Don't bother with Streatham store, hardly any stock

Is this store scheduled for closure? because it has rows of empty shelves, for example it sells sealant cartridges but not the cartridge guns. Had to go to B & Q to get one. No G clamps in ANY local stores.
Will not bother going to this my very local store again, but will travel to B & Q in future

Not delivered and totally false response on tracking web

Parcel not delivered and their tracking web says tried to deliver and left a card.
This is untrue as no card delivered and as we were in all day and as the door covered by CCTV it proves no one came near.
Cannot contact Parcelforce as they demand a reference no from this non existent card.
Also their web states unable to deliver if address cannot be found so how do they leave a card in these circumstances

Don't go near them

Having been a monthly contract customer for 9 years and paying £7 a month insurance for that length of time, I had the phone fail about 9 months ago. Went to Vodafone shop but told you are insured for damage, loss or theft not phone failure and I would have to pay for repair. Said forget it just cancel the contact but then they said you are due an upgrade phone we can give you one of them instead. I took this option but they seemed incapable of transferring the data from my sim card and memory card to the new phone, blaming problems with their computer system. So spent hours transferring data back from my PC.
Unfortunately the new phone was dropped and screen cracked. This time I thought no problem this IS an insurance repair. Yes it is but told (in writing) that uninsured it would have cost me £78 pounds to repair. It was sent for repair and provided with a temporary phone. After 3 weeks I got a message informing me it was available to collect at the Croydon store, went there old to be told no it’s not here. I then showed them their own text message, and then my phone appeared, they said they had reinstalled the SIM and memory card and showed me my phone contacts and text messages. So took phone home. but on plugging it into laptop found memory card missing. To add insult to this I now find that despite paying about £760 over the 9 years contract they is a £60 excess payment on an insurance claim. So without insurance it would cost me £78 with insurance £60 so I would have paid £16 more despite giving them £760 in premiums.
Unfortunately have accepted the upgraded phone I am stuck with this lot until Dec 2017 unless I pay their exorbitant cancellation fee.
Beware doing business with Vodafone

Exceptional service

Went to Croydon (Church street branch) for bi-annual eye check and I fully expected to be asked to purchase new glasses. Had the full eye test including photo of back of eye and pressure which is free as being senior citizen. After full test optician said, such a small change that no new glasses needed, see you in two years!

brilliant service when faulty microwave received

Ordered a Sharp microwave on Sunday evening and it arrived exactly on time on the Wednesday. Unfortunately I noticed the turntable did not rotate so I phone Co-op and they said would like like a refund or replacement. I opted for replacement and they said "no problem, we can get you one delivered tomorrow morning". I was kept fully informed by both email and text and the new microwave arrived via DPD exactly on time with a very pleasant and helpful driver. This one works OK.

Avoid like the plague

Ordered a laptop from BT and paid for next day delivery. It did not arrive and on checking Yodels web site 2 days later I found the package was still at their Middleton centre. It was sent to my local hub at Mitcham and was scanned in at 11:23am. but not delivered that day. The next day I managed to get through to the Mitcham centre and was informed the package had not been there 3 days yet! and as they did not deliver on Sundays or Bank Holidays it would not arrive until at least the following Tuesday. All the dates and times were on their Web site until my phone call and then suddenly "No details available" has now appeared.
Have informed BT that I will no longer buy anything from them until they drop this joke of a company.

Never again

Ordered a laptop via Amazon, then got an email saying order cancelled as they had no stock!. Said money refunded via same method of payment I used which was a debit card. Although not taken from my account there is still an available balance on my account that is exactly minus the £303.90 cost of this laptop. Coincidence I don't think so!

Review of Save on Laptops

Excellent

Tried to buy this laptop, a Fujitsu Lifebook, from Amazon and BT Shop. Both accepted but later emailed to say sorry not in stoke!
Found Saveonlaptops on web, did a bit of on-line research and they seemed OK.
Ordered one and it arrived next day! was set up and running within one hour, now packed away for Daughters Christmas present.
Excellent price and service.
