Great all round experience - from excellent and easy to navigate ux on the website, to email comms, aftercare advice and knowledge, and prompt delivery. Most importantly the plant arrived carefully packaged and amazing quality - far superior to other garden retailers I have used. Will definitely be using Roots again.

Awful. I will never ever order from them again. Their customer service is the worst i’ve ever experienced, they go out of their way to make it impossible to get any help. I wanted a refund on a meal that was incorrect on their menu (not the restaurant) and they refused to help. I raised within 4 hours, and they closed the ticket. Then when i raised a new one they said they couldn’t process because I hadn’t requested a refund within 48 hours, then they closed that ticket. I then raised a new one and was told to stop raising new tickets as it was causing confusion and to reply to the original (which they had closed!). Then they closed that ticket! And then the whole thing repeated. Its honestly the WORST, most unhelpful company i’ve ever come across - and i’ve come across some pretty bad ones.
Id stick with Deliveroo or Just Eat in future. Or order directly from the restaurant.

I have no choice but to leave a new review, as I still have heard NOTHING regarding my missing order.
I raised a new ticket with GE on 9th September, and have just seen it has been closed. Along with the previous 2 I raised that have just been ignored.
HOW CAN THIS COMPANY BE ALLOWED TO TRADE?!!
Please, please - anyone reading the good reviews, ignore them - they are FAKE - look at the 10's of thousands of awful reviews and stay clear. This company is the worst I have ever dealt with. How can deleting peoples genuine tickets and pretending they don't exist be a legal way of dealing with customers they haven't fulfilled orders with? It's outrageous.
I have now contacted trading standards, the BBC Watchdog and also You and Yours - who featured GE at the start of lockdown for the same issues that are still happening. I urge everyone who is experiencing the same to do this too. They need to be stopped and held accountable.
Below are the previous reviews I've left (which GE dealt with by 'pretending' they had been in touch with me. They haven't.
Oh, and I'm still receiving weekly marketing emails. You couldn't make it up.
UPDATE 2: Another 23 days passed, and 20 WEEKS since my order back in April. That's 140 DAYS!!!
And to make matters worse, I have just checked my ticket status and it has been CLOSED!!! I have had no replies to anything since June, and no refund. I am so, so, disappointed and frustrated with this company. It seems many, many other people have had the same issues, we have all been conned and basically robbed of our money. There is no way of contacting them, no phone line, the ticket system is ignored and deleted and the same with the email address they've supplied on here. To add insult to injury I'm receiving marketing emails on a weekly basis. Joke. They need to be shut down.
UPDATE 1: Another 20 days have passed, and still nothing. I'm at a loss. Please to everyone reading the good reviews, note that these are fake and 'invited'. Pay heed to all of the bad ones before ordering. It will save you money and months of hassle.

AWFUL!!!
I ordered a set of 12 plants back in April. 6 weeks later, 3 arrived. I have been SO patient. So patient. I raised a ticket, waited, waited and waited. Then sent photos of the plants I received, and waited. And waited. And waited. Sent 3 further emails and waited again.
3 months later and nothing has been done. I receive automated emails saying they are 'incredibly busy' and to please be patient. I have. For 12 weeks.
I have now been told that the courier has said the plants were delivered, yes thank you for that helpful info - 3 plants were delivered. The problem appears to be that they weren't ever packaged in the warehouse - which is not the couriers fault. 9 were missing. NINE.
12 weeks to be told something I already explained to them. It's not good enough, I've asked 3 times for a refund and just been ignored. This is absolutely appalling customer service. The only way of contacting is through a 'ticket' system, which no-one reply's to. they have deactivated their chat facility (I wonder why!?) and there seems to be no contact number. To make matters worse, I now keep getting marketing emails telling me about all the wonderful plants offers they currently have on and that 'We're back!!' Yes. Brilliant. 'Back' to con more people out of money and get away with it.
I have every sympathy that there have been severe problems caused by COVID - but that's no excuse to not communicate or respond to people for this length of time. Especially as they seem to have the man-power to send out new sales comms.
I'm honestly feel really let down and frustrated with this company.

I wouldn't recommend using this firm. Everything was unprofessional, shambolic and a complete mess from start to finish. I ended up having to change solicitors after 5 months because nothing was achieved.
I was also charged for automated emails from themselves about phone lines and emails being down, and for emails from myself chasing them for their lack of response - which is pretty outrageous in my eyes. And funnily enough - it took leaving this review to get them to address this. It’s a shame it took this length to get them to listen. You also have to question any solicitor that doesn’t have time to respond to their existing clients, but seemingly has all the time in the world to respond to a public review.
Please save yourselves additional stress and distress in an already difficult time, and go to someone who knows what they're doing. Yes they may charge more initially, but at least they'll do their job!
