Flint and Bishop Solicitors

I recently received a letter from my solicitor about Flint and Bishop Solicitors responded him regarding a bill from SmartestEnergy — a company I have never entered into any contract or agreement with. In their letter, they accused me of owing over £17,000, yet later stated they would “investigate further” to understand why I had been billed in the first place.

This raises serious concerns about their professionalism and due diligence. A competent legal firm should investigate such matters thoroughly before sending out accusatory or distressing correspondence to individuals.

The approach taken by Flint and Bishop has caused me unnecessary stress and harassment over something I have no involvement in. Instead of acting responsibly and verifying the facts beforehand, they appear to have proceeded without proper checks.

I expect this issue to be rectified immediately, and I will be seeking compensation for the distress and inconvenience caused. Both Flint and Bishop and their client, SmartestEnergy, should take responsibility for their actions.

In my personal experience, Flint and Bishop have shown a lack of professionalism and care in handling this matter. I would advise others to exercise caution when dealing with this firm.

SmartestEnergy & Flint & Bishop Review

SmartestEnergy has been chasing me for over a year with a false bill of £17,000 — even though I have never entered into any contract with them. Despite providing evidence, they kept harassing me instead of resolving the issue.

Their solicitors, Flint & Bishop, made things worse by sending threatening letters without checking the facts. Because of this behaviour, I had to appoint my own solicitor, who has already contacted them on my behalf. Once this confirmed that their claim is baseless AS I KNOW IT IS the table will turn and they will be held accountable.

Their actions have caused unnecessary stress and harassment, and they must be held accountable. Unprofessional, careless, and unacceptable.
acting responsibly and professionally, SmartestEnergy and their solicitors have wasted time, ignored facts, and caused nothing but trouble. Their behaviour is unacceptable, and I will continue to share my experience so that others are warned ⚠️

From now on I leave reviews regularly to put off all potential customers to become victims of your crime you committed with others, KEEP AWAY .

Don't pretend that you're sorry I don't need your fake apologies or pre recorded unprofessional message says that you couldn't locate my account you know who I'm at this point, your apology is not working anymore ok? So leave me without your reply I would be much happier.

Please check very recent NORTH NORFOLK NEWS exposed how SmartestEnergy delt with their customers I'm not going mention the name of the person that SmartestEnergy targeted for security reason but, I advise to go check the news yourself she was slapped 24k bill. Its shows how corrupt company SmartestEnergy is.


⚠️ Be extremely cautious dealing with SmartestEnergy.

This company has caused me nothing but stress, frustration, and unnecessary legal headaches. Out of nowhere, they slapped me with a massive estimated bill — despite the fact that I have never entered into any contract with them. For more than a year they wrongfully pursued me for money I don’t owe.

With the help of my solicitor and landlord, it was proven that I do not owe SmartestEnergy anything. Yet they continue to chase me, ignoring all evidence and explanations. Their customer service is appalling — no clear answers, no accountability, and no willingness to resolve the issue properly.

This is not the first review I’ve left, and it won’t be the last. They’ve turned what should be a straightforward matter into a humiliating and exhausting ordeal.

📢 Important: Check the North Norfolk News, where a recent article exposed how SmartestEnergy tried to bill another individual an outrageous £24,000 on an estimate. That speaks volumes about how this company operates.



👉 My advice: think twice before ever engaging with SmartestEnergy. They are incompetent, reckless, and untrustworthy. Save yourself the stress and stay well away from them.

This firm full of donkeys

I have been wrongly pursued by you client SmartestEnergy for over a year regarding an energy contract that I am not liable for. Despite clear evidence that the contract was never in my name, SmartestEnergy instructed their solicitors, Flint & Bishop, to chase me for payment. Now I'm dealing with pure donkeys

With the help of my landlord and solicitor, it has now been confirmed that the contract was signed by someone else (a previous tenant)
My landlord confirmed that the property was vacant from December 2022 until October 2024, so there was no basis whatsoever for SmartestEnergy to accuse me.

Previous tenant explained that he had tried to cancel his contract in cooling off period with SmartestEnergy, but the company failed to acknowledge his cancellation request. Instead, they simply noted that his direct debit was cancelled, which left the contract in dispute.

Despite this, SmartestEnergy and Flint & Bishop repeatedly chased me, causing me significant emotional distress, stress, anxiety, and unnecessary harassment. It is deeply concerning that neither SmartestEnergy nor their solicitors carried out a proper investigation before pursuing me so aggressively, that's why I call them donkeys.

