Great IDE ruined by restrictive AI quotas

I’ve been a paying customer of JetBrains PyCharm Ultimate and always thought it was one of the best IDEs out there. The debugging tools, inspections, and overall polish are top-tier.

But the recent experience with their AI Assistant has pushed me away. Despite paying for the Ultimate plan, you’re hit with restrictive AI quotas that run out far too quickly. Once you hit the cap, you’re locked out for weeks unless you pay extra. That’s not “Ultimate,” that’s rationing.

What makes it worse is you can’t just use your own GPT or Claude subscription keys like you can in VS Code. JetBrains forces you through their pipeline and keeps you under their limits. It feels less like a productivity tool and more like an Apple-style ecosystem where they control everything.

I shouldn’t be paying for premium software and still have to worry about being cut off mid-work. Because of this, I’ve cancelled my subscription and moved back to VS Code where I can plug in my own AI keys without fear of hitting quotas.

JetBrains makes great software, but until they remove the artificial restrictions or allow users to bring their own AI keys, I can’t recommend it.

Wished I would of done my research…

Wished I would of done my research before paying this company, term and conditions sent after payment is sent, which should of been a massive red flag, the survey sent by Mark D does not correspond the true value of my house and he didn't listen to what I told him about the other estates in the area, now I will have to pay again to get a 2nd opinion, If you read this review and are considering this company, my advise would be to use a different one, preferably an independent!!!! Home surveying tried to get this review removed! It's back up!!

If you want to trade with a Windows 95 Style environment and you will pay alot of $$$ for this software, and like attitude on the tech support chat!! And to see things disappear or be greyed out features! Then this is the platform for you!

Too many adverts, when you are paying stupid amounts of money every month. Too much polical garbage, Sky sports have forgot there grass roots of broadcasting good sports. I will never pay this company a single penny!!!

1st day of the year 2025 guess what????? No internet. Internet always goes down either at night or an bank holiday. I'm cancelling now as I've had enough.
I have just ordered a 2nd connection to my house with AndrewArnoldisp. Due to the unreliability of this internet connection. Every other day the is an outage in the area!!!!

Purchased a Coachman Festival 2024 575…

Purchased a Coachman Festival 2024 575 off this company 30-06-24 After highlighting some issues with caravan interior before we collected with the microwave being obstructed by the plastic trim when trying to open door, however the despatch team decided to just rip the trim away, and force it back in, it looks as though they completely had no respect for it whatsoever. We then sent them the images of the microwave hanging out the unit after transporting from Glossop to our storage site in Alton. After excuse after excuse we finally received a date for their service department to repair under coachman warranty, technically it wasn't a coachman warranty claim, more like a botch job by Glossop caravans dispatch team. Unfortunately today 28-10-24 we brought the caravan to them at our own expense to be repaired, only to be told that the part sent by Coachman was too small. Whether they had the part or not is another matter, as I do not trust this company. All in all we haven't been able to use this caravan yet as we were told by Glossop to either not use caravan or remove the microwave, and also we are being told by the service rep it will take another 3-6months before this is likely to be resolved, so we have owned an caravan from Glossop and not been able to tow it to a campsite safely, so not been able to use it. We have now contacted Black horse finance to start the complaints procedure and are attempting to reject the caravan as you cannot tow this caravan in the fear of the microwave falling out the unit and causing more damage to the cupboard and flooring/oven. Glossop caravans do not care, there are no procedures or processes in place to deal with anything, fortunately for us we used black horse finance who have a duty of care. So hopefully blackhorse will get this sorted for us, so we can move on from this terrible experience.
Update:-
We where contacted by Glossop caravans service who informed the owner of Glossop Caravans was helping, Glossop could get hold of the microwave surround inside a week, so we agreed to bring the caravan back again for Glossop technician to work on it, After ruining another weekend with caravan transportation the microwave was fixed, however the shelf underneath the microwave as been damaged, as the technician ripped the holding insulation tape off rather than gently removing. Now we have had Black horse contact us who stated Glossop told them the microwave is resolved, just shows that Glossop caravans tell lies as this has not been resolved, it's one step forward then two steps back, we are now having to wait until the new year ultimately get this damaged shelf sorted. And also I've now noticed external seals on the outside of the caravan breaking away, but the is no one at Glossop interested. An Blackhorse engineer as been scheduled to come and check the caravan over in the process of rejecting this caravan, it's a real shame as the caravan is very much loved in our family, but Glossop have ruined this experience with staff and technicians who clearly do not care.
Update after resolution plan:-
We checked over caravan, but immediately noticed the caravan surround had been miss treated again. The shelf which was damaged had been replaced however the microwave surround which had been repaired was more like a cut and shut jub with a screw sticking out, where the screw was located this should of been finishing nails. The bed still squeaks also. Wouldn't you think if a company of directors and managers are aware of an caravan on the verge of being rejected they would check themself and double check, not just take the technicians word for it. I've now given up with this caravan and Glossop! I have come to the conclusion this isn't going to be resolved after the 4th attempt. The finance company engineer stated they are miner repairs but I am not convinced This company has the competence to sort these issues. However we are in a catch, as if we don't allow Glossop to sort these issues then are warranty is void, as the idea of additional works completed on the caravan you have to use Glossop caravan the dealer where you purchased the caravan but how do you get the works completed when the dealer technicians carry out poor workmanship and miss treat the caravans.

