I bought a woman merino wool navy crew neck jumper on 23/12/2018 order no.306-0010509-8448640. I put it on the first time in January when I was visiting my mother in HK and I quickly realised that there was a hole on the side seam and before I know what was happening the seam just split open all the way down. On my return to the UK I sent the jumper back on 27/3/2019 enclosing a note explaining what happened as above.
Today I received the faulty jumper back by courier. Not only they don't acknowledge the garment should not pass quality control but also enclosed a note of the Consumer Rights Directive. How condescending and I am furious!! This is a case of poor quality nothing else. I did wonder if the person sent me back the jumper actually even bothered to check the garment. To say I am disappointed with the customer services is an understatement.

I bought a pair of LK Bennett Paula Leopard trainers at the Oxford Street store on 30/9/18. At the time I was informed that there was no problem to return the shoes for refund by post.
Due to a foot injury I was not able to go to London to return the shoes but to sent them by Royal Mail signed for, enclosing a cover note and my contact number. It was delivered the following day on 3/10/18 at 11:16 hours.
To date nobody made any contact, no acknowledgement let alone a refund.
I have tried calling customer services but I was put through to different extensions and yet nobody seemed to be able to give me an update.
I called customer services at LK Bennett but I was told to refer the matter to Selfridges.
It is so frustrating, annoying, very unsatisfying and it really shouldn't happen to a big store like Selfridges.
I would continue to pursue the matter to get my full refund within my rights and my next stop would be the Trading Standards.
Review of The White Company
I have been shopping with The White Company for a long while and this latest experience turned me away from this company.
I placed an order on 4 July which my account was debited the same day. I cancelled the order 2 days later and was told not to take delivery and the refund will be processed once it's gone back to the warehouse.
I wrote to customer services about the refund on 16 July and got an auto response stating I will be contacted within 24 hours - no response whatsoever.
Since then I phoned 3 more times and was given 3 separate reference numbers each time. I contacted services in writing on 30 July hoping someone will at least have the courtesy to respond but sadly to-date I have heard nothing.
I am aware of my statutory rights which is to receive refund within 14 days of my notification to cancel. The fact that I have been waiting double that time is a breach of the Consumer Contract Regulations. Unless it is resolved it seems I have no choice but to report their breach to London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham Trading Standards.
