Stop with the brainwashing!

Stop with the brainwashing!
Email after email, notification after notification - everyone pointless! Whoever thought this was a good idea seriously needs to look again. Emails with 'you've got three days to do this homework, encourage them to do it' are absolutely pointless and put stress on people! Coupled with the fact our school uses another app as well as this site, it's multiple emails and notifications every day - the easiest option is turn off every notification and every email mark it as spam - quite capable of managing my own diary and work my children need to do! As for the content, who writes this? If you're a school looking at using Sparx make sure you know exactly what you want and question the sales pitch they'll no doubt give you.

Zero stars

Zero stars, 10 out of 10 for expensive prices. It's the year 2025 yet the experience, quality and prices are that of 1985. I can only assume schools use Tempest as they get commission and don't work in the private commercial world. Better quality from a phone. It would be better for schools to use a local photographer, pay a reasonable day rate, and provide every child with a usb stick of all their photos for a reasonable price. That way it would be cheaper, supporting local photographers, better quality photos, images provided instantly, cheaper for parents and no need for the photographer to store any personal details or even the images. I'm expecting a standard response to say sorry you're disappointed, contact us, all of our photographers are carefully selected, and the process I've described isn't possible.

Online portal - designed by Microsoft FrontPage

Online portal - seriously? It's 2025, not 1995. A bad experience, badly designed, not thought through. Seriously behind the times and stuck in the dark ages. Designing online systems is not difficult, it's the norm, yes protecting data is crucial, but come on Scottish Widows your online system is diabolical.

Asda Crewe

Asda Crewe. I didn't have a pound coin for the trolley. Yes, my fault. Asked so called customer services for help, when eventually served they said couldn't help speak with someone collecting trolleys. Found someone smoking who said he was working but couldn't help. Asked security told nope can't help. Went back to car drove a few minutes to Tesco, who immediately got me a trolley, spent £284. Your loss Asda

Sandbach opticians

Sandbach opticians, appalling customer service. Actual optician ok. Shop assistants bad service. They don't understand insurance regulations. Tried to make a claim on boots insurance policy to be told they can't help as didn't buy spectacles from their branch. Terms and conditions says go to any boots opticians. Sandbach branch said they are a franchise and would loose money. Yeah well that's was insurance is all about Mr Retailer, you take the rough with the smooth. SANDBACH branch avoid unless you want bad service.

Unfortunately can't leave a zero rating. I saw driver walking about with a parcel. By the time I got outside he was empty ended. When I asked what house he wanted he confirmed it was mine but it was my fault there's no door numbers on houses and he couldn't find my house or the street so dumped the parcel outside another house. Firstly, my house and neighbours do have house numbers, I can only assume this driver's van doesn't have sat nav as no other courier has problems finding my house or street. When I asked him to get my parcel and deliver it to my house he looked surprised and couldn't understand what the problem was. Delivery photo clearly shows wrong address and street and dumped! Told the retailer to stop using DPD.

Lies lies and more lies

Lies lies and more lies. Two parcels in a week. Both left outside. On both deliveries driver says I signed for them and they were handed to me. I like to know how when there was no one in the house. Photo of delivery even shows parcel left outside a shut door. Email to complain get a response saying thanks for your feedback despite asking for a copy of the signature. If a company says they're going to send your parcel by DHL tell them not to bother!

Zero stars.
Had a delivery time notification of early evening both by email and the app. During the day no one at home. I get a notification that my delivery has been delivered, received by me and signed for by me. I like to know how when no one at home. They attach a photo of the parcel left outside with the door closed. Tried to get in contact with DHL which is impossible. Online chat said nothing to do with them and ended the chat. Emailed to get a response saying they'll respond in one day. Useless. Parcel outside, driver lied saying I received parcel. I've emailed the CEO of the retailer which uses DHL and recommended they ditch DHL

BT use Qubegb - don't bother

BT outsource their BT Home Tech service to Qubegb. My best advice if it's suggested that someone from Qubegb attends then say don't bother. 'Engineer' was rude and couldn't wait to leave. All he was interested in was what the speed was to the house. The all idea of Home Tech is to set up the house the best way to get the best from WiFi. He changed one setting on my router then left. He wasn't interested in anything like hybrid connect or the WiFi extenders. Put simply the 5 mins he was in my house was a complete waste of time and the setting he changed causes me more hassle. I'm tech savvy, just a pity this engineer wasn't. If I wanted to know the speed to my house then I would insist on an Openreach engineer not a so called expert who's job it is to set up your house setup the best way. Why BT would damage their reputation by using this company is a mystery. So if a BT Home Tech is on the cards ask first will it be from this company, if it is then really don't bother.

