Taking more money than they should

British Gas took a closing balance of £545 from our account TWICE. When I finally managed to get through to them they couldn’t care less. Telling me that it would be up to ten days till they could deal with it.

But someone would call me back to assure me it was being dealt with. Guess what they lied no call back no one wants to deal with it. All the time they sit on my money earning them interest.

Wondering how many other people they are screwing over in this way?

You can’t really go wrong

You can’t really go wrong with these guys. Great selection, great service and great prices. Just be aware offers change quickly so it maybe worth waiting and seeing what comes round.

Buy the add-ins at your own risk

These guys fit tyres for a good price and I have had a few occasions to need them.

But be careful with the add-ins. I paid to have my TPMS valve serviced £7.99

It worked when they arrived. I didn’t when they left! Despite the issue they have failed to even return the cost of the ‘service’. Let alone the fact I now have to go to the main dealership to get this sorted!

Consider getting the TPMS valves serviced by tour dealer Not these guys. They know tyres but I think that’s where their knowledge stops.

Barclaycard - the new Wonga?

I have been a customer of Barclaycard for many years and always pay over the minimum monthly amount. Despite this I have been told I have been in perpetual debt for over 36 months! For the last 2 years (I haven’t missed a single monthly payment) I have been paying £80 a month over what Barclaycard call the minimum monthly amount. Despite this they won’t entertain discussing the situation with me. Just stating they can’t be wrong, it’s not possible! Getting through to a person is almost impossible and if you do it’s some pleb with a script who won’t put you through to the complaints department. ‘I’ll make a note and someone will call you back’ is often used and no one ever does. But every letter telling me I have to sort out my ‘perpetual debt’ states they have tried to call me. I only have one phone - a mobile and it’s on and with me 24/7 they haven’t tried and even if they had they could leave a message! They used to be so efficient and client facing. Now they are no better than Wonga used to be - We all know what happened to them!

You won’t get an EASYLIFE

Despite the best efforts of the person we actually spoke too. This company (EasyLife) has a rigid and inflexible policy relating to returns.

Despite the intended recipient of this gift dying before receiving this gift (16th day after purchase) and it therefore not being ‘top’ of our list of things to do. The company won’t accept return of an unopened delivery,

I accept their policy states 14 day return policy. But it also states you can return the goods by notifying them in writing! Or your intention to do so. So by rights if I’d sent the enclosed form at the end of the 14 days, they wouldn’t have received it till outside of the 14 day policy window. Despite this and the attempts of the person we spoke too. The company management feel inflexibility is the best policy.

Please for your own piece of mind don’t expect any sympathy or flexibility when dealing with this company. As they’re target customer is clearly elderly this can’t have be the first time this has happened.

Please let’s make sure it’s the last.

This is 21st century banking

This is 21st century banking.

Starling seem to have thought of most things and it’s intuative, user friendly and fast - I’m mean REALLY fast. Notifications arrive to confirm payments before the online retailer tells me I’ve paid.

If you can, get onboard. You’ll realise your old bank Is so out of date.
