Actually works
Before purchasing the Novaa Light Pad, I was a skeptic of red light therapy. While I've read the science behind how it is suppose to work, I had my doubts - it just seems too simple, a bit like snake oil. Shine a light on it, it will get better... sure.
I had been nursing a shoulder and achilles tendon issue for months. Nothing new, I've had them many times before, ice/heat, ibuprofen and if really bad - maybe ask my doc for a short course of steroids (last choice).
Each iteration of these injuries seems to take exponentially more time to heal, one would think I was getting old or something. After nursing these pains for 3 months with no improvement and asking a few medical professionals (daughter is a physician, neighbor a PT, my own PCP and a few more), I figure why not.
Start using it once a day 20 minutes each location:
Week one - other than feeling some warmth, nothing noticeably different.
Week two - pretty much more of the same, I'm skeptical, remember.
Start using it twice a day 20+ minutes each go.
Week three - hmm, might be feeling better - must be placebo effect.
Week four - dang, it really does feel better - I think.
Week five. Ok, I admit - I actually do feel better. So much so, I've been oogling that Recovery Pad (the $2500 one). Yeah, well - I don't think that could heal what my wife would do to me...will it?
All humor aside, try it - you have nothing to lose but your pain.
