Quico vs Glasses Direct...FAIL!!

Hi, I ordered two pairs of Ben Sherman Glasses from you after going through Quidco.
I clicked through as normal and did everything i do with everything else i purchase through them to get cashback and after a few days it still didn't show up on my activity so i raised a claim.

Last week i get this from Quidco
Your cashback claim for the Glasses Direct purchase on December 13th at 7am was declined. Cashback can be declined for various reasons, such as using an unauthorized voucher, not meeting the terms set on the retailer page, or your purchase not being covered by the cashback rates. If you believe none of these reasons apply to your purchase and you disagree with the decision to decline, you can raise a claim if your purchase was within the last six months. Keep in mind that some retailers do not allow claims, and if that's the case, it will be mentioned in the 'Good to know' section of the retailer's Quidco page.


So i emailed them all proof of my order and showing the screenshot i took saying i had clicked through correctly and today they replied with

Hi Paul

I am sorry that on this occasion the retailer has declined the cashback as the terms and conditions for the retailer were not met.

Regretfully when a retailer declines a claim they do not provide us with the exact term that was not met,

Once a claim is raised if this is declined we can not escalate this any further with the retailer, I do appreciate this is disappointing.

As part of the cashback journey, we do advise that cashback is not guaranteed, this is due to the cashback being issued by the retailer and we can not foresee if the cashback will be declined due to a number of reasons.

It's crucial that you check the retailer's terms and conditions and they can be found on the retailer's page under "Do's & Don'ts" before making a purchase to limit the risk of your transaction being declined

So can you please tell me why you declined it and what you think i did wrong?I did everything as normal and had to raise a claim and you give no reason for declining, so i am £19.12 cashback down because of you.
I will be doing a Trustpilot review shortly to warn people not to go through Quidco as you decline cashback.

So i advise not to use Glasses Direct via Cashback sites as they decline it for no reason.

I leave a review because they took over a year to approve my quidco cashback and they remove it. So here it is again.....

vs Quidco Cashback......Hmmm. Still waiting over a year on.

Quidco paid this as i got in touch with them asking why it's been over a year since claim being sent to retailer.


Hmmmm, great service and great iPad 11 pro cases and keyboards, but this was in June 2020 and still waiting for Cashback claim on Quidco which you are ignoring.

Always an excuse to not cover losses

July 2021 i pre ordered some special Doctor who Figurines from Eaglemoss, and again a few more up until January 2022.
Delays always blamed on Brexit, Suez Canal blockage and of course who can forget Covid-19, and as i had never had problems ordering before and being a subscriber since the DWFC started i assumed the items would arrive at some point as all of the above were affecting stock... Then July 2022 Eaglemoss goes into Administration without any warning to people that have spent hundreds of pounds in pre-ordering figurines etc.

I then get in touch with Vanquis and spoke to a nice guy called Shaun who took all details of orders i never received and he said there had been a lot of people calling in to claim due to Eaglemoss collapse.
A week or so later i get forms to fill in, and sent back with all copies requested and details, then i get a letter the next day stating that i had reasonable time to get my money back.
I sent a complaint to them as shown below in detail.



Thank you for the letter dated 21st July 2022 regarding my claims for EAGLEMOSS purchases dating back to July 2021, i am totally disappointed in the reply and in particular you quote

"We deem that since 12th July 2022 you have had a reasonable amount of time to attempt to resolve the dispute with the merchant and susequently raise a dispute. Therefore, following our assessment of your claim, we conclude that we are unable to recover your money under visa rules, based on the period of time that has elapsed since the transactions took place."

As i pointed our on the phone call to Shaun, all of these transaction were pre-orders for Doctor Who Figurine Special online orders. All payments before this to Eaglemoss are fine as i got those orders.
Everytime I messaged them or called to see what the delay is, i got told that Covid-19 was causing delays of the items shipping from China, then the Suez Canal blockage was holding them up and of course BREXIT also causing the huge price rises in the subscriptions and Specials on the website.
If i had an inkling they were going to go bust i was have got my money back, butmyself and so many trusted their word that items would arrive, but later that expected. They chaged the dates on the items on the website with rough new expected delivery dates each time, but nothing arrived and then they go bust.

I am not the only person that has been affected by this as Shaun told me the day i called up about this and to raise a claim that there have been a lot of calls regarding Eaglemoss going into Administration.