This is the worst app ever

This is the worst app ever. A school student on a one week work experience could do better. Customer service appalling. I have five profiles set up, I log into today to find two of them have gone. Customer services response is that I must have malware on my device. Whatever! I was going to ask to speak to someone who knew what they were talking about but then I thought what's the point as no one at Disney is interested. Best option available, cancel subscription.

Same league as Yodel

Same league as Yodel. Parcels left outside in the rain. Not once, but twice. Laptop with Dell plastered all over the box left outside in full view of the road in the rain. Would I recommend UPS, not a chance.


I've now seen the reply from UPS. How can we improve our experience? Quite simple really, I thought a courier would know this... Don't leave parcel outside in the rain.

Zero stars. Fitbit, absolute rubbish.
Overpriced rubbish. Badly designed app. Constantly disconnects from fitbit, says device not close enough when it couldn't be any closer, when it does connect it's just rubbish. Online chat is diabolical and useless, they have no idea. Avoid this overpriced junk and the worse app in the world.

Should be zero stars

Should be zero stars. Sandbach Hay's Travel, seriously what is the point of this shop? I thought it was a travel agent. How wrong I've been. Sandbach store often doesn't open on time or closes early and on some days doesn't open at all.

I went in and it was very clear I was interrupting two members of staff chatting about their personal lives and I was an inconvenience.

I explained I was looking for a luxury holiday overseas and gave a few suggested countries to celebrate a family event. I was shown what can only be described as disgusting one star (and that's pushing it) hotels - not luxury, more like condemned. When I asked about flight times, etc, the assistant said "oh you want me to look at flights too?". Seriously?!

I said it wasn't what I was looking for and left. As soon as I got up out of the chair she carried on chatting with her colleague about her personal life.

I went to TUI, received fantastic service and a discount.

Foolishisly I returned another day and asked about Disney Orlando. They had no brochures and couldn't help.

Nevermind, went to TUI, great service and another discount.

I really don't see the pont in Hay's Travel - never open, customers an inconvenience, don't listen to what customers want and overpriced rubbish.

Sandbach B&M poor service and no price tags

Sandbach B&M one till person in particular is very rude. She does not know the words, 'please' or 'thank you'. Not a one off either. Have been served many times by her, still rubbish service. Saying, "your receipt" is not saying thank you.

Also many and I mean a lot of items with no prices. When I ask for a price I'm told to go to the tills. There I find long queues so simply dump my basket and go elsewhere.

Genuine parts, rubbish service

I ordered parts from Hotpoint to make sure I got genuine parts. Parts may be genuine but the customer service is appalling. When you order it asks for your email and mobile number so it can send you progress updates on the order - no updates are received! Trying to speak to anyone is near impossible. I phoned at 8.27am on a Friday - went through the convoluted process of saying why your phoning, press 1, press 2, etc - 3 minutes in total - to be told the office closed and phone back when open at 8am - well it's 8.27am! Tried to do online chat during opening hours for the system to say 'I'm sorry we are unavailable', 'Chat ended'. After many calls finally got through to someone who coughed all the way through the call and said the parts had been dispatched (three days after they were ordered) and sent by MyHermes(!) - really? Who sends anything by MyHermes (unless you're an eBay seller)?! Parts arrived, poorly packed. Tried again to speak to someone to ask a question to be told, "Offices are closed" (not according to the website or even the phone line), phoned again to be told, "Unable to complete your call, try again, goodbye". Did online chat when it said it was open for the system to say, "Unavailable". Finally gave up! So if you're thinking of buying from Hotpoint, don't think you'll get any order updates, expect the parts to be sent by MyHermes and poorly packaged, don't think you'll be able to speak with anyone and don't think you're going to get any sort of customer service. I'm now waiting for the stock response asking me to 'reach out' to them with a social media link so they can investigate - all the information is in this review for them to be able to investigate (as well as other people's reviews) - just fix your poor systems, poor processes and poor service.

Poor service at Northwich town centre…

Poor service at Northwich town centre store. On 26th Oct at around 12.45pm. Staff didn't know how the app worked. One staff member quite rude and when i asked about the app she then pretended she couldn't hear. Plenty of competition in Northwich so no need to shop at Greggs.
