Warning - stay away from PLUTUS
Started on the Plutus platform 4 years ago. Was able to 'earn' a nice amount of PLU with cashback with the Plutus card.
Have always been a loyal customer with a payed subscription, which I consider as an investment in the Plutus platform.
Along the road, several 'required' policy changes were made by Plutus. Ofcourse, all in the best interest of their customers. At least, so they say.. Every change had an impact on qualifying for rewards or services often resulting in losing them and made you invest more to ensure you got to the level of being qualified again.
This proces kept on repeating itself until it took extreme forms. A couple of examples:
- Users were tempted with yearly subscriptions and metal cards to qualify for extra benefits which got stripped away not much later. Left a lot of customers invested in the platform but who lost what they invested for.
- Moving your PLU into self custody wallets would mark you as a violator and thread to the system, which resultded in penalties sometimes including closing your account.
Several months later, it was new policy all users started using self custody.
- Users were tempted with new features to swap PLU for gift cards which was supposed to work with 'dynamic fees'. Shortly after release, these dynamic fees appeared to be static and were up to 80%(!) of the giftcard value.
- 'New plans and features for 2025' were presented to become available. What Plutus did not tell this would involve a new set of policies to make you pay, sometimes more, for services that were supposed to be free.
These policies were forced in the form of new user agreements which would result in termination of your account within 30 days in case you would not accept these.
Not accepting would also block you out of the system, losing access to your PLU investment.
- New policies required to move your 'internal PLU' stack to selfcustody, otherwise losing your reward level and it's benefits for which I had worked several years.
On top of this, moving your 'internal PLU' would either require you to invest in more PLU to 'qualify' for a free payout or to make you pay 33%(!!) fee to withdraw your PLU.
I have many more examples, but I will save you the time of reading them all.
Crypto is all about creating a community to make a project a succes. In the first year, improvement feedback to Plutus was open on forums and was being discussed. Over the years, Plutus got it's ambassadors to silence any negative feedback on forums and even had users removed for asking valid questions.
I got to the point where there was a forum created on a platform, called; 'Plutus uncensored'.
To me, silencing your loyal paying customers is the nail in the coffin.
I have been a long time supporter of Plutus, but at this moment I feel betrayed by Plutus and feel ashamed I have ever supported this company.
I do want to thank Plutus for a very expensive, frustrating, tiring and emotional but VALUABLE lesson; 'Stay away from PLUTUS'.