Terrible company

Terrible company, keeps increasing the prices, the workman ship of the suppose gardeners is a joke, nothing is straight.
Just received a 25% increase on our grounds maintenance fee today which an absolute joke. I've had enough, will be putting my house up for sale now as I can't put up with this shambles of a company which has an hold over my home threatening for what ever they request every year. Will look for an older house where these management companies don't have any dealings. Goodbye RMG, and thanks for nothing.

Gave up in the end

Gave up in the end, ordered 24-09-23 note 23 ultra, it never arrived, still waiting 15-10-23, have just sent the cancellation email, apparently they have a server problem which last almost a month. Surprised they didn't blame coronavirus!
Complete bunch of time wasters, if you have a server issue why are you accepting orders?!

Complete disaster from start to finish

Complete disaster from start to finish, you end up waiting months! Not weeks! MONTHS!!! They don't provide accurate tracking information, my item is stuck in Preston waiting for customs charges to be paid, and I have no way of contacting anyone to get it sorted, don't waste your time, go to TPS or VW dealership direct as this company simply take to long and have no customer service what so ever!
Eventually received the order but 2 items missing, but was not notified these items would not be packaged, having waited so long would of expected a simple email letting me know. No refund, now I am having to chase them to get my money back, best to avoid this company.

You have got infiormation in shoppinng basket about that expecting date of shipping is 2nd of august. Same information is showed in order confirmation which is sent same day when order placed. Yes packages was shipped 9th of august, not 2nd as planned and we are sorry for that. It is natural process that you have to wait for import clearance, and pay import charges when you are ordering goods outside united kingdom. This is happening since Brexit. You have got 2 tracking numbers, it does not exist accurate or not accurate tracking number. We are using some shipping company, and they provide us tracking number. That is that we can provide. We do not have another more accurate tracking. Nothing is missing in your sending, we have shipped 2 packages due to oversize of come spare parts, it was not possible to ship it in one package. Both packages just did not arrived same day. I dont know about any chasing with us regarding your money, we admitted our mistake in the shipping process. Given up in the end trying to call…

Given up in the end trying to call them, they don't answer the phone!!!!
APC preston depo told me for some reason VAN X requested the return of my item as I was working away, the attempted delivery was 18-07-23, the delivery driver cant seem to just leave with a neighbour, I returned home 21-07-23 in the evening, speaks to preston APC 22-07-23 to try and colect my item who told me the sender has requested your delivery be returned with out even contacting me. Then I try and ring Van X but no answer, the phone just rings and rings. I would avoid this company as, customer service is non existent.

Apc Preston terrible attitude over the…

Apc Preston terrible attitude over the phone, I missed the delivery as I work away on the 18/07/23, finally got home on the 21/07/23 that evening, contacted apc preston 22/07/23 to hopefully collect my delivery, the person on the phone says the sender requested the return of your item, what nonsense when I spoke to Van X who let me know this was simply not true, I always try and avoid companies that use APC for delivery as I know how difficult the preston Archive Business Centre Ltd is. All other delivery companies that come to my house never have a problem with following simple instructions over the door bell, however APC preston delivery drivers can never be bothered, APC preston is dragging this network down, and APC franchise can and should do better and find a better business than Archive Business Centre!!!!!!!

Terrible service

Terrible service, customer service and aftercare is not a strong point! they advise you incorrectly when designing the systems, and constantly ignore emails, i managed to speak to Ian once, however when requesting to speak to him again he was always away and had just left the office, trying to get a refund is extremely difficult. Customer service is shocking. Save yourself the agro and buy from another company.

Update:-
Emailed the coop at there complaints email, and no response! I think its an automated response on review site to acknowledge negative feedback Owen response below.
Kevin Hobbs response on quality of the contract paperwork "regardless of the quality of the document, it is still a legal document nonetheless and remains our intellectual property" with this comment shows there more than happy to print poor quality documents and think it is acceptable.

Switch to o2 in oct22

Switch to o2 in oct22, and have regretted ever since, the phone shows 4g but I can't load a basic Web page or use Google maps, the phone switches to the 3g network everytime I make a call. Fortunately my android phone supports dual sim, I've had to get myself a EE pay as you go sim, this EE pandg sim is now my main network, unbelievable. O2 your signal is an embarrassment!!!!

Had my windscreen replaced last…

Had my windscreen replaced last Saturday, was not impressed with the quality of the glass, it is a cheap brand, not the VW type which I was assured I would receive over the phone.
Also on the website when I completed the order process, it stated the window wiper blades would be replaced, this did not happen.
If I could turn the clock back now I would of just took my van to VW and just bought the windscreen rather than using insurance and auto glass poor inventory, will never use this company again!!!