Thanks only to my landlord’s support and my solicitor’s involvement, the truth has come to light. This experience has been incredibly stressful and has shown me how poorly SmartestEnergy and Flint & Bishop handle disputes.

I hope this review helps others to be cautious when dealing with them.

Fantastically corrupt company this is…

Fantastically corrupt company this is SmartestEnergy

Avoid SmartestEnergy at all costs.
Their customer service is unhelpful, their contact numbers are misleading, and communication is evasive. Don’t be fooled by fake-looking reviews — my experience was nothing but frustration. Not a company I’d recommend to anyone.

I strongly advise caution when dealing with SmartestEnergy. Here’s what I experienced:

1. Customer Service – Repeatedly unhelpful and unprofessional. Getting clear answers felt impossible.


2. Misleading Contact Numbers – They advertise UK-based numbers, but calls are routed elsewhere, creating confusion and lack of trust.


3. Suspicious Reviews – Many online reviews look overly positive, but they don’t reflect the reality of the poor service I received.


4. Poor Communication – Requests are ignored or dismissed, leaving customers without proper support.


5. Intimidating Letters – They try to pressure customers, but it’s important to stand your ground and seek proper advice.



Based on all of this, I would never recommend SmartestEnergy. Their approach feels misleading, frustrating, and deeply disappointing.

Flint & Bishop Solicitors – My Experience

Despite repeatedly informing SmartestEnergy that they were pursuing the wrong person and that I have never entered into any contract with them, they continued to chase me. Eventually, they passed the matter to Flint & Bishop Solicitors to act on their behalf.

I don’t care who they appoint — even if it were a barrister — my position remains the same: I have no contractual relationship with SmartestEnergy, and their continued demands are unjustified. If this harassment continues, I will have no choice but to escalate the matter to the Ombudsman or Ofgem.

Based on my experience, Flint & Bishop’s involvement did nothing to resolve the issue fairly or professionally. I would urge others to proceed with caution and keep thorough records of all communications.
Very poor experience with Flint & Bishop.
I received an aggressive demand letter for a large sum on behalf of SmartestEnergy with no prior contact or chance to discuss. The tone was hostile, stressful, and lacked professionalism. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this firm — if you hear from them, keep everything in writing and seek independent.who I assume are debt collectors or solicitors) that you have no contractual relationship with them.
I am writing in reference to the letters and demands you have sent to me regarding an alleged account or outstanding balance with SmartestEnergy.

I have never entered into any contract with SmartestEnergy and have no relationship with your company. I have repeatedly requested that you provide full details of the person, account, and contract you claim I am liable for. These requests have been ignored.

In accordance with my rights under UK law, I require that you:

1. Provide the full name, address, and any contractual documentation that links me to this alleged account.


2. Cease all collection activity until you have provided the requested evidence.


3. Confirm in writing if you are unable to link me to this account so this matter can be closed.



Pursuing me for a debt that is not mine is a breach of the FCA’s Consumer Credit Sourcebook (CONC) guidelines and may also be a breach of the Data Protection Act 2018. If you continue to contact me without providing evidence, I will have no choice but to make a formal complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service and the Information Commissioner’s Office.

I am writing to express my serious dissatisfaction and concern regarding the threatening and unjustified correspondence I have been receiving from SmartestEnergy.

I have never entered into any agreement or contract with your company. Despite this, I continue to receive aggressive and threatening emails demanding payment of a substantial sum, which appears to be entirely baseless. This behavior is not only distressing, but also completely unprofessional and unacceptable.

I demand that SmartestEnergy immediately:

Cease all further contact regarding this alleged debt,

Provide evidence of any signed agreement or contract (which does not exist),

Issue a formal apology for the undue stress and harassment caused by these communications.


If this matter is not resolved immediately, I will not hesitate to:

I will Report this behavior to Ofgem and the Energy Ombudsman,

I will Lodge a formal complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if my personal data has been processed unlawfully,

You pushed me to share my experience with your corrupt company therfore, i share my experience on public review platforms and social media to warn other potential customers.

SmartestEnergy for ongoing harassment, unfounded threats, and clear mismanagement.

For over a year, I have received weekly threatening emails from your company, falsely claiming that I owe money and that you will attend my property to remove my energy meter. Let me be absolutely clear:

I have never entered into any agreement or contract with SmartestEnergy.

I have no outstanding balance with your company.

There is no legal or factual basis for the repeated threats of enforcement or meter removal.