Due to never having a problem ordering with Eaglemoss in the past and being a subscriber to the collection from 2012, I had no reason to know that they were struggling or about to go bust, it was a shock to all of us.

No official statement has been sent to customers or subscribers.

How have you had a resonable amount of time to dispute it with Eaglemoss. They told you that the orders were not due until certain dates and then went bankrupt before the dates were reached. Hence them being called preorders. Eaglemoss only went bankrupt a month ago, without telling anyone and was impossible to contact as soon as the information was learnt by you. How can they say you had ample time to sort it with Eaglemoss? Thats bull, I would get back onto the bank or see if you can get advice from an outside source about it.

Check google for the Visa Core Rules and Visa Product and Service Rules:
I would call your attention to page 717, Dispute Condition 13.1: Merchandise/Services Not Received Dispute Time Limit which applies to all countries:
A Dispute must be processed no later than either:
120 calendar days from the Transaction Processing Date
120 calendar days from the last date that the Cardholder expected to receive the merchandise or services2,3
2 This does not apply to the purchase of a third-party gift card without an expiration date if the merchandise or
services were not provided by the third party due to insolvency or bankruptcy.
3 Not to exceed 540 calendar days from the Transaction Processing Date
Based on that, I would assume you're within the time limits if I'm not mistaken. You expected to receive your item in the future, so it hasn't been 120 days yet, and not 540 from the original charge date.

£634.51p out of pocket.

I await their reply and also written to the Banking Ombudsman and FCA

I have been a loyal customer since i joined Vanquis, and always settle my account every pay day and never paid any interest.
This is how they treat us.

What a bunch of Liars this lot are.

What a bunch of Liars this lot are.
An eBay seller used them to send a Pebble Pool for an outdoor water feature, it sat at Parcel shop 2 days and on the third day it was finally collected, then they spen two days sorting it, then say they will deliver on Saturday between 6pm and 8pm (To my work, Which closes on midday on Saturday), of course they didn't bother, they just said they need a bigger vehicle and they need sort it.
Monday 8th Aug 22 they say they will deliver between 6pm and 8pm, of course they didn't bother and just took a picture of the item in a car (So not a bigger vehicle at all), and this time stating "Your courier had an issue getting to the delivery address, If you have any delivery instructions you think might help, visit the help section and use the contact us page......
HAVE YOU EVER FOUND THIS CONTACT US PAGE, because i sure as hell couldn't, and all you have is the automated unhelpful Holly (Stupid name). I get in touch with the sender and he said he would contact Packlink who then contact Hermes,.......or whatever they want to rename their poor service as this month.

They never did bother again, so here i am 9 days later, and still no pebble pool, but not i have got a refund.
Amazingly two other parcels arrived on the day this should have arrived and they found my work address and did the usual, 'dump & Run' in the reception, didn't even ring the bell.

Absolute shower of doo doo this lot.
There is only so much you can polish a poop and Evri just ain't the polish this poop needed.

Customer services.......That's a laugh, even the damn phone is a chatbot that is of no use at all.

The sooner this lot go under the better.

They don't know the difference between CANCEL & NOT RENEWING

What a bunch of incompetent people in that place. They sent a renewal for my dog (This year's premium £130.32 including insurance premium tax.

Last year's premium £97.92 including insurance premium tax.) A rise of £32.40

and for my Cat (This year's premium £65.64 including insurance premium tax.

Last year's premium £55.68)
A rise of £9.96

Never claimed in the two years i was with them. So i replied with
"I won’t be renewing at that price
What a rip off.
Never claimed"

Then they email back with this for my Cat
"Thank you for confirming to us that you wish to cancel your policy for Patch
We confirm that we have carried out your instructions and we have also notified our underwriters accordingly.
Do let us know if we can be of any assistance to you in the future.

and this one for my Dog

I did not say cancel the policies, i said i would not be renewing with them. So you need to speak to them like children so the little darlings understand the difference between CANCEL & NOT RENEWING.
I paid for the last Direct Debits of both policies which would have taken me to the end of the policies at the end of the month, They best refund me.
What a shambles.
Never again will i use this lot.

Never reply to medical issue

Booked a holiday through Opodo (NEVER AGAIN), paid £495 for three flights from London to Turin (Easyjey) then turin to naples (Wizzair.com) and naples to London (Easyjet).
Broken my knee a week ago, been trying to get through to this lot to postpone flight bookings to later in the year and not a single reply.
Called and get cut off all the time after listening to recorded rubbish (Not actually got to speak to anyone yet).
Sent medical letter regarding my injury, but nothing in response, so it is looking likely i'll be losing my money because of their incompetence.

