Pretty straightforward renewal. Agent insisted on listing a two-day skin infection (took antibiotics) from a year ago as a pre-existing condition on the policy but otherwise an easy process.

Such an arrogant attitude from staff members.

Having received a detailed telephone quotation the previous day, I had an appointment to deliver my watch for service. I was received with the usual gushing attention and seated at a consultation table before being moved to "the Rolex area". Just a different table a few feet away. After logging details, the assistant announced the cost of the service which differed from the price quoted the previous day. No explanation could be given for the increase and the assistant manager was called. When I stated that it was yesterday's price that had brought me in and I had no intention of paying more, this individual, quite charmless and officious, re-stated the fact that I would be paying this increased price if, indeed, I wanted the service to be carried out. It was accepted that it was Winsor Bishop's error but that I would need be the one to pay for it.
I politely asked for the bracelet to be re-attached as I did not want them to do the work and from that point, the attitude of both the assistant manager and the assistant was nothing short of appalling. When the watch was returned to me, it was placed on the table in silence and the assistant simply walked away. All told, a level of arrogance that would be hard to find elsewhere.

Level of arrogance unmatched in my experience

Hopefully you are reading these reviews before ordering.

Ordered and paid for wine on February 1st, acknowledged the following day. Nothing delivered, contacted them ten days later, told the wine was in an order backlog at the suppliers, did I wish to wait or receive a refund. Opted for the refund but all contact lost from that point onwards. Telephone has been dead for months, no reply to emails.
Had to file a case with my card provider and have just received my refund. Throughout this episode, the specimens behind this operation continue to email special offers!

Next time I'll give them a miss

Took my wife's low mileage Mini Cooper to webuyanycar and after inspection the online price was downgraded by £450 to £11200 based on "three paint chips". One was minute and the other two I have been unable to find but the price drop had to be justified. Two days later, sold through Motorway (brilliant by the way), achieving 22% above the webuyanycar offer. Yes, 22%.

Exceeding expectations - by a mile.

I was selling my wife's six years old Mini Cooper, immaculate, one owner but seldom used. Tried the local branch of the one that buys any car but they offered a lot less money than they had indicated online.
Two days later, ran simultaneous "auctions" with Motorway and Carwow. Motorway's app made the photography so easy and created a listing that was much more professional. They then suggested a reserve price £1500 above what I expected and £700 above the parallel reserve. At around 3.30pm on the sale day I received text messages from both platforms to say that the car had sold, in both cases well above the reserves and in Motorways case £760 above their suggestion. So well over £2k better than I initially expected. The dealer was quickly in touch arranging for a driver to collect the following day. When he arrived, I took him for a two mile test drive after which he carried out a fairly thorough inspection before calling the dealer (in N.W. England) to confirm that everything was in order. In the time it took to make the guy a coffee, the money was in our account and he was able to drive off.
I can't speak highly enough of Motorway's service in making the whole process so simple, nor of the dealer and the logistics firm they use for their collections. All in all, a silky smooth operation with an unexpected cash bonus.

Very satisfied in all respects.

I had isolated the problem area so Corgi knew it wasn't desperately urgent. Engineer attended about two days later, ordered the replacement part and returned with it about a week later, all as agreed with me. Fitted new part quickly and tested to see all was well.
My experiences with Corgi, from the occasional call outs and from boiler services is that the engineers they use in this area are a really good group of individuals and this recent problem was dealt with by another such guy.

Two problems, both dealt with successfully.

Two problems to deal with. I had isolated the first and intended calling Corgi when the Covid thing had improved a little but when a second occurred three weeks later, I reported both. Engineer from Gasworks (South East) Ltd attended at the agreed time and returned with the necessary parts the following day to complete the job. As with most of Corgi's sub-contractors, this company is excellent, there is only the occasional one that doesn't quite deserve full marks.

I can obviously only comment on Corgi’s local agent here in Norwich where the overall service and experience are truly first class.

Insurance policies set up under difficult circumstances.

Have taken out three insurances with LV in the past week, two car renewals and a new home and contents policy. I would not go to the extreme of five stars as there were a few areas of difficulty in agreeing premiums but considering this took place under the cloud of the Coronavirus threat and restrictions, the service has to merit a minimum of four stars.