I have responded to your communications on multiple occasions, yet you persist in falsely claiming that I have never been in touch.


This kind of intimidation and harassment is completely unacceptable, and it appears to violate both consumer protection laws and data protection regulations.

If I genuinely owed you money, I would expect a lawful and transparent process — not harassment based on fabricated claims. The fact that this has continued for over a year is disgraceful and deeply distressing.

I hereby demand that SmartestEnergy:

1. Immediately cease all communications and threats relating to this false claim.


2. Provide full documentation of any supposed agreement — which you will not be able to do, because no such contract exists.


3. Formally acknowledge my previous responses and issue an apology for falsely stating that I had not replied.



Should this matter persist, I will escalate this case to:

The Energy Ombudsman

Ofgem

or my solicitor

I will the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) for possible misuse of my personal data

I will also publish my experience on public review platforms to warn others.


I expect this issue to be resolved without delay.


Furthermore, I am placing your company on formal notice that I am seeking full compensation for the distress, inconvenience, and harassment caused by your repeated unlawful and threatening communications over the past year.

Dear Saudi Airlines Customer Service,

I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding my recent travel experience with your airline related to my Hajj flight, which caused me significant emotional and financial distress.

My flight was booked as part of a Hajj package costing £1,914. I arrived at the airport 1 hour and 30 minutes before departure, which I understood to be within the acceptable check-in and boarding window. However, to my surprise, the boarding gate had already closed. Furthermore, the staff at the gate were unhelpful and dismissive in their manner, which made an already difficult situation even worse.

I was later informed that my ticket was a "group ticket," yet I was booked to fly from London, while all my fellow group members were booked to fly from Manchester Airport. If this was indeed a group booking, I would like to understand why I was separated from the group and not assigned to the same departure airport. This discrepancy is critical because it seems to have contributed directly to the problems I faced.

Given the religious and emotional importance of Hajj, this experience has been especially disheartening. I am requesting a full investigation into the following:

1. Why was I booked from a different airport if this was truly a group ticket?


2. Why was the gate closed so early despite me arriving at the airport 1.5 hours in advance?


3. Why was the staff at the gate unhelpful and rude in dealing with my situation?



I kindly request compensation for the flight I missed and for the distress caused, along with a clear explanation of the booking process and responsibility.

I hope you will treat this matter with the seriousness it deserves and respond promptly.

I had to urgently rebook a new flight on the same day, costing approximately £710, and also had to rebook my train tickets, both of which were an unplanned financial burden. This entire situation occurred due to the complete cancellation of my original Saudi Airlines ticket and associated travel plans.

I spoke twice over the phone with a representative named Mr. Ahmed, who was very understanding and apologetic. He assured me that the matter would be followed up, but unfortunately, I have not yet received any official response from Saudi Airlines.

Given the importance and time sensitivity of Hajj travel, this disruption not only caused financial loss but also extreme stress during a critical religious journey.

I kindly request that my case be urgently reviewed and that I be informed of the following:

The reason for the cancellation of my flight

Status of any potential refund or compensation

Reimbursement options for the rebooked flight and train tickets


Please treat this as an urgent matter. I would appreciate a formal response as soon as possible.

Extremely Disappointed – Unjust Charges & Terrible Customer Service

I had a deeply frustrating experience with Wizz Air on my flight from Jeddah to Gatwick on 10th June 2025. Despite arriving at the airport over 5 hours early, I was forced to pay 222.50 SAR simply to print a boarding pass. Initially, the check-in agent demanded 290 SAR, and only after some back-and-forth did they reduce the charge — without any clear explanation.

I was the first passenger at the gate, yet they claimed I was "late" and should’ve checked in 3 hours before the flight. How does that make any sense when I was there FIVE hours early? This was clearly an unjustified and opportunistic fee.

To make matters worse, my 5-liter Zamzam water was lost, and the check-in staff were incredibly rude, unhelpful, and unprofessional. I’ve never encountered such disorganized and disrespectful treatment from an airline staff.

Charging over 200 SAR for a simple piece of paper is outrageous. There was no effort made to understand or assist — just a robotic insistence on charging passengers unfairly.

Wizz Air, this experience was a complete disgrace. You’ve lost my trust entirely, and I will not be flying with you again.

British Gas — you’ve truly earned it.

When I moved into my new flat, I provided an accurate meter reading. But the representative I spoke to input it incorrectly. Despite this, I paid my bills in full, based on my actual readings.

