Hopeless communication and rude audiologist

Booked a hearing test after my husband had had one. Audiologist rang to say it had to be a “private” one as we were not in the “right” area for an NHS one. I queried this as my husband had had a free test with same clinic. The Outside clinic person told me to make an appointment with an NHS provider through my GP and failed to visit. The manager later rang me after I had complained and said although the test was “private “ it was free and only hearing aids would have to be paid for.

The courier did not knock or ring the bell.

Hermes delivered two parcels to my home today. They sent me a notification of the time-slot for delivery and one of us stayed near the front door to ensure we heard them - we are rather elderly. The parcels were left on the doorstep - nobody rang the bell or knocked. Luckily I saw a confirmation email, saying they had delivered the parcels two minutes earlier and I was able to retrieve them. Round here, people steal parcels from your doorstep. Had I not seen the email, they would have been gone in minutes

Ordered John Lewis radio

Ordered John Lewis radio. Came promptly but no instructions, no warranty and when plugged in and started, nothing happened except for the screen flashing. Had to return.

On-line experience

I buy at Waitrose (in person, rather than on-line) because they stock items that other supermarkets don't and usually the quality is fine. But my experience of ordering on-line from them has been consistently awful. I have never had an on-line order (and I have had quite a lot of orders from them) where they have been able to deliver everything I have ordered. They send me an email an hour or so before they deliver telling me what's now "unavailable" - in the latest case, almost half the order! This is so frustrating and doesn't happen with Sainsbury's, Morrisons or even Ocado. I use the Waitrose on-line facility because they purport to stock items other supermarkets don't (in fact these are mostly the items that are "unavailable" at the point of delivery) and they don't charge for delivery but I won't use them any more. It's too unreliable. I'll still visit the shops though, but what a hassle!
