Belated review

This is a belated review. They helped me back in 2020 and were fantastic. I have just referred you to a friend and thought I'd pop a review in as well.

Review of Stowe Family Law

Very concerning

Very concerning, after making an Artice 17 request to delete my personal data, the firm ensured it was deleted immediately, yet several days later they were found to be still processing it. They have tried to claim that even though they confirmed it was deleted under my Article 17 request, that they had some sort of right, based on ICO guidance, that they can keep processing it for up to 30 days. Seriously... this is supposed to be a law firm!

SINCE THEIR RESPONSE 3/10/2024
Stowe Family Law have now tried to have my review removed, asking for 'more details' to 'help find my case'. KNowing that if I do not reply, the review gets deleted.

For the record, I asked them to remove my personal data after they kept texting me. I had initially sent a message for some advice and seeking a call back. When they messed that simply process up, I told them I no longer wanted their services and to remove my details from their system. They promises they would.

Days later, I got more unsolicited messages, I told them in no uncertail terms they were now breaching GDPR.

They appologised and said, "I WILL ENSURE YOUR DETAILS ARE REMOVED FROM OUR SYSTEM IMMEDIATELY.”.

Unbelievably, days later, they contacted me again and even called me, referring to information in my previous emails and mesaages, proving they had not been deleted.

When I made a formal complaint, they said, "We have 30 days to remove the data".

NO, you don't!

30 days is ICO guidance for the max time you should respond to an Article 17 request. That 'response window' is to acknowledge and confirm if and "WHEN" the Article 17 is complined with, i.e. when the data will be removed

By saying it is removed immediately, you have formally notified me you HAVE complied with it. You do not have any lawful right to continue processing any personal data AFTER confirming it is deleted. You are a law firm, this is pretty simple stuff, if you cannot follow basich GDPR laws and ICO guidance, god help anyone providing sensitve data to you.

You did not take GDPR seriously, your response is nothing more that lip service, to mitigate negative reviews. You breached my personal data, you are trying to now justify the breach rather than admitting to it. You are a law firm and should know better.

DON'T Trust Pilot

slow to respond to published defamatory comments about our business, if you were to pay trustpilot, they would of course act quicker so it feels like a form of blackmail... Pay or or we allow your business to be targetted.

Awful police force

Awful police force. Corrupt to the core. Allow malicious communications to be posted about me and do nothing to help. Refuse to investigate their own officers for wrongdoing. Now they allow malicious communications about me on their Trustpilot. No wonder the UK has a dim view of police.

Review of Rutherfords Bailffs and Collection Services Ltd

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Devious and lies from a Bailiffs

Not recommended. They were tasked with a simple collection, supported by a CCJ and a high court writ. They had the debtors name, address, car reg, place of work and still failed. Why? Because the agent assigned to my case was 'off work' and they never thought to check his emails or assign it to someone else. They claimed he was the 'best for the job' even though he was off and not able to do the job! I provided them directly with daily movements of the debtor and they never once told me they were ignoring this info and the agent was off, I was left running around getting this info that was really their job, not mine. Now the debtor has moved on and I am not able to find him, Rutherfords have given up and I am now seeking my losses from THEM via the Civil Courts. I put them on notice of my claim, rather than try to help, they hired a BULLY Solicitor who sent a threatening letter, stating I had no claim due to Privity of Contract (i.E. , saying I did not have a contract with them, saying the contract was a debt collector who referred it to them on my behalf). The Solicitor thought he was being smart but failed to realise that Privity of Contract will not work as, if I was expressly named in the contract or writ, or can show I was giving direct instruction to the bailiff (which I was) then this now falls under the reform of the Privity of Contract which is the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999. So rather that just bite the bullet and admit they made a mistake or tried to negotiate an amicable solution, Rutherfords decided to try to use threatening legal letters to block my claim. I would never recommend this firm, if it is not an easy 'on a plate' collection they could screw you over like they tried with me. I am happy to negotiate a solution but they now ignore emails leaving disgruntled clients referring to reviews.

They also replied to another review stating they never ignored emails! This was a lie, they promised a response I I had to chases them for 8 days, even getting onto the referring debt collector who reported my complaint to them.

Then in the other review, they blame the delay on COVID-19... what a joke, this incident spans almost the last 12 months, the case was handed off in February, before COVID so they will use anything to lie.

Hello Paul
Thank you for leaving the review, I can confirm we would never ignore your emails at all, due to the situation the country is in we are not working normal office hours at the moment, we also only received your email this morning along with some others over the easter break, everything is being dealt with and reviewed.
We are certainly not blaming COVID 19 but when we have only received your emails over the past couple of days and one again this morning we havent had the time to reply as of yet.
Im sorry you feel this way but due to the fact we will not dicuss cases via any social media of any sort we will not be commenting on your case and will be contacting you directly in the correct manner
Thank you.

LIES - Very angry

Very angry.

I called Adrian Flux insurance for an insurance policy for my son who is a new driver. After getting a quote from MoreThan, I called Adrian Flux who were a bit dearer (about £200). They totally miss-sold the policy to me. They lied about their policy and their 'smart box'.

They also made some serious libel remarks about MoreThan saying that MoreThan charge £80 to remove their tracker. This is true, but only if you want them to remove it. You can keep it after the policy expires or remove it yourself (a simple process). If you want an engineer to visit your home and do it for you, yes, they will but for a cost. This is the same as the 'smart box' which is self installed and SELF REMOVED by Adrian Flux!

I asked Adrian Flux if the smart box offered real-time tracking (like the far more advanced black box by More Than) was real time tracking. They answered YES.
THIS IS A LIE and I only found this out after parting with almost £1,700!

I asked if I was concerned where my son was if he was not answering his phone, can I find the car, they answered YES.

This is a LIE. The tracking is only available the next day. Unless the vehicle has been an accident or the panic button is pressed.

It was made clear that it was a REAL TIME TRACKER. It is not, yet Adrian Flux were 'more than' happy (pun intended) to LIE TO ME and BAD MOUTH the competition.

If you lie to them (or any insurance company) on your policy, believe me, you WILL be penalised, but Adrian Flux are happy to lie to you.

Take what they say with a pinch of salt, LIE LIES LIES

Edited since the response from Adrian Flux.

You have implied that you cannot find my details, utter rubbish. My name is pretty easy to find as I also have motorcycle insurance through you which I will not be renewing. You have already been in contact with me admitting the insurance policy was mis-sold and offering me a full refund and cancellation. I do NOT Accept this. I paid for a policy that has a live tracker, if you cannot provide one, they you can simply purchase one off the shelf and provide it. You are legally bound by the contract formed and PAID FOR, and I will seek legal action if I do not get what was promised to me as part of the near £1,700 paid!

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your feedback. I am very sorry to hear about the issues you have experienced and would appreciate the opportunity to investigate your son's policy. I have sent you a message asking you to contact me as I am unable to trace the policy from the information supplied.

If you provide your son's details I will ensure that his file is reviewed and you are contacted as soon as possible to discuss the matter.

Kind regards

Simon

Website Take down by Slater & Gordon.

This is a valid and honest review. We are the recipients of the take down request so have 'used' their services!

Slater Gordon undertook a take down request on a website for a client of theirs and have been reported to the legal ombudsmen for this.

They did not apply the correct checks before sending the request.

The take down is designed to safeguard, not to intentionally disrupt a website that publishes factual information.

The website will not be named, but google will help you.

Legal advice is being sought AGAINST Slater & Gordon for their actions.
