There was no paperwork in the package, so returning it was not a reasonable option and the returns policy is labyrinthine.
I will not be using them again.

Review of DFDS
Yesterday, my wife and I (ages 81 and 70) were treated to an unforgettable ordeal by DFDS staff at Port de Calais. When we arrived we were refused a boarding pass because my phone would not upload the "passenger location form" and eventually sent over to the DFDS office who were unable or unwilling to help. They sent us across to the gendarmerie who escorted us to the UK border force who are outside of the Port fence. The border force checked our passports and Covid papers and passed us to enter the UK. We completed the various port checks until we reached the boat, but when our turn came we were refused access as we didn't have a boarding pass.
We came out of the port and reentered to go through the process again only to encounter the same problem with the first DFDS kiosk attendant: no passenger location form no boarding pass. There was another escorted visit with the gendarmerie to the UK border force where one of the officers was able to get the offending form up onto my phone. We returned to the first kiosk where we now received our boarding pass and proceeded through to the boat.
I now know that UK government instructions to border guards are not to look for passenger location forms if a computer (phone) in not working. The data are all on government computers anyway.
What rankles most, and what we will never forgive is the way the DFDS staff simply abandoned us, an elderly couple with not a second thought to find our own way around the port, between the many huge lorries trundling through the port. As all of them said, "this is what you wanted with your Brexit."
Our grateful thanks do go out to the several local gendarmerie and UK border force who were very polite, kind, helpful and ultimately successful in freeing us from what was looking like becoming a lengthy sojourn in Calais port but eventually resulted in a lost 5 hours that we will never recover.

I gave Novasol 4 stars for the booking experience and now that I have arrived the apartment is very nice.
However, I asked for UK TV and was told to book first, which I did, and on arrival no UK TV.
Also, no Novasol after-service, completely non-existent. I've solved the problem by buying a Chromecast and TVMucho. Not perfect but better than nothing.

This has been my worst ever on-line buying experience. I ordered 2 Eaton recliner chairs 1 was badly damaged and had to be replaced. After a month the replacement broke and the repairman who visited ordered a replacement which I am still waiting for after 3 weeks. I will never use ManoMano again not least because they have no contact details.

I checked this company out and but after checking my site it wanted money to repair what it said it had found. So I checked Trustpilot where there were too many bad reviews for me to proceed. I am now inundated with pop-ups warning me of dire consequences etc.
My advice is, DO NOT GO NEAR THIS COMPANY.

My requests for help to solve this have been met with indifference.
I cannot recommend this company and there are plenty of alternatives.

Although the platform is awful and the ads overly intrusive, the Indy is currently the only national "newspaper" to allow comment - which is lightly regulated - on most news items.
However, recently - perhaps during the election period - something has changed. My postings (probably 2 or 3 a day) have been increasingly unlikely to appear and when they do, sometimes they disappear without trace, no mention of "awaiting moderation". I never breach the Indy's posting policy but I do have strong anti-Tory views.
What has made me suspect a change in policy is that the open channels to Indy staff, to query such matters, have closed.
This may be yet another temporary hiccough in the Indy's struggle towards being a viable website or it may be company policy. If the latter, you can knock two stars from my rating.

It is hard to see how this company is still in business. Yesterday I tried to buy a £300 gift voucher for my daughter and after a lot of false dawns the computer declined my card even though there are plenty of funds.
Today I tried again, this time by phone. I got transferred 5 times and the last said I had the wrong department because I needed the booking number on my ticket.
I'm now looking elsewhere.
