Two deliveries, sent by the retailer sooner than I was expecting, and right in the middle of house moves!
Hermes coped well, returning successfully after a failed attempt on the first occasion, and leaving the package in an appropriate place on the second (with card in door and photo on my phone so I couldn't miss it).

Delivery was promised within a couple of days of ordering. In the event, a problem arose with the delivery firm, but both they and Plants4Presents informed me as soon as they could, and the item was delivered the next day with no problem.

Travel cover was very easy to arrange online, and appears to cover all my requirements at a reasonable rate. I have only just arranged it, so cannot comment on how well the claim process might work.

However I am only giving four stars because I had a bit of difficulty ordering via the website: I couldn't seem to match delivery instructions to delivery method. (Every time I tried to change one box the other would persist in keeping the previous content.) In the end I just trusted to good old Royal Mail. I e-mailed customer services to report this problem and they responded very promptly. They thought it could be a refresh issue related to internet speed, but undertook to alert their website programmers/developers, so hopefully it will have been resolved by the time you read this.

The actual delivery was next-day, exactly as promised.

Most planting material was received BEFORE the estimated date - good, but could be a problem if recipient were away.
Not keen on the packaging of the broccoli seedlings as it made them curl up towards the light and one or two have rotted when planted out as a result.

Of all the websites I searched, Columbus was the easiest to navigate. It wasn't the cheapest quote I found, but the options were clear and the conditions explained straightforwardly, so I am confident that I have found a product that genuinely meets my needs.

I have used Photobox three times now with satisfying results, but with my most recent transaction the pictures are not square on the canvas. However it was very cheap (post-Christmas discount) so I guess I can't really complain.
