This Little Plugin Changed How I Edit for LinkedIn

I’ve been using the Autocut plugin for Premiere Pro recently, and it’s genuinely made a difference to my workflow. It’s intuitive, easy to use, and has helped me create clean, polished edits with minimal fuss. For someone like me who’s focused on sharing meaningful, human-centred content—especially on platforms like LinkedIn—it’s been a brilliant tool.

From cutting out filler words and silences to speeding up my editing time, Autocut helps me get to the heart of the message faster. It’s not over-engineered, and that’s part of what makes it so effective.

Highly recommend it if you’re creating short-form content that needs to be clear, sharp, and engaging.

Let Down By Volvo & Bells

Let Down By Volvo & Bells — Faulty Car, Repeated Complaints Ignored

I bought a brand-new Volvo EX30 Twin in May 2024 through Bells Volvo and Santander finance. From the very start, the car has had repeated faults — including a broken charging flap, defective safety sensors, and software bugs. These were not minor inconveniences — they directly affected charging reliability and safe operation of the vehicle.

Despite multiple visits to the dealer and direct contact with Volvo UK, the problems persist. Eventually, an official ACE inspection confirmed some issues were not repairable — including misting on safety-critical vision sensors.

Volvo and the dealership have closed complaint cases multiple times without actually resolving the problems. I’ve now had to raise complaints with the Motor Ombudsman and Financial Ombudsman Service, and I’m considering legal action to reject the vehicle under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

I’ve spent months chasing answers for a premium electric car I can’t rely on. I would never have expected this level of treatment from Volvo.

Disappointing Customer Service and Lack of Transparency

I recently tried to subscribe to Google AI Ultra but was given incorrect information about the benefits and the consequences of cancellation. When I contacted support, I was repeatedly given generic responses and denied any escalation or formal complaints process, despite being a UK consumer entitled to one.
After much persistence, a senior manager acknowledged the mishandling but stated nothing could be done to reinstate my promotional offer or compensate me. This experience left me feeling devalued and frustrated. I would not recommend others rely on Google’s customer service for clear communication or fair treatment.

Time for an Ethical Reassessment, Supercell

As a long-time enthusiast of competitive gaming, I've been both a witness to and participant in the worlds of 'Clash of Clans' and 'Clash Royale' created by Supercell. The games themselves are undeniably well-crafted, showcasing the developers' deep understanding of engaging gameplay and community-building.

However, I have growing concerns regarding the monetisation strategies employed by Supercell. The practice of introducing new, overpowered characters, placing them behind a paywall, and subsequently 'nerfing' them once certain revenue targets are met is troubling. This approach not only undermines the integrity of competitive play but also takes advantage of the player's passion and investment in the game.

In other industries, such as automotive, the equivalent practice would be inconceivable – selling a product only to diminish its capabilities after purchase. It is a tactic that raises serious ethical questions.

Supercell has shown it knows how to create engaging games, but it is disheartening to see the business side overshadow the spirit of fair play with models reminiscent of gambling, exploiting the vulnerabilities related to addiction.

I urge Supercell to revisit their policies and align their business practices with the ethics of fair play and respect for their community. It's time to recalibrate and remember that the longevity of a game is rooted in the trust and respect of its players.

I made the switch to Octopus Energy in August last year, and it's been an incredibly positive experience. The move was prompted by my decision to install solar panels and a battery at home. Switching to Octopus Energy's 'Go' tariff has been a game-changer, helping me reduce my energy bills by over £300 per month.

Of course, solar panels and batteries play a significant role in these savings, but the ability to draw energy at cheaper rates has been critical, especially given the recent rise in electricity costs.

I've had to contact Octopus Energy's customer service on several occasions for various reasons, and each time, they've been nothing short of brilliant. Their team is responsive, helpful, and always ready to assist.

However, I do believe there's room for improvement. It would be beneficial if Octopus Energy could make switching to other smart tariffs easier or even more customizable. A system that recommends the best tariff based on individual solar PV setups and other factors would be a great addition to their services.

In conclusion, I highly recommend Octopus Energy for their competitive tariffs, excellent customer service, and commitment to renewable energy.

