We had a freezer delivered during lockdown. Everything was decent without being extraordinary. Price fair, timing reasonable, service and delivery just fine. Would use again. Thanks

Disgusting
Paid for washing machine connection services and it wasn’t done correctly which then resulted in flooding my kitchen, into my hallway and I only noticed when I was getting up to go to the loo and it was in the entrance of my front room! I have used all of my towels, dressing gown and dirty washing and floor is still wet. I didn’t complain about it rising in the sink I just got on with it but after this it’s a disgrace. I paid for it to connect properly this should not be happening. I will be raising a formal complaint.
Wish I had never bought my Beko…
Wish I had never bought my Beko integrated washing machine from Co-op online electrical. Their customer service is shocking and they have refused to give us a refund for the broken washing machine even though Beko have instructed them to do so. Beko were no different to be fair. Fortunately we bought the washing machine on a credit card and they have now investigated the Co-op and Beko and they have refunded the total amount - thank you Barclays for your excellent service.
Appliance failed and they don’t care!
Not honouring UK consumer law and poor customer service e after an appliance failed within 15months of ownership.
Warranty - Statutory Rights
We have purchased on line an American style Fridge/Freezer with an additional 5 years warranty.
The freezer stopped working 6 days now and ringing Coop to send out an engineer but we are getting the royal run around!
First of all they said that they do not have any record of our purchases then when I emailed their receipt they have acknowledge that we did made the purchase and that the warranty policy reference is theirs. However, the warranty department claiming that the have not receive any documentation to contact the sales department.
The sales department said that due to data protection they cannot provide me with any information because the purchase is not in my name but my husband name. This morning when he rang explaining the situation, instead of transferring him to the warranty department they transfer him to a food store. Trying to ring them again no one is picking up the phone, calling more than once and on the line for more than 10 minutes. This is the worst customer service we have ever received and would advise anyone not to purchase from them as they do not fulfil consumers statutory rights, all they want is your money.
ABSOLUTE RUBBISH
Purchased a Bosch Oven that doesn't cook. Sent evidence of this and they will not refund £595. The oven works in a completely different way to other ovens. When you pre heat the thermostat light extinguishes prior to reaching the temperature. Bosch said this is how the oven works even though this is not explained in the instruction manual. Am on a campaign for both the Co-op Electrical who will not refund and Bosch for selling cookers that are not fit for purpose, Steer clear of this company and Bosch.
Fantastic
Was fantastic, delivered on time, registered warranty easily, bargain prices. What else can one ask for, Purchased a lec fridge freezer, British obviously as i wont buy anything else now. And a lec dishwasher Perfect!!!
Damaged product
Fridge/freezer delivered with dent in the door. Apparently I should've checked on delivery which took all of 2 minutes. Refused help because I noticed after 7 days. Not even sure it's working that well either. Should've just bought a second-hand one down the road. Shame about them ceasing trading but is it any surprise?
Shocking service all round…
Shocking service all round (delivery, product and refund procedure). Apparently co-op electrical is closing and the delivery driver told us that this means that nobody cares anymore. They even short changed us by £20 on the refund that we were given.
Incompetent, and don't care about customer service.
I ordered a chest freezer, and nominated a date for delivery. Two days later a bossy unhelpful woman rang up and said the delivery date (which they had confirmed, twice) wasn't convenient to them, and gave me one other date. On that date, as I explained, I would be away. "In that case" said Miss Bossy and Unhelpful, "I'll cancel the order"
And that was that.
Fridgemaster from Co-op - a disaster purchase
The Fridgemaster American fridge freezer broke down after 6 months. Conditions of manufacturer guarantee are appalling - they consider a month to repair an essential appliance as a reasonable time scale and do not adhere to inspection/repair time slots they agreed with the customers. There is no transparency in communication from Fridgemaster, I.e. 1st visit is only an inspection and not the actual repair for which a time scale with 0800 Repair subcontractor can be up to a month. I guess I was lucky to get a slot in 2 weeks but nobody turned up or called to say there was an issue. Next repair in another 2 weeks. Co-op appear supportive of this
stance. Eventually, after a month of hassle, couple of hunded pounds of spoiled food and several phone calls to Co-op customer services, they finally agreed to collect and refund the faulty appliance however the collection driver was delayed - again no courtesy call from Co-op to keep me informed, just an extremely patronising stance from co-op customer services offering a “good will” gesture of £20 gift card to spend in a Co-op store. What a horrendous, expensive and extremely stressful experience - never again.
