Purchased a Coachman Festival 2024 575 off this company 30-06-24 After highlighting some issues with caravan interior before we collected with the microwave being obstructed by the plastic trim when trying to open door, however the despatch team decided to just rip the trim away, and force it back in, it looks as though they completely had no respect for it whatsoever. We then sent them the images of the microwave hanging out the unit after transporting from Glossop to our storage site in Alton. After excuse after excuse we finally received a date for their service department to repair under coachman warranty, technically it wasn't a coachman warranty claim, more like a botch job by Glossop caravans dispatch team. Unfortunately today 28-10-24 we brought the caravan to them at our own expense to be repaired, only to be told that the part sent by Coachman was too small. Whether they had the part or not is another matter, as I do not trust this company. All in all we haven't been able to use this caravan yet as we were told by Glossop to either not use caravan or remove the microwave, and also we are being told by the service rep it will take another 3-6months before this is likely to be resolved, so we have owned an caravan from Glossop and not been able to tow it to a campsite safely, so not been able to use it. We have now contacted Black horse finance to start the complaints procedure and are attempting to reject the caravan as you cannot tow this caravan in the fear of the microwave falling out the unit and causing more damage to the cupboard and flooring/oven. Glossop caravans do not care, there are no procedures or processes in place to deal with anything, fortunately for us we used black horse finance who have a duty of care. So hopefully blackhorse will get this sorted for us, so we can move on from this terrible experience.
Update:-
We where contacted by Glossop caravans service who informed the owner of Glossop Caravans was helping, Glossop could get hold of the microwave surround inside a week, so we agreed to bring the caravan back again for Glossop technician to work on it, After ruining another weekend with caravan transportation the microwave was fixed, however the shelf underneath the microwave as been damaged, as the technician ripped the holding insulation tape off rather than gently removing. Now we have had Black horse contact us who stated Glossop told them the microwave is resolved, just shows that Glossop caravans tell lies as this has not been resolved, it's one step forward then two steps back, we are now having to wait until the new year ultimately get this damaged shelf sorted. And also I've now noticed external seals on the outside of the caravan breaking away, but the is no one at Glossop interested. An Blackhorse engineer as been scheduled to come and check the caravan over in the process of rejecting this caravan, it's a real shame as the caravan is very much loved in our family, but Glossop have ruined this experience with staff and technicians who clearly do not care.
Update after resolution plan:-
We checked over caravan, but immediately noticed the caravan surround had been miss treated again. The shelf which was damaged had been replaced however the microwave surround which had been repaired was more like a cut and shut jub with a screw sticking out, where the screw was located this should of been finishing nails. The bed still squeaks also. Wouldn't you think if a company of directors and managers are aware of an caravan on the verge of being rejected they would check themself and double check, not just take the technicians word for it. I've now given up with this caravan and Glossop! I have come to the conclusion this isn't going to be resolved after the 4th attempt. The finance company engineer stated they are miner repairs but I am not convinced This company has the competence to sort these issues. However we are in a catch, as if we don't allow Glossop to sort these issues then are warranty is void, as the idea of additional works completed on the caravan you have to use Glossop caravan the dealer where you purchased the caravan but how do you get the works completed when the dealer technicians carry out poor workmanship and miss treat the caravans.