Exceptional Customer Service and Quick Replacement from DJI

I recently had an experience with DJI's customer service that truly exceeded my expectations. As an owner of the Mavic 3 Pro, I was understandably upset when my drone crashed on the 11th of July, 2023. However, DJI's customer service quickly turned my disappointment into relief and satisfaction.

I was amazed at the speed of their response and the efficiency of their service. Within just two days, by the 13th of July, I had a replacement drone in my hands. The process was smooth and hassle-free, thanks to DJI's Refresh service.

What impressed me the most was their proactive communication throughout the process. I received phone calls ensuring that my replacement was received and another informing me that they were sending additional accessories that were not being recycled back. This level of communication and attention to detail is something I deeply appreciate.

I am aware that there are some negative reviews out there, but my personal experience with DJI's customer service was far from negative. In fact, it was exceptional. The speed of reply and replacement, coupled with their excellent communication, left a very positive impression on me.

In conclusion, I would like to express my gratitude to DJI for their exceptional customer service. They turned a potentially negative experience into a positive one, and for that, they deserve recognition. I would highly recommend DJI not only for their high-quality drones but also for their outstanding customer service.

Unfulfilled Promises and Lost Opportunities: A Cautionary Tale with Voneus

In February 2022, we entered into two contracts with Voneus for a full FTTP installation to two properties, including a business in the SG19 area. We were assured that the installation would take place in June 2022. However, this timeline was pushed back to November. As of January 24th, 2023, we were still without an installation, despite the rest of the village being connected.

We had been promised a full installation, which led us to delay connecting our business via BT. Unfortunately, Voneus has not delivered on this promise. Despite our repeated complaints and requests for information, we have been met with radio silence from the company.

As the wedding season approaches and our venue requires good connectivity, we are considering alternatives like Starlink, as FTTC is not a viable option for us.

UPDATE: March 3rd, 2023. Over a year has passed since we signed the contracts, and yet there has been no progress or installation. The company's silence continues.

UPDATE: April 22nd, 2023. Voneus has still not provided any updates or potential installation dates, other than a reply here. It's frustrating to see the company rolling out installations in numerous new areas, while neglecting the ones they've already started and promised to complete.

UPDATE: July 21st, 2023. Despite numerous promises and changes in contact, we remain in the same position as almost a year ago, with no tangible progress or a clear timeline for the installation. The promises made to us, including the expected service delivery in early 2023, have not been fulfilled. It's disheartening to see that a year's worth of patience and understanding has led us back to where we started.

Voneus has repeatedly stated they are trying to secure contractors for the necessary work, yet they continue to roll out to new areas, seemingly neglecting the ones they have already started. This has added to our frustration and disappointment.

The lack of progress and concrete information has been frustrating. It's disappointing to see a company that specializes in communication struggle to communicate effectively and deliver on their promises.

New Update: September 14th, 2023: After all this time, Juan has called to inform us that Voneus will not be able to provide FTTP to us. Despite promises from heads of departments, this is their conclusion. Many areas within our community have been left out, as contractors didn't deem it financially viable. Even a property owned by a FTSE 100 company has been neglected. Voneus is now considering a wireless gigabit connection, but this is not guaranteed, leading to further waiting.

Warning: In addition to these unfulfilled promises, it's alarming that some staff members have actively ignored our calls and emails. For a company in the communication sector, their own internal and external communication is abysmal. Their Build Manager and other personnel have not responded to multiple queries, adding another layer to our disappointing experience.

I continue to hope for a resolution and will update this review if there are any changes.

"I had a fantastic experience with Secret Labs' customer service team. I recently purchased a gaming chair from them, along with a Magnus Pro Desk. Part of my order was missing on delivery. Unfortunately, the desk arrived without the Magpad Pro cover . I contacted their customer support team, and they were quick to respond and incredibly helpful in resolving the issue. Yoh responded to my requests.

They were friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to make sure that I was satisfied with the outcome. They sent me a new Magpad and it arrived to complete my new set up! The desk and Titan eco chair are simply brilliant and so much better than the, not retired ones I used to have.

Overall, I was extremely impressed with the level of customer service that I received from Secret Labs. They truly care about their customers and are willing to do whatever it takes to ensure their satisfaction. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for high-quality gaming chairs, an amazing standing desk and exceptional customer service."

The Choice to get solar was huge for us…

The Choice to get solar was huge for us as a family. Finding the suitable suppliers was critical. I began researching in-depth, Jan 2022 pre every challenge we currently face as a country. I made a choice to get solar later in the year.

