Genuine parts, rubbish service
I ordered parts from Hotpoint to make sure I got genuine parts. Parts may be genuine but the customer service is appalling. When you order it asks for your email and mobile number so it can send you progress updates on the order - no updates are received! Trying to speak to anyone is near impossible. I phoned at 8.27am on a Friday - went through the convoluted process of saying why your phoning, press 1, press 2, etc - 3 minutes in total - to be told the office closed and phone back when open at 8am - well it's 8.27am! Tried to do online chat during opening hours for the system to say 'I'm sorry we are unavailable', 'Chat ended'. After many calls finally got through to someone who coughed all the way through the call and said the parts had been dispatched (three days after they were ordered) and sent by MyHermes(!) - really? Who sends anything by MyHermes (unless you're an eBay seller)?! Parts arrived, poorly packed. Tried again to speak to someone to ask a question to be told, "Offices are closed" (not according to the website or even the phone line), phoned again to be told, "Unable to complete your call, try again, goodbye". Did online chat when it said it was open for the system to say, "Unavailable". Finally gave up! So if you're thinking of buying from Hotpoint, don't think you'll get any order updates, expect the parts to be sent by MyHermes and poorly packaged, don't think you'll be able to speak with anyone and don't think you're going to get any sort of customer service. I'm now waiting for the stock response asking me to 'reach out' to them with a social media link so they can investigate - all the information is in this review for them to be able to investigate (as well as other people's reviews) - just fix your poor systems, poor processes and poor service.