This company and its colleagues are a…
This company and its colleagues are a disgrace. I ordered a Bosch washing machine from them for it eventually to turn up a week later. I installed it as per the instruction manual, I put a load of washing on and went for a shower. I came down the stairs to aloud banging noise and the washing machine had managed to move halfway across my kitchen floor. One of the feet on the bottom of the washing machine was faulty and burnt a hole in my kitchen floor. I made coop electrical aware of this however I have still had no reply. I phoned up last week to find out what was going on, I waited on the phone 25 minutes until a young woman answered, she did not apologise or thank me for waiting, I asked her why it took so long to answer and she said I'm on my own trying to answer all the phones. Surely answer 1 phone deal with the customer properly then move to the next! She clearly lied to me because I could hear people in the background speaking to other customers. The lady was so unhelpful. I asked to speak with a manager but apparently there wasn't one there. A manager called me back at 17.45 to ask what I wanted! Give me strength. Coop electrical came to collect the faulty washing machine however iam still waiting for my refund and someone contacting me about the damage to my kitchen floor. This company is complete and utter shambles, I wouldn't even give it 1 star but unfortunately there is no other option. Avoid!!!
Terrible and even worse delivery people
Bought a a smart TV for a good price. Delivery drivers are terrible. Can’t follow simple inductions to my apartment. Delivery slot was at 7am.
Once I open the TV later that day I see the screen has been damaged heavily. So half the screen does not work.
I can support the next day. There is none of this TV left in stock, so all they can do is refund me, although as I mentioned I got a very good price. After over an hour on the phone they decide to send something similar.
The next delivery is scheduled for Saturday. Again 7am?! The drivers again have no idea how to follow simple instructions. Call again and again asking me to come and find them myself. Make there way to mine 15 mins later (at this time in the AM) - seemed aggressive and had no manners what so ever. Looking around the place and having a little snoop as I signed for the product. Rude to say the least.
Once left and said bye, they shouted oi in the corridor as they forgot to ask me to sign another sheet for the broken tv.
Aboid CO-OP avoid Phoenix deliveries (whoever they are/Yorkshire couriers.
I would definitely recommend
I bought a washer from these guys. They were the 3rd company I used and I couldn’t fault them. They answered queries prior to me ordering and kept me up to date re the delivery. The delivery was on time and free of charge. Simple.
Would recommend.
very bad and poor customer service…
very bad and poor customer service after sale. have 4 years extended warranty on washing machine and is 3rd week washing machine broken and waiting for my washing machine to be fixed/repaired??!! DO NOT TRY BYE FROM THIS SELLER AVOID THEM
Bought a Samsung QLED TV in August…
Bought a Samsung QLED TV in August 2018. It’s just over 6 months since taking delivery and the screen keeps going off every few minutes. Co-op response is that I have to speak to Samsung to get any help, even though my contract is with them.
It’s a shame the set didn’t break down 2 weeks ago as I could have requested a replacement or refund.
Spoke to Samsung via a call centre somewhere abroad and still waiting for a date an engineer will call out. They said it could be up to 7 days!
Next time I’ll pay a little more
and buy from a more reputable retailer like John Lewis, who offer a 2 year warranty and would have exchanged it.
Delivery
Received phone call at 07.15 to say that delivery was attempted at 07.05!!!
No phone call, text message or email to say that they were coming at that time in the morning
Called customer services to complain & they told me that there would be a £35 redelivery charge
The guy on the phone was very rude to me, terrible customer service
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
Useless, don't use!
The worst customer service on the phone, rude, impatient didn't resolve my order. I made an order on the Tues and never received it to then be told it attempted delivery but had no correspondence on either phone or email!?
Condenser Tumble Dryer Purchase
I purchased a condenser tumble dryer from Co-op on-line, easily and with no fuss. I could choose a weekend delivery at no extra cost. They confirmed delivery by e-mail. They texted the day before to confirm delivery time and telephoned on the day just prior to delivery. The delivery men were polite and helpful and left my house spotless.
Excellent service from beginning to end. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company and I will check here first when I need to purchase any more white goods.
Very poor customer service
Very poor customer service. I bought the wrong kind of washer dryer (totally my fault) and rang them to cancel later that day. I was told I would receive a refund in 3 to 5 days, with an apology for it taking so long.
Since 6 days have passed and I received no email confirming the cancellation, or the money back, I rang today to be told that while the order had definitely been cancelled, no one had bothered to refund my money. The reason for this was, I was told I had clearly spoken to the wrong department (ie sales) who probably didn’t know what button to press to refund my money. The man I spoke to said he had issued the refund which would be a further 5 days. When I queried how it was possible I had to wait even longer, Jo informed me that Co op in fact have 28 days to refund me. Presumably implying I should think myself lucky....?
I wouldn't buy from the coop again.
