Saltash Store Awful Customer Service

Saltash Store Awful Customer Service. We just did a £200+ shop at this store which was in no way busy. We had a John Lewis voucher to use, but the machine defaulted to our debit card. We asked the cashier to switch it and he said he could but he was too busy (1 person in queue) and to go to customer services. The customer services person gave us a similar useless response that he’d have to re scan everything in our trolley to effect the switchover. Totally unhelpful and rude staff who just want your money and to get you out of the store. Never again!

Use Uber and not these useless idiots

Use Uber and not these useless idiots. Booked a taxi 2 days ago for a 12:25 pick up today. An hour before pick up, I got a text confirming they were coming. 10 minutes after pick up time I phone them as no one turned up. They said they were still trying to assign a driver. Had to cancel and drive as going to a wedding. They let you down time and time again and should not be operating a taxi company.

Prices Great, Service not so great

Booked with Sunshine for 2 years in a row. Definitely great for prices. Not good for post booking assistance, as all you get are recorded messages. We really wanted to check and possibly upgrade 2 rooms ahead of arriving, but got nowhere using their online tools or their phone number. Need to provide better customer service and not rely on chatbots (useless) and faceless recorded messages on the phone. Will probably book elsewhere unless this side of the business improves.

In response to your reply, the chat facility was useless. You just need to make it so that any question can be asked, then a human responds accordingly. That simply did not happen and we tried within those times and several times. Also why can you not talk to anyone on the phone!?

Specifically McDonalds DO NOT USE

Specifically McDonalds. DO NOT USE. Charged £70 for 3 people. 2 were meals and 1 just a burger. All 3 meals came out wrong, 1 missing a burger, 1 (a cheeseburger) missing the cheese and all 3 including items removed at the touchscreen. The collection point was utter chaos. Virtually no seats either. They are ripping people off and cannot get basic selections right. Heard many others complaining too. Save your money!

Faulty Product and extremely poor aftercare

Bought a cantilever 3m parasol off this company. The casing for the winder was cracked and I complained, but they did nothing about it. I asked for the product to be replaced fearing it would lead to problems, but was fobbed off. The thing has now broken just one year later as I thought it would. Shoddy product and extremely poor aftercare service. Don’t buy from them!

PS - despite the reply below, I can travel no emails, nor calls from them, so do not believe they have made any attempt to resolve this. This is their attempt to try and pass the problem back to me, just like they have done since the start. You have my email address from the original order, so please do get in touch.

Covent Garden

Covent Garden: great location, great bar staff, great reception staff. There the greatness stops. Worst tech, 1990’s room cards that drop out after 1 use meaning no access to toilets. TV remote control doesn’t work. Room despite being called superior is basic beyond basic.

Wasted time with this lot. Booked a service with them and paid up front. Received a phone call the day before the service saying they couldn’t honour the booking. Now they expect me to wait 7-10 days for me to get my money back. Am pursuing them for costs and interest on this money. DO NOT USE!

Plymstock Drive Thru Useless

Plymstock: This has to be the worst drive thru of any McDonalds worldwide. 100% of the time you do not get served your food, but are asked to park up. This time not only did we have to park up, but were delivered the wrong food. The female assistant that sorted it out was brilliant, but the male in the payment booth was too busy talking to his mate and took payment for the wrong order. Dreadfully bad drive thru and has been for a long time.

Supplied a faulty Cantilever Parasol…

Supplied a faulty Cantilever Parasol which has a crack on the protective plastic casing surrounding the handle and cord, which could lead to damp getting in and causing the chord to rot. When asked for this to be replaced they refused and have offered nothing by way of compensation. I therefore have paid full price and am left with faulty goods. Seeking recompense through small claims court

Don’t use for White Goods!

I have purchased a washing machine from Amazon and really wish I didn’t. Not only was I not offered the chance to have installation included, nor collection of existing machine, now they have messed me around with the delivery. I booked someone else to install it and now have had to cancel them messing them about too. I now have no idea when the machine will turn up so can’t book the installers again. Been a week without any washing machine and the whole process has been utterly useless. Tried phoning their customer care people and got nowhere. Will never use this company again for purchases like this as other companies provide a far better and more comprehensive service. Amateurs!

Utter Shamble:

Absolutely the worst sports platform on the planet and a total rip off scam! I’ve watched all of Tyson Fury’s fights, used Sky, Virgin and BT. This time I chose this bunch of cowboys. Paid £29.95 and had an evening of broken transmissions and now at 22:28 got no way of watching what I’ve paid for. So TNT it’s a full refund please, or it’s that refund + courts fees + interest at 8% per annum for every day you’ve taken my money. Shambles!

Dreadful negligence and potential danger to life.

What a let down this all really is and quite dangerous. Ordered Insulin from them 12 days ago and now still not arrived and I’ve run out. Supposed to have been delivered yesterday which is still ridiculously late, nothing turned up. Again today and still nothing. I gave them plenty of time to sort this and now, being type 1, I am potentially in danger. This isn’t headache medicine, it’s serious meds. Same happened last month. Will be switching to another service as this is terrible!

Total rip off! They take your money for fully comprehensive car insurance, but when it comes to a totally no fault claim, they do all they can to wriggle out of paying your claim. All of this with 15 years’ no claims bonus. Don’t be fooled by their 98% payout claims it’s A LIE!

Plymstock Cafe A Total Shambles

Plymstock Cafe - This place should be condemned as soon as possible. Absolutely no management, no effective staff and now NO FOOD! And yet still the self service kiosks allow you to select food, drinks etc. Then when you’ve gone through all of that you can’t enter a table number. You go and ask the one available staff member who informs you that the whole process was a waste of time because they are only serving drinks. This is at 17:45 on a Friday. This used to be a very popular cafe, managed brilliantly and with great food at great prices. For about 2 years now it’s been nothing short of an absolute shambles. Don’t waste your time or money. Usually filthy as well.

Plymstock Branch - Dreadfully managed

Plymstock Branch - what a shambles. Called in there this evening to buy 3 meals. Decided to use the App as the self service kiosks we’re out of order. The App took my order and the payment went through as appears on my banking app, but then threw up an error message saying I had to complete the order with a member of staff. Went to the counter whereupon we were ignored for about 10 mins. Then we were told there was a computer outage and no one knew how long it would take to resolve. From this point forward instead of someone in management taking control of the situation, there was just a load of headless chicken behaviour with no one being kept informed of what was happening, when their food would arrive or whether they would get a refund. There seemed to be absolutely no contingency plan and no leadership or customer service as most staff cowered in the kitchen area. Why didn’t someone get a pen and paper, ask the customers what they ordered and then deliver said orders? I had proof of payment on my banking app. Dreadfully managed outlet, won’t be back, but want my refund asap!

Absolute shower of rubbish

Absolute shower of rubbish. No support whatsoever and any requests for assistance just ignored. My account remains hacked and all they have done is suspend it like I’ve done the breaches myself. It’s their security which has failed as all of my other Apps, including other social media platforms, are working perfectly. Unaccountable and useless team of support agents employed here. Time to move away from this ridiculous company, run by a bloke with his head in a vacuum.

Good food and service, but short measures with the Staropramen are a big NO from me. This beer is expensive enough, so I don’t expect to be sold short with too large a head on the pint. I’ll expect a full one next time.
