sector earlier in the pandemic. Feel confident about booking with this company as they will look after you.

Very impressed with responsiveness

Very impressed with Select Cornwall thus far, they have been very easy to deal with and have been super helpful in reassuring us and rearranging our holiday due to Covid lockdowns. Alex is always quick to reply to enquiries even on Sunday! A welcome relief to the frustrations we have suffered with the big holiday let businesses during the pandemic. Happy Customer So Far

Although I have had no experience with claims I have always felt Quote Me Happy are very easy to deal with. Almost anything can be updated or changed online with ease. Have been with them for a few years now and am happy to see they don't seem to gouge their loyal customers as I have never been able to find a quote that is worth my while to switch to. You also have to opt in to auto renewal which is a refreshing change to many other insurers out there who try to force you to renew.
