Review of Betsafe

SCAM!!

SCAM!!! They literally stole my money! I placed a bet for (from what I can recall) £10 and won £30 in return. I contacted them to withdraw and they wanted ID that I didn't have.

This is unbelievable!!!! How can they justify this? If it was a security measure to stop underage gambling, why would they not ask for the same ID BEFORE taking my money, or BEFORE allowing me to place the bet. So this argument is null and void! They deliberately had this there to stop people from withdrawing!

If you weren't going to let me have my winnings, at least return my initial deposit/payment!!! This is nothing but theft!!

Now they're restricted access in my country (the UK), so I can't even log in and try and resolve the matter.

This company is dodgy, avoid at all costs!! Do NOT hand over any money to this company because this is unlikely to be their only underhanded tactic to rip you off!

They’ve blocked all apple devices below…

They’ve blocked all apple devices below iOS 17! Terrible practice! Why should I spend £800 every few years on a new phone??? So neither my iPhone or my iPad work on eBay anymore. I’ve started using Amazon instead now!

Review of Machine Mart Ltd

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Poor customer service. Unreliable products (Clarke brand).

I've purchased a lot of equipment from Machine Mart (setting up a workshop). The quality of their own brand products (Clarke) is fairly average. However, the quality of their electrical tools (Clarke brand) is very poor!

I've purchased numerous Clarke tools including a Mig welder, drill, sander, jigsaw and a few other tools. All of which have developed problems or completely failed within 1 - 2 years of use (yes, all of them!). I purchased a number of Bosch and Silverline tools at the same time and they're still going strong.

Upon returning items (within the guarantee period), they seem to make the process far more difficult than it needs to be or they try to blame wear and tear. My welding machine (151en) developed a fault within a month of purchase. The welder was sent off for repair and came back with the same fault.

Where I felt most let down is on their website. I spent time reviewing all of my purchases to help other buyers. Most of the reviews were good (before problems developed) but some weren't. However, all my reviews were polite, honest and fair! Machine Mart only published the good reviews and deleted the poor to average reviews on their website. I think picking and choosing reviews is intentionally misleading the customer.

Overall, my experiences with this company have been pretty poor and I no longer shop there.

Excellent for price and customer…

Excellent for price and customer service.

However, website IMPROVEMENT ARE NEEDED!...
Searches often return irrelevant results.
Descriptions on items are often incorrect.
Descriptions and technical information is often limited, requiring a store visit and the need to view various items (which wastes everyone's time).

Also, items are quite often out of stock.

Sneaky trap

They were cheap until I switched to a smaller vehicle, smaller engine with significantly lower insurance grouping. Everywhere I checked, my new vehicle was much cheaper to insure than the old one. They increased my insurance by £30 per month. Even the customer service staff couldn’t offer an explanation for this but I stood to lose even more for cancelling my existing policy. Just be sure that you’re not going to make any changes before you insure with them.

In response to Dialdirect: I’ve already tried numerous times to get this resolved.
