Where to begin? I thought I would up my amps on my Makita batteries. So, I purchased a pair from "ffx" in the UK. (Great company by the way). But, to warn others before purchasing Makitas 6 Amp batteries. DONT!
No doubt I am not the only one who has had this fault problem with their 6Amp batteries, there is something seriously wrong with them. When placed on the career the battery indicator lights flash in pairs from side to side. Indicating a fault, hence they will not charge. When I sent the first battery back, I spoke to a technician on the phone and they said they were aware of the problem and sent me a replacement. Well, after a few months, the replacement developed the same fault, I returned it to them, only to be told that there was only a 3-month warranty on the replacement, although it was a brand new battery? The second battery has developed the same fault but I was told out of warranty. Looking at the Trust Pilots website, I was amazed at how many bad reviews Makita has. I certainly will not be buying any more of their tools. They know the problem with the Batteries. They should have done a recall. Either stick to the lower amp batteries or be prepared to be messed around! Disgusting service.. Edit. I thought I would add to this review the fact that. Before I returned the battery, I was asked to produce proof of purchase and the date I bought the batteries, and I also informed them that it was a replacement battery. After supplying these details they then sent me a special box with vermiculite in it to return it. So if they had all the details of the battery, why would they ask for it back to inspect it? They also had the cheek to send me a note with the fault codes for the battery. Unbelievable.

I arranged for a parcel delivery through Parcel Compare and went for the Evri price. I paid for next-day delivery and did I get it the next day? NO!
I got an email from Evri saying my parcel had been delayed and that was it.
Why oh Why do firms like Evri think it is ok to just send a pitiful sorry excuse email and that is it?
Why don't you just pay me back the extra I spent for next day delivery, then we would all be happy?

Very helpful in putting heavy parcels in the porch for us.
Very polite as well, which makes a change these days

Right, where to start ?
I have previously bought from FFX before with no problems whatsoever.
I recently ordered a tool on next day delivery. I decided to read more about delivery "after " I ordered (😂). It turns out that the tool was being delivered by Royal Mail 24 tracked. Bad mistake due to the ongoing dispute. I thought here we go, have to wait ages to recieve it. I did read that you can pay £4.99 to get it sent by courier rather than Royal Mail.
So, to my surprise, I recieved my parcel 1 day late, (Which DPD says on their website due to the enormous amount of parcels they are delivering due to the postal strike). I went on RM website with the tracking number and they said they had received the parcel, no further information as you would expect from RM.
But what FFX had done was changed it from RM to DPD with no extra charge, which they did not have to do.
I think they are a first class supplier and having used them previously I seriously cannot understand all the 1 star reviews. Something seems a bit fishy to me. Go to TRust Pilot and check their reviews ?

I found this site on Google as I was looking for some matrix floats. I had a previous bad experience with a well known tackle shop saying they had them in stock when I ordered, only to wait 3 weeks before asking for a refund as I did not get them.
Having then ordered them from TackleUK I recieved them within 2 days. It is not always about the money, it is about the customer service. Also when browsing their site I was quite surprised at their prices, 9 times out of 10, cheaper than most of the other tackle shops. If you do buy your tackle on line as I do, well worth a look. I shall be using them again.

If you want a company that is easy to order from and gets your order out quickly, then this is the one. Great service !

If I could have left no stars I would have. Waited in for a next day delivery parcel, was informed that I would receive it between 16.37 and 17.37. Well the next thing I know I received an email at 17.26 saying the driver had tried to deliver the parcel at 17.25. (That is pretty fast going even for outlook). Said that a photo was taken and a card left. The photo they displayed was of the cloth on his van seat and lo and behold, the tooth fairy must have stolen the card. We have 24 hour surveillence on our front door, so the tooth fairy must be hacking that as well. I then proceededed to ring DHL and after waiting in a queue for 40 mins, (par for the course these days) a rep answered, obviously working from home. so I asked her politely could she turn her mike down a bit as I could only hear myself talking. (mike too close to the pc) she got very belligerent and put the phone down.
So the front door is being monitored all the time and they still lie. Rant over, lesson learned. Never buy from a company that uses DHL. Thank you.

I was looking for a fishing reel, but, as everyone knows, in the current climate no one seems to have anything. After searching through a few pages I came upon Uttings.co.uk site.
Lo and behold, they had them all. The service was good from start to finish. Nice and easy to order and very quick delivery. I would recommend and use again. Thank you.

I have used this company a few times, never any problems. I ordered a Stabila laser pole late one afternoon and received it the next day, free delivery ! You can't ask for more than that. They are also very helpful on the phone if you have any queries. Would definitely recommend.

Well, Just been to Brewers again after buying 2 2.5 litre cans of Eggshell. Ran a bit short and phoned to ask if they do a 1 litre can of the same. The 2.5 litre tins I bought last week were £34 odds per can. So as any normal person would think, less than half at 1 litre would be priced accordingly. But no, £25.14 for one litre. Complained, short answer, … Company policy. Absolute disgrace. I know now I should have asked the price first but in all fairness they should have said that there was such a big price difference for such a small amount. Would not recommend to anyone, and definitely will not be using them again. "UPDATE" Brewers contacted me after reading this review and the reason given was that 1litre of paint is more expensive to produce than a larger amount ? Anyone who uses brewers knows that when a paint colour is made up for you it is just a tin of white with colours added. So how it is more expensive to put a bit of colour into a small tin rather than a large one is beyond me. I expected it to work out dearer for buying 1 litre, but not that amount extra ! They offered me 5 litres of emulsion free as a good will gesture. I did not write a review to get free paint ! Stop overcharging.

I have used this company before and will continue to do so. Always hassle free ordering and very quick delivery.

I recently purchased a new router from Data Powertools. I had not heard of this company before, but as I was having trouble finding a store with the right model in stock, I searched the internet and eventually arrived at their site.
The site was very easy to navigate and ordering was hassle free. But the most important thing for me was the fact that they got it out to me straight away. No dithering, blaming the post and covid for delays, which, unfortunately a lot of companies have been doing in the last year. When I order something it is because I need it, and this company delivers on time without hassle. Which is how it should be. Customer service is what makes a good company. Will definitely use again. Would thoroughly recommend this company to anyone. From the moment I ordered the tiles on the internet, the company kept me well informed throughout the delivery process, even the courier service kept on top of it. As for the tiles, excellent value for money ! I'm no tile expert, but having received the tiles, (600 x 600) they looked very good quality, all nice and flat and equal thickness. All round a very easy and pleasant transaction which these days where companies and couriers don't seem to care as long as they have your money, was a nice change. Will definitely be using them again.
