4 months later....

4 months later still waiting for a refund. No returned calls, emails not being responded to. Oh and previous MBFS that they care and want to call to discuss my concerns within the next 5 days.... they don't call. Now have a bill for damage to a car that was pristine when it entered their lock up facility 5 months ago!!

Are they actually swindlers?!

Eventually accepted new car was defunct. Accepted to accept the car back. 4 months later still waiting for my money back, noone returning calls, no one responding to my emails. Now receive an invoice for a car that's been damaged whilst in their possession for almost 5 months

MBFS won't refund me despite accepting serious fault with car and that my rejection of the vehicle is accepted.

Car recovered by dealer in week 2 with serious fault. I didn't want the car back but was stupidly convinced it would be fixed and after 4 weeks being sorted the car came back and in less than a month the same serious fault reoccurred and the car had to be recovered again. That was over 3 months ago. Despite MBFS FINALLY confirming it was a serious fault and they now accept my rejection of the vehicle, they are only offering to refund me my deposit and interest on the deposit and a £200 goodwill payment. Not interested in reimbursing me the 5-6 months of payments I've made! Staff holidays, and refusing or not returning calls or emails which has only further delayed resolution, adding to my costs. Genuinely I have 2 options, take their measly unreasonable offer or go to the FO (who take 3-4 months to assign a case worker). Highly suspect mbfs are playing on this as I now am left with the choice of take the offer or risk losing £1,000's more. I requested to be put in touch with a manager in the resolutions team when I wasn't hearing back from the the MBFS handler and was told 'no', again my only option was take the offer or go via the FO. Now reaching out to take their silly offer and no response again!! Cannot recommend anyone to use this Company. UPDATE: after being advised MBFS will be in touch to discuss, still waiting to hear. UPDATE: 5TH November, never heard from MBFS and still waiting for my refund, but did get an invoice for damage to the car whilst it was in their care!!

Lack of intelligent thinking but otherwise good

Actually seems well organised, timely and has a good spread of property options; I knocked it down a few points as we had a last minute crisis and would have benefited from bringing our holiday forward by a few days; the lodge we had booked was actually available the week before, and only available for 2 days after our stay, so we asked if we could bring forward our hols by 1 week, which would also have given the owners more chance of selling out the last week + the two days. The cost to change was an extra GBP 800+, which - considering we were going out of season and the week previous would have been even more out of season - was ridiculous. We ended up keeping our dates and having to leave our holiday early but that was cheaper than the GBP800 presented. It felt total 'computer says no' from the human we spoke to - so their client likely lost a week's rental and we gained nothing. It's this lack of intelligent thinking that tells me I wouldn't book with Sykes again - plenty of others out there.

Fourth order with Bensons in last 8 or…

Fourth order with Bensons in last 8 or so years. Just 2 years ago we bought a dual mattress from their Bespoke range on the basis that you have 2 sides to the bed that can differ in tension. We were assured you can mix and match if needed at a later date. Well now we need to but Bensons won't sell me the varying tensions I require and I've had to unhappily compromise. Also worth noting that 6 months ago we ordered a full-size medium Bespoke mattress - as the originals are so good; but the quality didn't appear as good. Its nowhere near as luxurious (and confirmed on a call this week that the Bespoke range has been 'updated' since we bought our original!). I'm spending a LOT of money and having to compromise. I will call the store again to see if I can get through to someone with executive sense to sort our issues, but the 'one size fits all' approach is pretty poor considering the money we are spending. I've yet to receive the new bed and mattress(es) so this may update based on that experience.

Parcel arrived with damaged packaging…

Parcel arrived with damaged packaging where someone had clearly reviewed the parcel contents for themselves! Try finding a number/email address or anything on their website to raise our concerns was useless. This appears to be a company that doesn't care as its got big clients like Amazon who can take the strain! Ironic that this week I watched a program siting how bad Hermes was for not delivering packages but instead selling them off, even if they have identifiable delivery addresses!

Best customer experience and top notch professional service to both buy our new house through Edward at West Byfleet and sell our previous house with Dan and Graham in Shepperton. Really personable as well as knowledgeable, never pushy and readily available.

Aggressive attitude if you ask too many…

For us, this was a poorly explained process, aggressive when you query how it works, when you need to sign a contract, etc. Told me they pay between 80-90% or value. Explained they get 3 independent estate agent valuations - but couldn't explain how they bench marked that information nor what triggered 90% as opposed to 80%; I asked this a few times, I still have no clue(?). As it was, we dropped our house price through our estate agent to a price designed to sell - sold next day (2 offers) to cash buyers and are (at least) 22% better off (I wasn't confident based on other reviews that the price they offered us wouldn't drop again - and the price really was rock bottom!!. ). Obviously WBAH need to make a profit, but the lack of clarity around the process was a worry, the aggressive style wasn't appreciated either.

Great shopping experience

Alexander very knowledgeable, and patient as we to and froe-ed various mattresses. Great range and choice. Shop was cool and comfortable and well laid out. Like the 'try for 40 nights' too.
