Unfortunately they gave part of our order to another customer which meant our order was delayed.
Communication is poor as they ignore emails.
When we eventually received our order it was reasonably well made and we were happy with it

Poor compared to other airlines


I have never flown with BA outside of Europe.

We planned to spend several weeks in South Africa, (our first time) and decided to be all patriotic and book our flight to Johannesburg with our national carrier.
£7,500 later me and my wife have club world (business class) tickets to Johannesburg, returning to LHR a few weeks later. It stung a bit when I attempted to choose our seats and was informed that was not included in the fare and I would have to fork out a further £450 to select our seats both ways.

we arrived at Heathrow to check in 3 hours before our departure time and the process was reasonably efficient as was the security fast track.

Their lounge was ok, not particularly comfortable, they have a lot to learn from the Middle Eastern airlines.

When we got to the gate there was no first or business class option to board first, everyone boarded together which meant lengthy queues!

Once on the Aircraft, the staff waved us in the general direction of our seats which I have to say are the worst configuration I have ever seen!

Arranged in three rows of 2 across allowed for a little privacy for the window seats but if the occupant wanted to leave their seat they literally had to climb over the feet of the passenger in the next row!! The same was the case for the 2 seats in the middle row.
I am amazed that when the A380 seat configuration was being designed that somebody somehow thought this was a great idea!

The plastic amenity pouch provided from The White Company was very basic.
BA say they have high speed WiFi on board but frustratingly this was not working.

There was something to be applauded, the food was very good and we enjoyed our dinner & breakfast onboard.

In conclusion I have to say that BA have a long way to go compared to other National carriers.

It’s a shame but it is unlikely that we will be flying with BA in the future.

Ordered the grass trimmer with a…

Ordered the grass trimmer with a battery, they both arrived as promised.
I used the tool for the first time today. Assembly from the box was relatively simple (took about 10 mins).
The trimmer worked really well on some pretty tough weeds and longish grass.
I am Very happy with my purchase.

Be wary

Was offered a 20% discount via email from this company but when I booked an airport transfer with the discount they would not honour it.
Looks like a scam..

Very poor customer service

I have installed warmup in 2 rooms in my house. The app is really clunky and needs a complete revamp.
My 2 thermostats have stopped working with the app. I am relatively good with tech but couldn’t get them working so called theircustomer support to be told (rather curtly) I needed to send the serial numbers to them via email so they can help. I asked if they could get back to me quickly but was told it would be ‘when they got round to it’ several days later I’m still waiting.. from the other reviews I’ve read Warmup staff are poorly trained and give the customer the impression that we are an after sale’s inconvenience.

Must improve security..

Very easy booking experience on the website and very good value parking close to the station. (£28 for 4 days).
Really convenient it Took 1 1/2 hours on the train to Gatwick Airport.

I didn’t read the other reviews about regular car break ins and damage before I booked or I never would have taken the chance. It looks like I was lucky!
I must say the the responses from the company about cars being broken into are a disgrace so I have reduced my overall review to 2 stars although my personal experience was a very lucky 5 stars.
Update May 2024.

This company clearly scammed me

This company scammed me! I bought a business class ticket for my wife with Etihad. The evening before her flight we noticed 1 letter was missing in her middle name so I called Crystal travel and spoke to Daisy Johnson who told me she could sort it for me. She said there might be a name change fee and would call Etihad to find out what it would be. She came back to me and said it would cost £944! I explained that when I originally booked the ticket I Phonetically spelt her name and as such it was crystal travel who had made the error. Daisy said I had to take responsibility for the error but after 20 minutes of pleading my case she offered that Crystal would pay half. I felt I had no choice and paid £472. A few days later I called Etihad directly and asked them how much they had charged to add 1 letter to a middle name, they informed me that changes up to 4 letters would sometimes cost £30 but on my booking ETIHAD had waived the fee. SO CRYSTAL TRAVEL (DAISY) LIED TO ME AND I FEEL SCAMMED ME OUT OF £472. I would like to think that their senior management is unaware that this underhand & seemingly dishonest practice is going on in the name of their company and will intervene to weed out dishonest employees and refund my money.
I believe this was a fraudulent transaction and unless I am refunded in full I intend to take this further.
Update..
After several calls to Crystal travel they offered to refund £300 as a ‘gesture of good will’. I refused this as retaining £172 based on a lie is not good will. They have eventually refunded the full amount.
