I ordered two items from the UK and was…

I ordered two items from the UK and was told it would be here by mid February. I leave for my wedding in Jamaica on 2 March. Only one item has arrived, the shipping notice even shows there's only one item in there. My emails are being ignored and when I speak to online chat, one minute I'm told the second item is on the way, the next I'm told it's been delivered. As I've said multiple times and sent the proof of, only one item was sent! No refund or apology for the item I'm now missing for my wedding.

Great internet, awful customer service

I have been a customer of Hyperoptic for 6 years at two addresses. Their internet is very reliable, but their customer service is ATROCIOUS. Every time it's come to renewal time they ALWAYS favour new customers over loyal customers. Every single time I have had to fight to get a deal even close to what they are offering new customers online. Today was the final straw. My renewal went from £20 a month to £29 a month, whereas new customers can get it at the same price I currently have it via Money Saving Expert (£19.99). So 50% cheaper than they want a loyal customer to pay. The agent was like a robot "no sorry we can't offer you that it's on an affiliate website". When I say I'd like to cancel, no sorry, no further offers of what they can do for us, nothing. Just ok I'll process your cancellation it'll be completed in 30 days. A customer of 6 years just thrown away because they can't keep their prices consistent. We will never use them again nor recommend them to anyone in our block.

While we understand where you are coming from as a long time and loyal customer, we also believe that, since new customer promotions are a standard of the internet service providing industry, we have a fair balance between the available deals and seasonal promotions for both, and existing users equally. What we mean by this is the following - Every customer is or was a new customer at some point. If you joined us years ago in the past, you also had a new customer promotion with which you started the service, and every new customer starting now, will have an existing customer renewal deals further down the line when this new customer promotion for them expires.

Having said that, of course we would like to investigate the deals offered to you for renewal, and see what we can do for you in that regards. You can expect an email from us including the renewal deal and promotions, and we hope to turn your experience around. Thank you for your understanding in the meantime!

Traded in my iPhone 13 to Fonehouse. They gave a price online, sent the pack within a couple of days, acknowledged receipt immediately and paid me directly into my bank within 24 hours at the price they agreed. Fantastic service, highly recommended. Better than previous service providers I've used for this purpose, I'll consider them first in the future. Thank you!

Was worried about ordering on…

Was worried about ordering on Justmylook after some of the reviews on here. However, I've now ordered twice and been very impressed. Very good value for money especially considering the free postage after £10. Highly recommended if you're on a budget. Maybe the company needs to make a bit more of an effort to reply to the negative review though and address some of the issues people are raising. But for me no problems so far, will continue to use.

Like many other reviewers my stocks and shares ISA was transferred from Standard Life to Abrdn. I was very sceptical at first as I've been a happy customer of Standard Life for a long time. I spoke to Standard Life about it and they said they had been working as one company for a while, but have now split, so my understanding is our funds were always partly from Abrdn anyway. I called to chase my log on details and the guy I spoke to said he didn't know how long it would be as they were having teething problems with the move. Again, I was sceptical of this and a bit worried. But within about 3 weeks my log on details arrived and I have had no problems since. In fact, my Abrdn log in is actually much more informative than Standard Life's and a much nicer platform. It seems like their communication with the move wasn't great which has meant quite a few bad reviews. But for me, so far so good.

Insane service charge for no service

For the bargain price of £2,500+ per year service charge you too can have a cockroach infestation in your building, rats in the bins, and pigeons keeping you awake all night while pooping everywhere! And as an extra bonus, if you miss providing their heat network provider Ginger Energy with a gas read on one month you can also have the top up fee of £25 per month…despite the fact you don’t get any bills even when you do provide readings! Who wouldn’t want that service?!

Brilliant company!

After a terrible experience with another agency, I can't thank Camp America enough for their service which has been the polar opposite of my previous experience with the other agency. I have been placed at my first choice camp, the Camp America orientation in London was brilliant fun, every member of staff I have spoken to has done exactly what they said they would do, phone always answered straight away...Can't fault them at all so far, two weeks till I fly woo hoo!!!! Highly recommended, true experts in the field.

Bad experience

Had a terrible experience with Americamp. After researching all of the big summer camp agencies in February I decided that Americamp seemed like the organisation for me. I signed up on 7 February after checking their website for age limits as I would be 37 at the time of travel and I knew BUNAC had an age limit. Nowhere did it say there was an age limit on the website or on their T+Cs. Spent an entire afternoon uploading documents and filling in information to continue with my application.

Paid my deposit, and by this point Americamp would have been well aware of my age. I was assigned an Application Coordinator and tried to book my phonecall with her online. It didn't work, so I dropped an email and arranged it over email with her explaining that she had manually booked the appointment for me.

The appointment day and time came and went (10 Feb at 10.30am) and nothing. I left it until around 10.45am as I understand they're busy before emailing. I got an email back at around 12.10 asking if she could call me now and an apology as the appointment hadn't been in her diary (given that she'd told me she'd manually booked it obviously she had forgotten). I replied straight away saying please do. I waited around for almost another half an hour before receiving the phonecall.

After the phonecall being an hour late and making me late for uni it was a complete waste of time. I was told that I would be too old to be approved the visa, and that although they could continue my application it was very unlikely I would be approved (which is a complete joke seeing as I have since been placed with another agency at my chosen camp and received my visa just fine). I was assured that this had also been checked with a manager.

I think that Americamp were either too busy or just couldn't be bothered to deal with me for whatever reason. As mentioned previously I have since been placed at my chosen camp through another agency and had no problems with my visa application at all. I have also spoken to many other people in forums around the same age and older and they have all advised that the visa has no age limit.

My understanding that Americamp could not be bothered to deal with me was solidified when I emailed back my coordinator asking if the age limit would also apply for their Americamp Canada programme as I was still keen to travel with them at the time. I wasn't even given the courtesy of a reply. Terrible terrible service and I certainly would not recommend to any of my uni friends or anyone else for that matter.

The fact that my new agency managed to place me at my first choice camp and my visa was approved without issue shows my age was not the problem. If Americamp don't wish to deal with over 30s I have no issue with that, but state it on your website and don't waste people's time just because you can't be bothered to deal with them. A real shame as they seemed like a great company prior to my experience.

Awful experience

Updated following the response from the company below - wasted my time yet again asking me to write it to them about it then still told me my account will remain closed. I have not broken any rules and they won't even tell you what you're supposed to have done, so how can you discuss it with them? Rubbish service and complete time wasters. Do not use, far better services out there who actually pay you for your time.

Awful experience. I joined within the last month, read through all their terms and conditions and ensured I knew what I was doing. Completed a number of surveys with them over the last few weeks (one being 3 x 100 minutes for a £15 voucher) for absolutely no reason they have terminated my account and are ignoring my requests to review it. I have checked their T+Cs twice more to ensure I'm not missing anything, I have done nothing wrong and have spent all those hours answering questions. Avoid - there are far better service providers for making cash in your spare time.

I love Beer52

I love Beer52! I’ve been with their monthly subscription for 3 months, I’ve also ordered another box and joined their Cyberfest2 last night. Great company supporting small breweries, boxes are always on time and in perfect condition. Great way to discover new beers. Couldn’t recommend highly enough if you’re a craft beer lover. I’ve tried other subscriptions but found the quality of Beer52’s choices to be the best.