Lack of help from this useless company…

Lack of help from this useless company after i break my knee at work. I ask to change/cancel holiday as i cannot go for a few months and they just say "Contact your low budget airlines", well Wizzair cancelled and refunded nothing, easyjet a week on still have not replied to my request to postpone flights to later in the year. I sent medical proof of my injury and nothing back from them.

Never use opodo, they don't care. Book direct from now on with airlines.
Lesson learned.
I would not recommend opodo EVER...... to ANYONE

Rip off, no help, instant cancel, no compassion

Rip off, no help when trying to cancel/change dates due to my broken knee and not being able to take holiday.
Refunded me £0.00.
No compassion, just straight away cancelled flights.
I booked through Opodo (Big mistake there, their review is coming after this one)
Been trying to change flights with easyjet who a week on have still not got back to me, yet i sent all medical proof to them and asked them to credit or voucher so i can book later in the year when knee is fixed (Their review coming shortly too)

LESSON Learned, do not use opodo and do not use wizzair.com

wow, what a pile of crap this site is. Tried ordering Butchers dog food for click and collect. Get to basket and out of stock. Remove item, choose another and at checkout out of stock. Did a live chat and he was as much use as their site.

Renewal came back expensive

Renewal came back expensive, so i cancelled policy and got a new quote which was due to start 1st of Sept 2020 as it was cheaper doing a new policy with them.
I called to add a driver onto the policy due to start on 1st Sept and price was £79 dearer.
So i did a quidco compare and a newer quote with both drivers listed was cheaper than the policy that was due to start on 1st sept.
I cancelled the pending policy and they are so desperate to keep the payment i made on 4th August as there is a £20 fee to cancel (Seriously on a policy that hasn't even started yet)

New policy set up and due to start, but hopefully i will get £35 back from Quidco.
Hastings have been good but one star review due to them ripping me off to cancel a policy that hadn't even started yet.

Very pushy and wouldn’t let me talk so…

Very pushy and wouldn’t let me talk so I hung up.
They wanted to penalise me with higher interest rate of 27% because my IVA is still ongoing until November this year when it is all clear, all debts from my ex who screwed me over I might just add, six years I’ve been paying it and this lot want to charge me extra for up to five years.
Josh Wilde was the guy who called me and was very pushy.
Avoid this lot.
My IVA will clear by December from my credit report and I’ll go to the main dealer instead.

Going the way of Top Cashback.....down the sewer

I always click through Quidco when ordering stuff online and i spent £149 on Levi.com in April during lockdown.
I have the Quidco extension on my google chrome and everytime i go on levis site to look it says (ACTIVATE CASHBACK) so i click on it and it shows as tracked, but this one order did not track so i had to do it as a claim but they decided i did not go through Quidco.
So no more shopping with Levis site for me and Quidco extension will be deleted as clearly doesn't work
Yesterday i got an email from Quidco saying

Hi,

We are writing to you about your cashback claim.

On this occasion, the retailer has declined your cashback claim stating that Quidco has not been recognised as the referrer for this purchase. Awful Customer service

i ordered an ipad 11 pro from Vodafone on the 12th June and a week later it is still in credit check.
I have asked to cancel the order over and over but the useless chat people just do not listen and keep fobbing me off. I have just spent ages on the phone to cancel the order on the complaints number and it has just cut off after being on hold for ages.
Terrible customer service and care.

They refused my order with no reason and i got an ipad 11 pro elsewhere no problemm which arrived next day. My £20 upfront fiinally got refunded on saturday, one week and a day after makinng the order.
the guy that was supposed to call me back this tuesday didn't bother either.
Absolute joke.
Virgin media are so much better than Vodafone

Junk..Chinese rubbish. Do Not buy from this site.

This site makes it look like you are buying from UK, but in fact it is junk from China, just like wish.com.
Been well over a month waiting for a push up board and the tracking shows it is still leaving China and not even reached the UK Yet.

Do not buy from this site.
Do not buy from China, it is all fakes and shoddy stuff and covid-19 has a lot to answer for.




I've just checked and it was April the item was ordered around the 24th
Shipped out 8th May

it is now 22nd June
I've had stuff from wish.com arrive quicker (Not that i use that rubbish site anymore)

As you can see on the screenshot it has not arrived ion the uk yet.
