Lack of intelligent thinking but otherwise good
Actually seems well organised, timely and has a good spread of property options; I knocked it down a few points as we had a last minute crisis and would have benefited from bringing our holiday forward by a few days; the lodge we had booked was actually available the week before, and only available for 2 days after our stay, so we asked if we could bring forward our hols by 1 week, which would also have given the owners more chance of selling out the last week + the two days. The cost to change was an extra GBP 800+, which - considering we were going out of season and the week previous would have been even more out of season - was ridiculous. We ended up keeping our dates and having to leave our holiday early but that was cheaper than the GBP800 presented. It felt total 'computer says no' from the human we spoke to - so their client likely lost a week's rental and we gained nothing. It's this lack of intelligent thinking that tells me I wouldn't book with Sykes again - plenty of others out there.