Having contacted many installers, I settled with Halo Renewables for 2 reasons. Tommy and his great customer service along with Mathew and his knowledge of solar and advice.

I got a 7.4kWh solar system and a 16.4kWh givenrgy battery system. I had a fair idea of what to expect. I have been active for a few days now and all I can say is WOW! The advice I received for my system was spot on. My smart meter calculated my total electricity cost yesterday as .46p per day. That is down from £7-8 per day.

I have recommended Halo to many friends who have taken their service too. I am so pleased with the service I have received the whole way through this process. Start to finish. I have included some images of my installation. Thank you everyone at Halo, this is a smart investment for our family.

Further to this, I have made a youtube video showing the dashboard that the givenergy cloud uses. I also provide an example of saving. It can be found on irishpixel YT channel.

SCAM* zero contact and charged £822 for a free tiral

I signed up for a trial as I was looking to find a tool that could help with script writing. It was a 5 day trial.

I have cancelled my account and please asked for a refund immediately.

I used the site for approximately 30mins.

I have a bill of £822 with zero contact from customer support despite emailing. They promise a 2-8hr response time. I am now on day 3.... Currently on hold to my credit card fraud team.


UPDATE> Managed to get some money refunded but not all of it. There is £62.59 short. Jasper stated that was the exchange rate. The bottom line is, they shouldn't have taken anything to start of with. The 'Free' trial wasn't so free after all. I will continue to pursue the moneis owed. In the same email, they offered me a discount?

I would stay clear of this company purely on money management and customer service level.

I have used fitness superstore for all of my home gym gear

I have used fitness superstore for years! I train at home and train hard. Having bought all of my gym equipment from the including a concept 2 rower, powetec leverage systems and a life fitness IC5, I could not recommend any other company. Delivery and customer service have always been excellent. Having been to the show room in Northampton, this company is the real deal. Wouldn’t shop anywhere else for fitness equipment.

A Company Heading Backwards Fast

I bought a dual strap from the photography show, Birmingham over a year ago. When I got the strap, I had never heard of them. I was told at the stand the strap was the most reliable strap built and this it would keep my gear safe through thick and thin. I bought it. £140. I use expensive gear. Photography is my passion. My gear means everything to me. I trusted it with the strap and the sales pitch that came with it. Within six months, one of my straps had lost the little screw that hold the clasp together. I stopped using it. Fortunately you can split the strap and use it as a single. Everything was fine, but I was one strap down. I emailed their customer services and never heard back. Fast forward to September this year, I was on a trip to Canada. I had my DSLR with a £1600 lens on it. I was using my working strap. On getting off a bus, the worst thing happened. My DSLR came out of the strap and landed lens first on the road. The screw had fallen off from the second strap. My gear was smashed.

I got home and contacted Blackrapid right away. They were responsive initially. I posted by straps to the UK distributor who then sent the strap to Blackrapid for inspection. The unfortunate thing is their UK distributor went bankrupt. I then contacted BR directly.

I have to be honest, their customer service and communication is terrible. I have no idea how they have so many glowing reviews. I got a bill for a lens repair and DSLR repair £950. BR said my strap was ware and tear. they offered me a replacement at %40 discount. This was honestly a massive insult. I asked for my strap back. Communication ceased. They have stopped responding to my emails. They have not sent my strap back. After initial contact, their communication was pretty awful. I spent time asking them for an update. There was never any rudeness or anything, they just seemed like they didn't care and infrequently contacted me.

BR is a company I would completely avoid. On their site the words 'the worlds most trusted camera strap' are headed. I would not buy their products again. In my opinion, their customer service is awful and their products are substandard. BR is you ever read this, please send me my strap back. I did buy it after all.

The Best You Can Ask For

Peter Tyson are my default audio and visual company.

I have over 10k worth of audio equipment and all of it has come from Peter Tyson. I find the prices amazingly competitive and the service is outstanding. Steve always sorts me out a good deal on new equipment with trade in.

I would highly recommend Peter Tyson. Great customer service!

I love the convince of Halfords and its accessibility. But of course this comes at a cost. The best time to shop there is when they have an offer in my opinion. I guess it’s just hard to compete with online retailers.