Later, when I switched to Octopus Energy (my current provider), they immediately noticed the readings British Gas had submitted made no sense. At that point, I was already with Octopus, and they had correct, much higher readings. They raised a dispute with British Gas and advised me to wait for it to be resolved.

Meanwhile, British Gas bombarded me with a series of wildly inconsistent bills, including:

£839.75

£64.00

£74.12

£5.27 (claimed as the “final” bill)

£9.52

£13.16

£33.97

£48.73


Seriously — how is anyone supposed to know which of these is real? This level of inconsistency is outrageous.

I paid:

£5.27 for gas

£9.52 for electricity


Both paid by card, on time, in full.

Yet British Gas kept sending new bills, demanding different amounts. When I contacted them to cancel or reverse charges I had already paid, they refused. This, after being their customer for over 15 years.

Worse — they passed false debts to two different collection agencies:

PastDue demanding £74.12

Opos demanding £33.97


With identical references, yet completely different amounts. How does that make sense if either amount were legitimate?

This is not about the money — it’s about principle. I owe nothing. I paid what I should have. But British Gas has chosen to ignore that, harass me, and threaten my credit with fake debts. It’s unprofessional, unethical, and frankly, feels like theft.

No wonder they’re bleeding customers. This is what happens when a company stops caring and chooses arrogance over accountability.

I urge anyone reading this — go elsewhere. There are better providers who actually respect and support their customers.

And British Gas — don’t bother replying with your fake apologies. You had plenty of chances to fix this. You chose not to. You caused me unnecessary stress and anxiety, and I will never return to you — even if I have to live by candlelight.

ULEZ is absolutely nonsense,I've no words.

I just received a pcn letter through the post today 06/11/24 which I went to London to pic up the car, on the way back home to Liverpool the use of a vehicle on a Rd in the charging area Location WELLINGTON RD time was 18:04.
This was my first time I went to London I didn't know about this at all that I'm in title to pay low emission zone charges however, this letter quite disturbed if I don't pay within time scale this pcn of £90 will increase to £170 .
It's through that I spoken to one of those idiots on the phone he sounded he didn't care had no sympathy or any respect, he tried to scammed me but he was unable. I'll ring them tomorrow if they still talking s**t I'll go ahead challenge it because, I bought this car few minutes before I cought by camera on wellington road I guess I couldn't see the sign because of darkness at this 18:04 time. Could've been avoided but because of I never been to London I was unaware this s**t to be honest, I felt disgusted by these scammers horrible people robbing you with unprecedented level. I will going to challenge it if they done nothing will send me more threatening letters, simply ignore them. Please guys don't be scared your voice need to be heard right? So please do be afraid don't give a chance to take advantage of you.

I was expected my passport delivery on…

I was expected my passport delivery on 20th January but I received a text message that my delivery was attempted, when I looked at the picture that wasn't even my address so, I rang TNT to find out why my delivery was attempted to wrong address in the first place, this guy on the phone he was so defensive and never apologised to me the hew talking like the never made any mistake, then I requested my delivery for the next day which he said yes ok he will amended for me for the following day I went back to the original text message I saw amended
for 23th which is Monday he initially promised me for the next day but he delayed for another 3 days. They gave me almost 9 hrs to stay in my home to receive my delivery and all sudden attempted to wrong address. I don't know why HM Passport office on what basis they agreed with TNT are they the best secure and professional delivery service or what? I wouldn't be surprised if they delivered someone else ID or PASSPORT to wrong address, despite I paid £16 for my delivery and caused me my time, stress and waste of my money. I hope HM passport office change this delivery service with immediate effect cause, that bad they are customer service as bad as the delivery service, HM PASSPORT they charge customer for delivery they need to hire a better company I'm sure there are much better and secure delivery services out there, I found out so pathetic.

It's very hard to understand them and…

It's very hard to understand them and when you talk about the package i mean the price they give you wrong prices all the time its super confusing. This company has gone from bad services now getting worse by day to day.
I don't understand why this company setups a phone centre abroad, if a company has customers in the UK why they don't setups a phone centre in the UK you then understand them well. I got to tell you this you expect to gain customers service this way no chance perhaps you cutting corners you are losing your valuable customers. The services is very bad I mean extremely bad. this is what I experienced,before you are intending to call them make sure you have 3 to 4 hrs a head to understand them. Also, put your phone on recordings mode whilst you talk to them cause, when you give them a call they changes there prices cause, they are not stand on words. Please I advise go somewhere else keep miles away from this horrible customers service westing people.time.
