BEWARE

Having tried numerous times to speak to Customer Service without success. I have now given up as they only have an answer machine. I have seen that they have over 100 complaints on Trustpilot, which doesn’t give me any confidence that I will receive any shoes/boots. If for any reason, I have a problem I can’t see how they would address it as when I tried to email them it bounced back. A shame really as they have nice shoes and boots.

So glad I read the reviews about this company before placing an order with them.

It’s seems they do not adhere to any return policies. Glad I gave them a miss and saved myself all the hassle people seem to be getting regarding items returned.

DISGUSTING

Robert Jenrick can only be described as a despicable human being. Treating asylum seekers in such an appalling way. He has decided in his Conservative wisdom to stop charities supplying clothes, haircuts and instructing wall paintings for children to be taken down.
I think we need a Change.org petition to try and stop your disgusting decisions.
These people are not like you with three houses to choose from to live in.
I can’t wait for an election to get this Conservative government out.
This government are a load of overgrown school boys trying to bring this country to it knees. It’s time we got them out of power

PROBLEM

I would have given this company a zero if I could have. The following reason will be explained.
1. Purchased a pair of boot slippers but due to my son not being able to get them on. I could only try one slipper over his toes on one foot as he could not stand up to try them on himself.
2. I package them up and sent them back.
Ten days later I rang to see where my refund was and they told me they had not received them.
3. The company then asked for proof of sending them back. This is what I can’t understand is don’t they have a system in place for returns?
4. Once again I called and spoke to a person who told me that a member of staff put them aside and went on holiday. Next they told me they were marked and could not be refunded. They then told me they had tried to get the marks out. A few days later they sent the slippers back to me.
I rang and told them that my hands were clean and that I had tried them just over my sons toe on one of his feet so how come both slippers were marked? One slipper wasn’t even taken out of the box.
These slippers came to me in the same condition as I sent them back, and I would not have even noticed the marks they were talking about due to eye problems.
My son had just come out of hospital with back problems and could not even stand up to try them on.
I have purchased from other companies over the years and I have never had a problem. I thought I would give this company a try for a change, but I have now gone back to Footwear4You who sell beautiful leather and sheepskin slippers/shoes from Sweden and are of much better quality than the pair I had from this company.

Please note if you receive slippers or any other item from this company take a photograph incase you need to send them back.
I have now given the slippers to a charity shop as they did not fit my son and hope that someone else might find a use for them, but it has cost me £40 in the process and I also needed to purchase another pair of slippers for my son.

TERRIBLE SAMSUNG PRODUCT

I would have given no stars if I could have.
Please don’t buy a Samsung American fridge freezer as it’s not fit for purpose.
I paid £1,699 for the above item and it only lasted 4 years. It was a gift for my son who was moving into his first house. The engineer who called to fix it explained that it’s a common fault which causes a water leak. He explained that when this happens it can’t be fixed. My son has now been left without a fridge freezer for 10 days and will now need to buy a new one.
My advice would be to give Samsung a miss and look at other manufacturers.
DON’T buy this appliance and save your money.

EXCELLENT HILLS WASHING LINES

This company are excellent regarding customer service. I purchased a rotary line in 2016. Now fast forward to 2023 I contacted Hills to inform them that the winding ratchet would not extend the line. After sending a copy of the receipt (which I kept as there was a 10 year warranty) they replaced the line within a few days.
I think that is excellent considering the rotary line was 7 years old. They are so confident that their lines are worth the money they give a 10 year warranty.
I would like to thank Nick and Luke for promptly answering my emails within 24 hours and emailing me to say when the line would arrive.
Their rotary lines are well worth the money as they are very strong and sturdy.
My motto is the quality is there long after the price is forgotten. Hills are an excellent company give them a chance you won’t be disappointed.
Once again, thank you Nick for overseeing from start to finish regarding my complaint. Very very good service.

Disappointing

Really disappointing that the building blocks were all stuck together with great difficulty separating them as it seemed they were put together while the paint was still not dry. Usually their quality is very good but not on this occasion.
I have tried to contact them by phone without much success.

LUCKY ESCAPE

Really glad I read these reviews. I cancelled my engineer appointment with Equinox and informed D&G that under no circumstances did I want one of their engineers to call.
I would say I can’t understand why they do not do repairs onsite when visiting customers who have been referred by D&G.
I think D&G need to think very hard before appointing such a company to do repairs.

Poor Quality

I have lost two brass buttons on a mac I purchased from Joules. I contacted Joules who explained to me that they do not stock or supply extra buttons.
Joules should look on Facebook and see the number of people who are asking if anybody can tell them where they can obtain Joules buttons to repair there macs and coats.
I have just received a beige mac which I ordered from Joules, but have now decided that I don’t want a mac that I can’t repair for the sake of a button.
Joules please up your game and supply spare buttons.

Dissatisfied

I purchased a twin dos washing machine which is still under warranty.
1. The bottom part where the twin dos clicks in started leaking after only two years. This was replaced but now I noticed that the machine has started to rust.
2. I purchased a Miele tumble drier also which need a new heating element after two years.
I wish that I had kept my AEG which was only 8 months old. My son was moving into a new house so I decided to give him my washing machine. I then purchased a Miele because of the hype that this machine lasted years. How wrong I was to paid £1,200 for this machine. My previous machine at my sons house has not had any repairs. Never again will buy AEG next time.

I would give no stars for this company…

I would give no stars for this company if I could for the following reasons. Fitbit authorised a refund of £88.00 due to an error on their part. I received a credit note for the overpayment of a Fitbit Sense. Digital River sent me a credit note for the amount owed to me but that’s it. No telephone number to contact them as to how I would be able to get my money back. This company are appalling and as far as I am concerned cannot be trusted to follow through anything efficiently.
To-date I have made a complaint to Fitbit regarding this company.
Look at all the bad reviews. This will give you an idea as to how this company runs it’s affairs.
Stay clear is my advice if you don’t want to loose your money.
The Digital River company I am talking about are based in London. One more thing, why has this company no contact number.

Without your order information the team I would have look into this can't give me specifics, but it's possible the credit note you are referring to is a credit invoice that comes after a refund is issued. Generally a refund will arrive in 5-7 business days for a credit card, or 14 days for a wire transfer.

DISGUSTING SERVICE

I ordered a monsoon top via the Debenhams website. The top came and it was too big. PROBLEMS galore as I tried to return the item to Monsoon as instructed on the Debenhams website (return to concession) they told me that because I ordered it from Debenhams it was nothing to do with them. They explained how can you return an item to us if you have purchased from Debenhams. The truth of the matter is they didn’t want to know. The portal on the Debenhams website doesn’t work (I wonder why). I am now left with a top that cost almost £50 that doesn’t fit. Sent emails but no answer.
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. ONE THING FOR CERTAIN YOU WON’T GET YOUR MONEY BACK.

Poor Quality

I purchased three range cooker towels. Two were gifts and I kept the last one for myself. I found the towel part very thin and after one wash I decided it looked as if it was an old towel and needed replacing. The stitching came apart from the towel leaving the velcro hanging off in parts from the towel.
I contacted Sophie Allport and explained the situation. The young lady on the phone asked if I could send it back, but what with the present situation (COVID) I decided against going to the post office.
My take on this situation would be to buy better towelling. To be honest, I would rather pay extra and have a decent product. I can’t comment on Sophie Allport’s other items. It’s a shame as I liked quite a lot on her website
