These people are quite unreal.
As so many have remarked, you are not able to write a review without giving a star rating, hence the one.
This company is a total disgrace when it comes to customer service. They have plagued me for almost the whole of 2019 as they repeatedly fail to deal with problems, many of which are borne out of earlier failings. Firstly it was failure of meter sub-contractors simply not showing up for appointments and more to the point, not informing me, then it developed into call centre problems (Liverpool), not getting the problem resolved and on numerous occasions simply cutting the phone off to get rid of me. Countless times through the year, I would be on the phone for well over an hour, over half of this waiting for the initial answer, much of the rest waiting while they "checked something". After three months of this, my case was "escalated" to another level, this time in Glasgow. These more senior people tended to be a little more polite but equally useless when it came resolving matters. Eventually, my faulty meter was exchanged in August and I then had the task of resolving my billing for all the months they had taken excessive amounts by D/D. Another couple of months passed as I endeavoured to get a cheque from them - agreeing the sum was a relative doddle, getting the cheque issued was another series of hour-long calls.
So are we resolved now, after 11 months, I am afraid not. Amidst this meter saga, my tariff expired and I was put on a standard rate. One of the star team in Glasgow was keen to move me to a rate which was described as their best available. I did a quick U switch check and found the rate I was being encouraged to sign up to was 31% more expensive than a U switch offer from, you might guess, Scottish Power.
Back to Scottish Power and the response that this is a third party rate which they cannot match directly. If I wanted that rate I would need take it up with the comparison site. If I did this there would be no exit fee as I would still be with SP.
So I did the switch earlier in November, got the confirmation through from U switch but have heard nothing at all from SP who sent me confirmation of the rip off tariff that I refused. Looking at my a/c and correspondence online, no mention either, so my torture continues.
Their tariffs do appear competitive but there is an enormous price to pay in grief.
