Excellent customer service - thanks to Julie

On Saturday 12 June, I decided to purchase a dress for for a wedding in three weeks! A huge thank you to Julie (Watford store) for her patience, encouragement and suggestions in helping a reluctant shopper to find a lovely gown. When I said I needed a second opinion before making a decision, Julie suggested returning the next day with a friend even though there were no appointments available. On my return Julie was again very helpful despite having another appointment/ customer.
Thanks also to Caroline for her reassurance around alterations.

It was worth taking a chance on this company

I was reluctant to order from this company having read many critical reviews. However Plants Galore was the only company who stocked the shrubs that I was looking for. The service from start to finish was faultless. I received two very healthy shrubs at an excellent price in a short period of time! I will definitely purchase for this company again.

Poor plants and service - plants ( 5 Astilbes) dead on arrival

I received 10 plants (Hostas & Astilbes). The quality of the Astilbes were very poor - there was no sign of life/growth on any of the plants, bar one plant with a broken twig.When the Astilbes were removed from the pots, the soil fell apart, although I still put the contents of the pot in the soil. I emailed the nursery and received a response stating "The Astilbe had ... been cleaned up and repotted ....(and) .. that shoots are emerging from the crowns. It is still only April and many plants have not yet got going."
However there were NO SHOOTS EMERGING when I received the plants arrived and It is NOW MAY and as expected all the 5 plants have died!
I am giving 2 stars because 3 out of 5 of the Hostas were okay.
I'm a keen gardener, buy many plants on line and this is the worst quality of plants I have received to date.

Providing excellent customer service even in trying times ..

A huge thank you to GymKit UK ( a special mention to Kerri) for honouring the lower cost of an item on their website, and processing and delivering the order in super fast time, despite the current Coronavirus challenges - impressive.
The item, a great quality gym mat (identical to the professional mats at the gym), will be a welcome addition to a homebased fitness regime.

Habitat offers a great online shopping…

Habitat offers a great online shopping experience. The website has a good range of contemporary items. Ordering is easy and goods are delivered promptly; any unwanted items are collected for returns.. Recent purchases include picture frames, bedding and xmas decorations to go with my Habitat side tables, lighting and cushions!

Not up to the usual Habitat standard

Unfortunately both lampshade stands were faulty, so have to be returned. The marble base on one stand was damaged, whilst the screw on the brass pole was too short to secure to the marble base on the other stand. I suspect that this stand had already been returned by another customer given the state of the packaging. All very frustrating because the time and mess caused by unpacking, trying to construct and repacking the parcels; the already damaged polystyrene packaging went everywhere!
On a positive note the customer service experience (ordering, delivery & returns) was excellent.

Fabric swatches - not received

Fabric swatches - not received.
I have attempted to obtain a fabric swatch from FV on 3 separate occasions: twice online and once through a customer service complaint and still it did not materialise. I have taken the risk of ordering the armchair which I may have to return.
I had a similar experience with FV, but I was able to go directly to the manufacturer, Parker Knoll, who promptly sent the swatch.
Do FV really provide a fabric swatch service and does good customer service exist outside of the in store/online purchase - not in my experience!

'Exploding' Puro glass table and poor customer service

I have purchased the Puro nest of glass table, one of which 'exploded' shattering into numerous pieces. The sound of the table 'exploding' was so loud that I thought it was a gas explosion; the force was such that glass shards were embedding in my wooded floor and plastered wall. I cannot account for why this happened and the smaller tables in similar positions have remained intact. I called customer service - the call was rerouted to Dwell's Banbury store where I spoke to someone (Sara) who was helpful and asked me to provide photos of the table which she kindly forwarded to customer services. Since the matter has been with customer services, I have had to chase customer services for a) a response - which to date has not been received, b) to arrange collection of the remaining 2 tables and c) for a refund - which I am awaiting. Despite being told on three separate occasions that I would be contacted by customer services this has not happened. I am really disappointed with customer services, particularly given the nature of my complaint and the likelihood that this could have caused injury, not to mention the hours it took to clear away the glass. As a result, Dwell has lost me as a customer.

Excellent service and great blinds

Excellent service and great blinds, however I would have preferred just one slat rather than 2 where the blinds end. That aside I would have no hesitation in recommending the company.
